This is such a delicious May-to-December billionaire romance. Kacey had just taken a hit to her pride and self-confidence, which led her to decide to move back home to St. Louis from New York. On her first night back, she went to the hotel's bar for a drink when an over-indulgent patron approached her, refusing to respect her "no." That's when the gorgeous man sitting a few stools down from her stepped in like a hero. Introductions were made with first names only: Kacey and Sebastian. After all, they'd probably never see each other again. Despite Kacey’s determination to swear off men, the palpable chemistry between them persuaded her otherwise. It turned out he was everything she could have wished for and more. The memories would last her a lifetime.
A few days later, she's at the coffee shop and witnesses a man berating a young woman for accidentally bumping into him and spilling her coffee on his shirt, something she wouldn't have done if he hadn't been invading her space, trying to make her hurry. As he shouts, Kacey steps out of line and gives the man a piece of her mind for being so obnoxiously rude. It turns out he's the same man she spent the night with at the hotel. Personal events aside, now that Kacey is the financial analyst at Aeronautical Enterprises, it becomes her job to find out why the company is bleeding money and stocks are drastically dropping. Kasey's noticed some discrepancies, but without a full forensic audit she has no proof where the money is going.

Gets rescued by a hot sexy man and well has a one-night stand. She will never see him again. Sebastian is CFO of Aeronautical Enterprises. His company stocks are falling and there is sabotage going on. He just needs to figure out how. He goes out and rescues a stunning woman and more. As much as he tries to forget her, he can’t. Oh, my hang on you put it down until the last page has been turned. Kacey is sweet when she wants to be but she has been kicked while down by an unfaithful boyfriend, fired by her job, needing a hug from dad, maybe a job but a drink to clear her head first and while at the bar she meets a hot guy they hit it off the magnetic pull is too strong to ignore so giving in for one night of fun then to dad’s. Sebastien sexy as all get out is in town for an art showing well he was talked into it but while there decides to stop for a drink meeting the most amazing women he couldn’t stay away from her if tried so one night of fun then back to everyday hustle but when he runs into his best friend and he introduce him to his daughter she happens to be his adventure from the night before what a surprise. Kacey accepts a job interview with the CFO and when she walks in of course the man behind the desk is of course is her Sebastien fate is making sure they end up together but he has his rules that she must follow but her independence is getting in the way and her hurt is getting in the way add to that the financial troubles they were having but someone was sabotaging them from the inside by his partner but to prove it is another story but can he prove it with out getting caught, will he be able to save his company with her help, will they figure out a rhythm that works for them as a couple, will she learn to trust again, will he show her that not all men are like her ex. and can they find happiness even with all his rules?

She didn’t recognize Sebastian as her dad’s best friend and he didn’t recognize her as his best friend’s daughter. There chemistry was off the roof. When she went in for the in person interview, she was hired on the spot. Sebastian was the CFO and his partner Drake was the CEO in charge of marketing. Aeronautical Enterprises made private luxury planes, but they were losing clients and their stock was going down. Kacey was tasked with finding out what was going on. She realized someone was embezzling money for two years. His partner and ex wife was trying to do a hostile takeover. He realized the Drake was sabotaging him but he needed the proof. This age-gap romance was delicious and enticing. I enjoyed the build-up and plot twists throughout the storyline. It has Ms. Piper's captivating touch, and I love her ability to draw you in from the beginning. She is adept at both plot and character development. Throw in a relationship that breaks all rules, leaving you with an evocative, steamy tale of a forbidden romance. Kacey and Sebastian should not be good together for many reasons, but they work. Yes, there are challenges to overcome, and I loved how Kacey had a mind of her own, but she still managed to help Sebastian with the problems in his company.
This book checked all the right boxes for a good romance. The storyline oozed substance and quality. The emotional growth between Kacey and Sebastian was the book's beauty for me. It had the right amount of tension, emotion, and heat. Each of the characters has strengths that they bring to the relationship. This was storytelling at its finest.

The writing was okay.
It pissed me off that women who have had a plastic surgery are being degraded, that immediately made the book worse for me.
When Sebastian and Kacey first met, there was some kind of chemistry between them, but it vanished after they met again. It was often mentioned that Sebastian is “dark”, but where was the darkness?!? Also, the spanking in his office was so unnecessary, there was no tension between those two!!!
They know nothing about each other and I bet they won't stay together.
You know who being a traitor came out of nowhere? It was like “we have a traitor. Hm.. maybe it’s someone inside the company. Ah yes it’s iykyk.” Wtf? That could’ve been made better.

I loved the story because it captured my attention at the beginning. The main characters were each strong individuals who clashed at the beginning the story. The attraction between Sebastian and Kacey is intense and goes from 🔥to 🔥🔥🔥in seconds, and it’s like that throughout the story. I loved the strength Kacey had and used in her handling of Sebastian. The story is well written and very entertaining. When his company was in trouble, it was great to see them work together to save it and expose the close enemy and at the end, they get their HEA.

I don't know why it's always older men with younger women, but it works here in this story. Even though Kacey is twenty-six, she has the drive and tenacity of someone older and Sebastian doesn't act nearly twice her age. There is a solid story behind the romance which is always a plus. I enjoy these single novels by Piper Stone and am pleased to add this one to my ever growing library!.

I really enjoyed this story. Sebastian and Kacey are fantastic together. Their chemistry is hot. There was never a point I didn't like. I wish I could have it faster. Definitely one to read all at once. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book, it left me feeling happy and it is such a feel good story. There is a little of everything from Father’s best friend, age gap, corporate greed, ex wife trouble, betrayal, steamy, hot scenes, a kooky friend, and a really wonderful ending. I enjoyed every word.
