Not For Me
For Love or Money was not for me. The storyline was incredulous. Pretty unbelievable, even for fiction. The story seemed to drag, especially with him withholding information from her. Was happy when I read the last page! Sorry.

They took a chance on each other
You can say that Declan Hunt rescued Emily Taylor from a very boring life. You can say that Emily took a chance to get out of dodge, and you would be right. She was tired of everyone telling her how to lead her life except her. She could not understand how on earth she became engaged to her demanding and controlling bank manager. So when billionaire Declan Hunt claimed her to be his fiancée to help him escape tax fraud, she fled with him on his private jet to France.
She had doubts about her choices, but he saw her for who she was for the first time by anyone in her life. He encouraged her to do what she loved to do. To put all of her energy into writing again. Even when Gavin tried to throw a bomb in her decisions, Emily chose Declan. They chose each other. Declan saw where Emily made him want to be a better man. As soon as all of his troubles were settled, they settled their life with their HEA.

Declan and Emma meet at the bank where he needs access to his accounts but isn't getting the cooperation he needs. It leads to a heated encounter with the manager who and Declan telling him that Emily is his fiancé. This deception starts Declan and Emma's path. He needs to get married to get him out of a difficult situation and she agrees but the more time Emma spends with Declan the more it feels like the real thing between them. Will their fake relationship lead them along the path to something real and a happily ever after.

For Love or Money was a great title for this book. Emily's ex fiancee was an underhanded, controlling piece of garbage. I was glad when she kicked him to the curb, but felt he got off two easy. I was a bit frustrated with Declan because he kept refusing to tell Emily the truth, yet wanted her to trust him. I found his actions to be a bit underhanded and borderline manipulative, but nothing is ever as it seems.

This was just bad. Emily is engaged to a guy she clearly loathes but felt empowered to leave at the drop of a hat when a stranger who is having problems accessing his account shows up. Then, the story continues with Declan's reluctance to fill Emily in on his troubles. The couple got on my nerves, and it made me skim through most of the book.

Pretty
That was a pretty story. I'm glad that they both found what was missing in their lives. I wanted to see Gavin get his punishment! He deserves it! The little weasel!
