This book understood the assignment and then exceeded it.
Yes, there is spice.
Yes, there is danger.
Yes, there are five finger necklaces and praise that will have you putting the book down to breathe.
But what really makes Evyn’s Protector stand out is the devotion. The kind that’s quiet and feral at the same time. The kind that says protection isn’t a role or a choice, it’s instinct. It’s unwavering. It’s absolute.
The romance here isn’t built on flashy things or empty bravado. It’s rooted in trauma, brokenness, and healing. In standing firm when things are ugly. In choosing someone even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.

First let me say that this book has triggers.... You can read all the trigger warnings before stepping foot into this world. When I start reading new books, I need to be engaged from the beginning. The first couple of chapters in this book had me hooked. The storyline was engaging and kept me wanting to read more. The two main characters were well developed about their feelings for each other. The spice was definitely spicing. Yes, there is a lot of spice in this book but there is also romance, action and a great ending. I do hope the 2nd book continues on with the romance, action and spice.
Overall, I gave it a 5-star review because I was never bored, never confused, loved the spice and characters.
