This was a cute read! It was a little repetitive at times and the ending was a little confusing but as a debut novel, this was a fun read. The characters were easy to love and the magic was easy to imagine and be enchanted by.

Although this book was self published by a local author, it had a good premise and it kept me engaged.

After Audrey's mom and uncle die, Audrey, who is living in Michigan, is contacted by an attorney in Texas, and asked to come down to check out some property that she has inherited. When she gets to Texas she learns that the fairy tales that her mom told her were actually non-fiction, as she meets shape changers, dragons, actual fairies and more. With her other family members dead, the responsibility of fighting evil to keep the magic alive has fallen to Audrey.

A professional editor could give this some polish, but it's an entertaining fantasy read as is.
