It was supposed to be a one-night stand; a completely anonymous hookup with no strings attached. When that same girl shows up for recruit training and my best friend introduces her as his little sister, however, things get... complicated. Because even though I agreed to a one-night stand, I can’t get Quinn Jacobsen out of my head. It isn’t long before the two of us start sneaking around, and the deeper we get into our web of lies, the more it starts to unravel...

Alpha Jax is book three in the Six-Pack Series, a collection of interconnected paranormal (wolf shifter) romance novels. While this book ends with a HEA for the main characters and no major cliffhangers, there are some overarching storylines that may not be resolved at the conclusion of this book because they run throughout the entirety of the series. As such, the books of this series are best read in order. These books contain mature content (steamy scenes!) and themes that may not be suitable for younger readers. If frequent use of profanity and f-words offend, then these books may not be for you.

❥ 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒏 𝜗𝜚˚⋆ Likeable character. I enjoyed reading her pov, she was relatable and confident.
❥ 𝑱𝒂𝒙 ࣪⋆✮ I liked him although I liked the previous Alphas from this series more.
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This was good but to be honest it bored me a little bit. The book is similar to the previous books and I will not continue reading this series. There is no thrilling plot and I needed to push myself to keep reading. It‘s not per se a bad book but I got the feeling each story has the same basic blue print and only some tropes were new and different from before. Quinn and Jax were good together although I‘m not a big fan of „brothers best friend“. It was well done and I enjoyed their dynamic. Like I said before I had the impression that there is nothing new/special/unique in this book. I don‘t like series were the author writes the same story over and over again just in a different font.
𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 ᡣ𐭩ྀི₊ ⊹ possessive and protective hero, werewolf, shifter romance, instant attraction, fated mates, alpha wolf, fantasy, forced proximity, training camp, forbidden love, brothers best friend, second chance, one night stand, he falls first
Super spicy read. Forced proximity. Fated mates. Second chance. Brothers best friend. Forbidden…. If any of these are your jam…. You should enjoy this book.
Honestly, I LOVED this book in the series. It was written so well, and the story isn't just spicy material which makes the book and the series THAT much better. Not to say the spicy level is not amazing because it definitely is, I feel like with some authors who write these kinds of books when they have character shifts (or even just one character) they write the spicy scenes the same and it gets to be monotonous but not C.J. Primer! I absolutely ADORED Quinn and her personality as well as Jax's. They were such a good and cute couple! I really loved their relationship dynamic versus Fallon/Grey or Brooke/Theo (but I loved theirs too). I love the plot of the Shadow pack and how that story plays into the book and that we still get to see the other characters from the previous books, and we get to see how the other Alpha's are from an outside POV before their book. The story flowed really well, and I LOVE the continuity of the story and the characters from the previous books, some authors get sloppy with the timeline of things or just small details but not this author! 10/10 recommend and 5/5 stars such a good read!
Finally we get a story where the FMC isn’t a virgin! Hallelujah!
Within the first few chapters of the book we have a hell of a steamy and exciting one night stand between Jax and Quinn and damn was this book wayyyy hotter than the previous books.
The forbidden fruit always tastes the sweetest and all the sneaking around between Jax and Quinn was hot! Hook ups in the shower room, forest, behind the complex… this was saucy.
It was nice to see Brooke’s previous story regarding her wolf come into this, and also the ongoing threat from the shadow pack heating up, looks like we will see some fighting between them soon.
Quinn was great, sassy and not a push over but still we saw that she had a vulnerable side and this was sweet. She was a well rounded character. Jax really grew in this one and it was adorable how he kept wanting to tell Theo the truth even though he knew he would take a beating and like a man he accepted that beating when the time came. He seems like a genuinely good guy but with a god damn dirty streak that I loved.
I’m glad Theo came round in the end even before they knew they were mates because he basically did the same when he was hiding his relationship with Brooke from Quinn. He still has a lot to work out and I hope we see him flourish when he becomes Alpha.
This book was probably the steamiest yet as the hook ups were there from the get go and I am here for it! I hope there is more of the same with Brock, he is so bitter but I get it so it will be interesting to see how the bitter alpha reacts when he meets his mate (before the full moon and they know for sure ) but I don’t think he is the type to jump into another relationship after his last break up, looking forward to his book.
Divertido y caliente.

Another great installment in the series. Book one was okay but the following books have all been very enjoyable reads; refreshing considering so many shifter books are
A brothers best friend romance. They have an anonymous one night stand in another pack territory. When she shows up to the training facility to train and work in their IT sector, she discovers that her one night stand was none other than her brother’s best friend and future alpha of one of the six-packs.
The magnetic pull between them is too much for either to resist so they sneak around behind her brother’s back. If found out their secret could threaten pack alliances, friendships, and her relationship with her brother.
The author does a fantastic job of communicating the irresistible pull between them as well as slowly building the threat of their secret being revealed and upending their lives. Every time I was thinking “is this the time they get caught?” The reveal is superbly done as is what comes after.
Jax is one of the Alphas leading the training camp. He's pent up and needs a break from the campus. He goes with Reid to his pack bar. He winds up meeting a mystery girl who only wants a one night stand. No names no personal info. Jax was cool with that. He felt an instant pull to go to her on the dance floor. From there, he needed her alone. She was dressed in a red tight dress. The night was a frenzy of constant sex. She left in the morning. Weird how they each wanted more of each other. Quinn had just broken up with her boyfriend, Clay and was working at her pack bar. She was the Alphas daughter. Her co-workers, Kyle and her decided to give the training camp a go. Quinn wanted both the fighting training and the IT hub learning. Her brother, Theo, was already there as one of the head instructors. Once Quinn got onto the practice field she saw her brother huddled around her hot stranger!!
I truly, absolutely love werewolf stories! I love the thrill of the unknown, and the fact that their way of life comes before everything else. I love the way a mate bond works, how you can try to turn away from true love, but in the end the bond always works things out. Now, don't get me wrong, I would not want to have that in my life personally; but isn't that what makes a novel so truly wonderful, you become someone else in the comforting arms of a wonderful author.
*Possible Spoiler* The main male character seems like a total, well, someone who is completely audacious (for lack of a better word). Supercilious as all get out, and could just be a huge aggravation in the beginning chapter. Give him a chance, it does get better as you read on.
This series gets better the further you get into it. The chemistry between Jax and Quinn is explosive. I found myself hooked on this storyline and wanting to find out when Theo realises his best friend is hooking up with his sister!
The main storyline is a continuation through all of the books and in this one the Six Pack realise the Shadow Pack have become a real threat and plans are put into play. Previous characters from Alpha Gray return and there are a couple of new mating pairs revealed. The ending sets up the next book and I can't wait to delve in.
This book is full of chemistry and explosive scenes between the main characters as well as the humour and seriousness between the Alphas.
Jax and Quinn are a hoot. They meet at a bar while out with friends. Have an instant hot attraction and a steamy one night stand withholding their identities from each other. A few weeks later they meet again. Quinn just happens to be Jaxs best friends little sister and is totally off limits. Oh NO! This is the start of the most hilariously funny cat and mouse sneaking around game ever. The sex is off the charts steamy and hot. Just remember secrets have a way of blowing up.
This is one great story. I also love how the underlying story of the shadow pack threat plays throughout the series. 4.5/5 stars
Couldn’t put it down this book! It is just so good I came across it on a random reddit post about good werewolf romance books and it did not disappoint! Honestly I’ve read a lot of werewolf book and this is probably my favorite series of all time! I couldn’t even tell you which of the three books I’ve read from the series is my favorite and I imagine it’s the next books are going to be just as good.If you’re reading this trying to decide if you want to read this book or not, just read it. it’s so good you will not regret it! I don’t usually buy books either I am an Amazon unlimited reader but i took the leap and bought the first one and you should too
It's a brother's best friend, slow burn werewolf romance. I was hesitant to read this because I typically don't gravitate to the brother's best friend trope but I am so glad I did. It was amazing. This is your sign to give something a try you normally won't. You might love it. This story had everything I want in a romance...slow burn, spice, a loyal and protective MMC, a strong and sassy FMC and more.
Also, CJ Primer's writing style is so good because it's easy to follow and helps make the captivating plot and well-developed characters easy to fall in love with. Check this book out!
Really enjoyed this series there all light hearted and have happy endings!
I read this as a filler book whilst I was waiting for a series I was originally reading to be updated I unknowingly read this one first and it was really good so good that I went back and read the whole series and pre ordered the ones yet to be released from Amazon
You can read these as stand alone books but they flow better as you’ll know who the characters are throughout.
Holy moly. I really liked Quinn and Jaxon's story and I loved their characters. Quinn is a strong female but soo likable, just as Jaxon. Loved them!! Shifter story ✔️ Brothers best friend ✔️ Alpha energy ✔️ Forbidden romance ✔️ Lot's of spicy scenes ✔️
Overall a great book if you're into werewolf stories. Since it's the third book in de series, the overall plot moves a little further along, which is great! Can't wait to read the next one!
Definitely the best out of this series so far. FMC and MMC had so much chemistry. It was annoying how hypocritical Theo was about their relationship when he finally found out. This book took me on a journey of spice and high risk sneaking around which is always fun. Well done! Quick cute read not lots of drama compared to Theo and Brooke’s story. Last book fell flat on spice for me but this one delivered:)
I love how long their tension is stretched out through the book, it’s honestly beautiful how the author is great at making the characters actually do a good change and shift in how they go from disliking eachother to forgiveness and empathy and back to love. So nice to see that level of writing in a shifter book when most thirsty ass shifter authors just go into a wild lust haze 😂💀this author has control which I respectttt.
I’m really enjoying this series so far. The books are relatively light hearted without too much drama. That being said this was my least favourite of the 3 so far. I liked the main characters but it felt like it was mostly sex and not much else. I’m all for a good sex scene but if that’s all I’m looking for I’ll buy an erotic novel.
Just when you think the story (of the six-pack series) can't get any better... From book one, Jax has been one of my favorite Alpha’s so reading his story was completely satisfying. This book was everything I expected and more... If you haven't read the first two books (Alpha Gray, Alpha Theo) go get them now! You won't be disappointed...
All I can say is that to me, Jaxy, is the very best. I love him the most out of all the other Alphas which, says a lot since I love all the other Alphas too. However, none of them are like Jax’s character. Ideal guy, leader, friend, Brother, Son, and most importantly mate. He’s the best.
I’ve been going through just a ton of shifter romance books and really probably just bored with most but this series by C.J. primer was really enjoyable. I laughed, I cried, I was… well… you know, the “good parts” were good if ya know what I mean. So yeah, 10 out of 10 recommend these for a pleasant read.
Loved the audio for this one. Jax is hands down my favorite so far of the series. Who doesn't love a good forbidden romance, especially brother's best friend. Quinn is a bad ass. Think she's my favorite FMC of the series so far. The tension, sneaking around, and suspence of if and when they'd get caught kept me on the edge.
I have read all 3 books and can't wait for Alpha Brock. The stories are each different, capturing each of the alphas personalities, consistency in the flow of the stories, and building up for the encounter with Shadow pack.
This one has been the hottest so far! This series is just awesome!! Enough suspense to keep the story going & hook ya, but overall it’s a happy story! Can’t wait to see the other guys stories!! I hope I don’t have to wait too long!!
I was hooked with Gray and Fallon. I look forward to each book. Love Jax and Quinn. I can't wait to read Brock and Reid's stories and see how things turn out with the Shadow Pack.
The book was AMAZING. EVERY SINGLE BOOK CJ makes in the 6-pack series is so amazing. Next is Alpha Reid’s book!! Which is the fifth book of the series. And I can’t wait. I’m so excited. Keep ‘em coming CJ.
And the Six Pack fun continues! While the female lead is not one of my favourites, our Alpha Jax had me rolling in hysterics the whole time. Plus the seamless continuation of the world and characters is brilliant.
Read Through Goodnovel. Another set of main characters I liked but Quinn got a bit annoying when the writer tried to make her second guess if the relationship would work etc.. Jax also a close second to my favourite Alpha. On to the next book!
Alpha Jax Stars: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ This book was by far my favorite out of the series. I loved both main characters. Jax was very attentive and I loved how they were as a couple. Very spicy and super sweet easy read.
