The only reason I'm rating this as high as I am is because I did find it absolutely adorable and cliché. Yes cliché in this instance is a good thing. But other than that, I couldn't stand the FMC. Especially since its written as I'm the FMC. I would hope to god im not that stupid and ditzy. It was insulting to women everywhere. We are not all stupid and have to have a man save us every dang time. Like yes sometimes the man coming in to be the hero is hot, but lord some of the situations 🤦‍♀️ had it not been in the pov as me as the character, I think i would have liked it more. Book is not for me at all.

I got the ARC for this book, but I also had the privilege of participating in the original "choose your own romance" version of this story on Kindle Vella. It was a ton of fun and the author did a fantastic job transitioning it to a full book. The transitions are smooth between chapters, so you'd never know they were originally written as a question! June and Z are hilarious together and the jaded and grumpy male lead contrasts great with the innocent sunshine of the female lead. June is not the most competent person in the world but she is not the type to let that stop her from trying anyway and that's empowering to read too. Z's steady and inevitable decline into respect and love for her is a delicious slide into their happily ever after. I definitely recommend this if you don't mind some spice in your romance, though I didn't find the spice overwhelming by any means, so it might be worth just skimming those bits so you can still read the story, honestly. I think it's worth it, personally. Looking forward to reading more by this author!

This book was a breath of fresh air. It's written in 2nd person (as well as 1st person for the other POVs), so you are fully immersed in the story acting as one of the main characters. It's swoony, lighthearted, full of adventure and danger and there is a hot book boyfriend to save you.

This story has so many of my favorite tropes and exactly how I would imagine if all of a sudden a mysterious hot book boyfriend appeared in our real world. Very entertaining.

This was almost a DNF but I’m not a quitter. After I started reading it I realized it was a Kindle Velle turned book and it was very episodic like that. So just when things started moving, the story jerked to a stop. The author could have smoothed this out before turning into a book but didn’t. The main character was also very immature … this is more geared towards YA audiences and except for the blood sucking and sex.

Saved by your hot book boyfriend was immediately giving Wattpad meets choose your own choose your own adventure— then I find out the author had originally written it so it everything was voted on by the readers and then a new chapter was released weekly. That’s wild isn’t it? I love that whole concept. First off, we are the main character, no seriously, it’s all your name and you, and it continues the whole way through. Now this book is hilarious. We’ve all wanted our hot book boyfriends to come to life, and that’s exactly what happens to us in this beautiful ode to wattpad fanfiction. Now. Don’t take this book seriously at all, this is not a book that is wonderfully done, or esteemed literary fiction, but it is so much fun! I laughed out loud to myself throughout the book. Everything follows the fanfiction aspects to a T. Easily predictable, but enjoyable, the inner monologue is fantastic. We have tethered ourselves to a hot book boyfriend, who is broody, mysterious, does all the classic book boyfriend moves, has the dark hair, low growl voice going on and we can’t forget the vampire aspect. EEEE. We accidentally conjure up our book boyfriend Ziros, known as Z. Now somewhere along there, we’ve connected our lifelines, and we’re basically stuck together. So the whole book is us going through our day to day life, while trying to figure out how to remove this connection, while also simultaneously dealing with whatever the fanfiction author throws at us; revealing that the main character is also a sorceress, jealous vampires, arm wrestling, Ziros “white knight” twin brother, a stalker cashier, giant monsters, storms, Poseidon even makes a brief appearance, cults, kidnapping —
The book is also steamy, but not in a way that’s just SMUT every single chapter, there’s a solid balance. We experience the transition of reading about the two characters trying to untether themselves to realizing that they kind of don’t want too, why? Because they’re in LOOOOVE

This is the first full novel I have read from this author, as I was introduced to her writings via Vella. This was the first book I have read in recent times where 'You," the reader, are the FMC. Though at first uncertain if I liked the setup like this, I quickly won over.

Based on current times, 'you', the FMC, have lived a perfectly ordinary life until you visit a mysterious bookstore. Soon after, your life will never be the same! Due to the way the book was set up as choose your own path, sometimes the chapters ended sooner than I would have liked or were a little choppy. However, the author does an excellent job of writing a story that soon sucks you right into the story. The MMC Ziros is too cute! I love that he never mistreats (us), and while not always on board with the situation, he always puts her first...even though he lies to himself about the reasons LOL. I will definitely be picking up other books by this author and highly recommend this be added to your TBR list!

This is my first book from Sky since it's an ebook format instead of serial story!

Since this story was reformatted to be a book, reading it is a little different. I appreciated the note page explaining that since not everyone has experienced reading webtoons, serial stories, or things that are a little different than a traditional plotted book.

That being said, I don't know how long it took for this story to be completed. While reading it, it was fun to see when the story changed and kind of took a completely new turn. It must have been really shocking to read it as weekly episodes.

Written in 2nd person, You go on this adventure. Book Boyfriend is a very lovable demon/vampire/monster that is there with you.

I'm sad that the platform for posting a story like this is gone, but I appreciate all the time that went into making a community Q&A story into this fun read. I am excited to read more from Sky, especially Stolen Bride of the Fae King!

I was super unsure about the POV of this book because, let's be honest it was my first time reading a book like this. HOWEVER, I love June and Z banter and pretty much everything about them. I also enjoyed the suspense of not knowing the supernatural abilities of the different people until further into their story. Overall I rate this is a 10/10. I would definitely pick up book 2 if there was one

need the right guys even if they are jerks

June is like every female, we want that type of male who is attentive, confident, protective and caring. She just doesn’t have the time to meet the right men. Corrine introduces her to guys that fall short which we are al, aware of. So she dreams up her own hot boyfriend until she realizes he has been cursed to a book from her ancestors.

Overall I loved this book and characters.

The premise of this story was good, but the execution was lacking for me. Every two chapters was the FMC being helpless and dumb only to be rescued by the MMC. And not in like a subtle misstep leads to trouble way, but the FMC noticing bad vibes but ignoring it and repeat. But it happens like 12 times throughout the book. I also internally cringed several times about “what the heckin’ heck!!” and “holy crapola!” only for two pages later to be a 🌶️ scene.

This was even better the 2nd time around! I didn't want the story to end but I understand that it had to. This story keeps you wrapped up in it. It keeps you wondering what's going to happen next! How could you not with a hot moody demigod attached to you.
Just one more chapter was a constant while reading this book. When the paperback comes out it will be a permanent part of my collection.

It's safe to say I don't like 2nd person POV.
It took me a while to understand what was going on.
The storyline was messy and just plain chaotic and a bit juvenile.
There was no outright plot either, just scenes and scenes of June getting into trouble and her being clueless about everything surrounding her.

Intriguing POVs!

Was a fun read! This was a nostalgic trip back to my childhood with those great 'choose-your-own-adventure' books being reimagined into a romantic self-insert in the truest sense of the word.

The characters were fun and the romance was sweet.
