You know it's going to be tacky when step-auntie ogles at her niece during her parents' FUNERAL. Unfortunately, I was very much into it.

✔Sapphic Book Bingo Challenge 2025 🌈✨: Micro Trope Board - Teaching the other character a skill
4 stars. I liked this and found it to be addicting but man the main characters Sophia and Eve drove me fucking NUTS. Especially Sophia. She definitely acts like a 19 year old which makes sense because that’s what she is but omg she was grating. Also, I needed Eve to tighten up. There was all of this talk of her dominance but she wasn’t at all. Sophia called all of the shots and Eve was just along for the ride which contradicted her character a bit. I completely understood why she was so hesitant but I was waiting on the moment where she snapped and went after what she wanted but it never really happened. I do like the dynamics between them and I love a good forbidden romance and Eve is the sister to Sophia’s deceased stepfather so she takes in Sophia and her little sister Emmy. The plot was good and kept me hooked but I wanted more from the characters. I’ll get to book two but it’s not something I’m in a rush to get to.

A Definite Steamy Story!
I am not really a fan of continuations of a story that takes up a whole book. Putting that out there. The story itself has a story behind a story. There is heat and lust between the two main characters, Eve and Sophia. The killing of Sophia and Emmy (her half sister’s) parents was a wild scene. Leaving nineteen year old Sophia and nine year old Emmy alone. But when Eve shows up at the funeral, Sophia is pissed. Seems her Aunt whose brother was her step dad, disappeared on her when she was younger, idolizing her. Eve couldn’t explain other than to say that the girls needed protection until they could find out why the mafia gunned down her brother no his wife. The intensity of the story is why I am going to read the next book.

Unexpectedly Addictive – I Couldn’t Put It Down!
I have to admit, I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did. At first, I only picked it up because of the gorgeous cover (yes, I’m guilty of judging a book by its cover!). But once I started reading, I was completely hooked—I couldn’t stop until I finished it!
What really captivated me was the dynamic between the two protagonists, Eve and Sophia. Their chemistry was electric, and the tension between them? Absolutely delicious. And let’s just say… their *thoughts* about each other during those steamy scenes had me grinning like crazy. 😏
If you’re looking for a book with magnetic characters, sizzling tension, and a story that grabs you from the start, don’t hesitate—give this one a try!"

Holy SHIT. The author is an excellent story teller, I was locked in page 1. What a sad/ awesome story, and I loved it. The book is heavily centered around the romance more than the actual story which was a little disappointing - I wanted more of a mix/ balance between what was going on inside and outside of the relationship because the whole mafia thing was incredibly intriguing. If the intention was to focus on the romance though, then 10/10 great job from the author. The SPICEEEE dear god, chefs kiss 🥵👏🏼

Ending on a cliffhanger, this amazing, thrilling book, does not disappoint. A 5 🌟 and so much more. 🔥, sassy with heavy loads of trauma and intense emotions from the FMC's, including little Em 😔. Heartbreaking devastating moments that leaves you shattered for them. Don't miss out. I intend to finish book 2 right now.

The angst of this book? Uff, it really keeps you waiting. But when the moment finally arrives, it is so worth it.

Loved it!
