I had a few issues with this book at the beginning. I very much dislike the rude-people-to-lovers trope, but this one redeemed itself beautifully. Bonus points for all the feels and no third-act breakup, so five stars overall.
Delia was a cold bitch and a man-hater. However, she had good reasons for it, so we’ll forgive her. She was initially rude to Enzo, but that was clearly a defense mechanism, so this too will be forgiven. Enzo was a bit of a grump as well, so it’s no surprise the beginning was rocky—but somehow, I fell in love with both of them early on.
There was a lot to love about this book. I especially appreciated the depiction of motherhood. Delia’s struggles felt very real, even though her kids were extraordinary.
I also loved that the relationship wasn’t rushed. It wasn’t spelled out, but I got the sense that Delia might be demisexual. Combined with her general distrust of men, it made sense that she needed time. The slower pace of the story worked perfectly—it gave Enzo time to earn her trust, get to know her daughters, and become part of their big, weird family.
Highly recommended for all single-mom trope lovers.

definitely my favorite in the series! I loved Delia and Enzo’s chemistry, the enemies to lovers is sooo good. Plus the shenanigans of the inhabitants of the brownstone is top notch. I also loved the way he keeps on showing up for Delia and the twins. I loved the writing style.
I will miss the momcoms so much but I’m so glad I read the series ✨🌙

This was okay, I think? Plot wise, it was an enjoyable read, with an enemies-to-lovers and grumpy-grumpy combo. I knew Delia (35) was going to find her own man, and it was her contractor, Enzo (40).
Like the first two books, this was an instant attraction with a slow burn. I finally understand why Delia swore off men, and I can't blame her. She's a fierce character, after all. As for Enzo, I can't fully like him because he's got a manhoe vibe—maybe not worse, but still bad. Not heavily implied but can be read between the lines. And, mind you, Delia has been celibate for the last nine years. So this is definitely a personal issue, because knowing this info is more than enough to put me in a sour mood for the rest of the book.
In this particular aspect, at least I could say Beckett (book 1) and Cortney (book 2) are still way better. These two are downright obvious, not manhoes. Why am I fixated on this over the story? Beats me. I just can't remove it from the forefront of my mind.
Anyway, manhoe aside, I found myself losing interest in some parts. It felt dragging at times, and idk but I feel like this could've been a few pages short. The mundane things and daily routine of this unconventional family don't need to be mentioned repeatedly. I feel like the ending was rushed, and the bonus epilogue with three years later only features Dylan and Delia's POV. I wish this would've had each couple's POV and glimpses into their lives in the future.
PS. I haven't read the third book yet. I'm not a fan of reverse age gap, also, the H there was a party boy, idk what that means. 🥲🤷♀️

I called it! I knew Delia’s book would be my favorite and it was! This series has been a blast to read, every one of them weaved seamlessly as a series, very entertaining, sexy, and full of laughter. Delia was my favorite character ever since I met her in Mother Faker, she was such a bad-ass as a mom and a friend. In this book, we learned about her story, as we didn’t get too much of her back story unless you read the prologue, Mom Com. She is fiercely independent due to being mostly neglected by her parents, and I really admire her decision to have children on her own. She did all she could to ensure the best for her children, even before she started to conceive (meticulous selection of the best sperm donor money can buy), while still being a woman thriving in her career as a lawyer. She might come off as arrogant and condescending towards men, but she gradually softens ever since Beckett and eventually Enzo come into their lives.

Enzo, my love, my man! I thought I was firm that Beckett was my favorite, but Enzo came really close to taking that position. I freaking love this man, he is grumpy too, but his grumpiness cannot match her highness, Delia. And he was so patient and persistent in dealing with Delia’s stubbornness. Once he acknowledges his feelings, he doesn’t beat around the bush and is upfront with her about his intention. He’s just such a no-bullshit man, always gets the job done and goes after what he wants, and that is exactly the kind of man for Delia. And don’t forget the twins! These little monsters stole my heart ever since they extorted a fortune from Beckett. The fact that Enzo is smart and nerdy enough to keep up with the girls, is another sign of how he is just the perfect man for Delia and the girls.

I called it! I knew Delia’s book would be my favorite and it was! This series has been a blast to read, every one of them weaved seamlessly as a series, very entertaining, sexy, and full of laughter. Delia was my favorite character ever since I met her in Mother Faker, she was such a bad-ass as a mom and a friend. In this book, we learned about her story, as we didn’t get too much of her back story unless you read the prologue, Mom Com. She is fiercely independent due to being mostly neglected by her parents, and I really admire her decision to have children on her own. She did all she could to ensure the best for her children, even before she started to conceive (meticulous selection of the best sperm donor money can buy), while still being a woman thriving in her career as a lawyer. She might come off as arrogant and condescending towards men, but she gradually softens ever since Beckett and eventually Enzo come into their lives.

Enzo, my love, my man! I thought I was firm that Beckett was my favorite, but Enzo came really close to taking that position. I freaking love this man, he is grumpy too, but his grumpiness cannot match her highness, Delia. And he was so patient and persistent in dealing with Delia’s stubbornness. Once he acknowledges his feelings, he doesn’t beat around the bush and is upfront with her about his intention. He’s just such a no-bullshit man, always gets the job done and goes after what he wants, and that is exactly the kind of man for Delia. And don’t forget the twins! These little monsters stole my heart ever since they extorted a fortune from Beckett. The fact that Enzo is smart and nerdy enough to keep up with the girls, is another sign of how he is just the perfect man for Delia and the girls.

В принципі книжка сподобалась, але я до останнього очікувала чогось цікавого зі справою яка вела Делія, а ��ак якось було мало. Родина ДіЛука мені сподобалась на половину, бо з одного боку вони дружні та веселі, але з іншого боку вони не дають своєму сину вибору щодо його стосунків, ну не хоче людина їх, вона ж сама має повне право вирішувати все ж таки, оця частина для мене була неприємною, бо відчуття що чгг не знає хто ж йому підходить. Ну і близнючки Коллетт та Фібі в цій частині мені більше сподобались.

It's time for Medusa's story.
Delia has been my least favourite character of the four single mums so I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this book. I will admit I didn't enjoy it as much as the others but it was still really good.
It was fun to see Enzo slowly take Delia down a peg or two and see her loosen up a bit.
I fell for all the characters living in the Brownstone and I will miss them.

Enzo was the perfect book boyfriend, and the weekend get away he gave to Delia, and the way that she shared her fears and what happened in her past to get her to the place she was, was also heart breaking. But the way that Enzo showed up for them time and again, and he promised them he would always show up for his girls, was just the most swooniest thing ever!!!
I loved this series so much, I am so sad it's over. These characters will live in my heart forever!

Unfortunately I didn't love this one as much, Enzo and Delia took quite a while to get together and almost to the very end they were saying they "think" they love. I understand Delia had years of mistrust in men to get over but it took away some of the warm and squishy feelings that this series generally gave. Even in the extended epilogue it took 3 years later before a proposal actually happened. That is an entirely ME issue but it definitely brought my rating down

First of all this series has been one of my absolute favourites! I was literally counting down to this release and it was my favourite of them all.
We finally get Delia's story, the man hating assistant district attorney and mom of two who's also the owner of the monstrous brownstone that they all live in. For months the repairs have been held up as she's run every contractor off, but with baby Willow soon to appear time is of the essence.
Enzo is the CEO of Diluca Construction and was strong armed by Beckett into accepting the job for the work on the broken down old home. He's reluctant to take the job because his schedule is packed but he agrees. Meeting the gorgeous homeowner he's very glad that he did.

“Delia: Keep dreaming.

Omg, this one was worth the whole series 😍
The story was perfect, you had the build up of them getting to know each other, Enzo was his own man and held his own. He was there for Delia and her girls when they needed him and knew how important it was to not let them down. I could not get enough of their dynamic. 🥹

Bonus chapter - 1
This book was so beautifully written, that it all began with two now-friends meddling their way into the life of the last single mom in the Brownstone. The prologue intrigued me, I was happy to see Beckett and Cortney become friends and be a TEAM. Beckett was one smart man, he set Delia up because he knew how her brain works and he got the fuckin result he desired.
Delia is an underdog, here I said it. She has struggled silently, being an overachiever can be taxing and her POV in the first chapter proved everything right. Delia has been cut badly and I couldn't help but agree with her idea of swearing off men, because same. This girl worked her ass off only to be pulled down by insecure men who couldn't see her succeed. It was after this moment I was more interested in her and Enzo's story, both of them were strong on the outside but had a desire to prove a lot on the inside, which is something I relate to a great deal of the time.
Enzo was one good man, he loved his family wholeheartedly, and the way he fit in the Brownstone after the very first meeting showed he was always going to end up with the untraditional beautiful family. I loved how Enzo stood up for Delia when Beckett and Cortney were raising their concerns. He didn't even know her that well and yet he took a stand for her. Enzo was a grump on the outside but he was secretly soft for his princesses. The tiny but meaningful gestures made my heart well. Delia deserved the world and I was happy to see someone taking charge and doing the bare minimum to bring a smile to her face. He was emotionally mature, I liked how he seized an opportunity as soon as he saw one. He knew Delia had her walls up, but he was ready to climb them and demolish them. He understood her need to bring the walls up after one close encounter yet he decided to say his feelings out loud and tell her where he wanted things to go and that is a GOOD MAN. He was so respectful of her boundaries and I enjoyed how he knew sometimes he had to step up to gain her trust and love. He was persistent about breaking her walls and he did it with time. He proved himself not just to her, but her daughter's and that means something. The moment he showed up for twins, I almost teared up. Showing up for children can have a huge impact on their personalities and he was there for them.

“No,” I countered. “They prefer doormats with big tits and no opinions.”
He leaned in. “Not this gentleman. I like a fiery blonde with brains, sass, and bigger balls than most men.” OMFG THIS GUY, he said the right words for Delia. This whole chapter was beautiful and unique. Their relationship was unlike any couple in the series, it was a tough love kinda situation here and I enjoyed every moment of it.
Delia was such a good mom, and even though Phoebe and Collette weren't my favorites, Daphne explored their character more and showed their hidden features. The writing of this book brought out a lot of their personalities and that stood out. I liked how Delia communicated with her daughters and preferred the truth over hiding things from them.
The banter between Delia and Enzo was hilarious, the whole grumpy × grumpy theme along with enemies to lovers fit them so well. The angst here was high and I loved it. Their relationship took time but these characters had great elevating chemistry. Delia was no less for a partner, rather she was so much above, she was strong, sharp, and bold. I loved when she took a stand for Enzo when required and he did the same.

FAVOURITE MOMENTS -
The boy's group chat was hilarious. I enjoyed how they communicated and made fun. They were so different from one another and yet they all worked like a team because they all fell for a group of single moms.
I loved how the author once again explored the girl's friendship and showed the deep bond they shared. Delia had her girls back, but they had hers too and it was beautiful to watch them go all protective to protect her and the twins. This friendship was one of the main reasons I picked this book, and except for in the second book it was fun and heartwarming to watch it grow and see how their love went beyond Delia.
So many family moments, and Istg those all were pure gems. They brought instant smiles and happiness to my face and every time I saw them, I realized this was the end of the series and wouldn't be seeing all these hilarious characters again, and I'm gonna miss them.

The ending was phenomenal, Delia deserved all the love and care, and Enzo provided her with all the attention and support in the world.
The series epilogue was gorgeous, it made me sad and happy at the same time. I kind of felt bad that Rowan didn't get his POV in this epilogue however each family had their ending, and the men's friendship was a bonus. It was a beautiful end to the series, thoroughly cherished it.

This book was so beautifully written, that it all began with two now-friends meddling their way into the life of the last single mom in the Brownstone. The prologue intrigued me, I was happy to see Beckett and Cortney become friends and be a TEAM. Beckett was one smart man, he set Delia up because he knew how her brain works and he got the fuckin result he desired.
Delia is an underdog, here I said it. She has struggled silently, being an overachiever can be taxing and her POV in the first chapter proved everything right. Delia has been cut badly and I couldn't help but agree with her idea of swearing off men, because same. This girl worked her ass off only to be pulled down by insecure men who couldn't see her succeed. It was after this moment I was more interested in her and Enzo's story, both of them were strong on the outside but had a desire to prove a lot on the inside, which is something I relate to a great deal of the time.
Enzo was one good man, he loved his family wholeheartedly, and the way he fit in the Brownstone after the very first meeting showed he was always going to end up with the untraditional beautiful family. I loved how Enzo stood up for Delia when Beckett and Cortney were raising their concerns. He didn't even know her that well and yet he took a stand for her. Enzo was a grump on the outside but he was secretly soft for his princesses. The tiny but meaningful gestures made my heart well. Delia deserved the world and I was happy to see someone taking charge and doing the bare minimum to bring a smile to her face. He was emotionally mature, I liked how he seized an opportunity as soon as he saw one. He knew Delia had her walls up, but he was ready to climb them and demolish them. He understood her need to bring the walls up after one close encounter yet he decided to say his feelings out loud and tell her where he wanted things to go and that is a GOOD MAN. He was so respectful of her boundaries and I enjoyed how he knew sometimes he had to step up to gain her trust and love. He was persistent about breaking her walls and he did it with time. He proved himself not just to her, but her daughter's and that means something. The moment he showed up for twins, I almost teared up. Showing up for children can have a huge impact on their personalities and he was there for them.
" As they say, gentlemen prefer blondes.”
“No,” I countered. “They prefer doormats with big tits and no opinions.”
He leaned in. “Not this gentleman. I like a fiery blonde with brains, sass, and bigger balls than most men.” OMFG THIS GUY, he said the right words for Delia. This whole chapter was beautiful and unique. Their relationship was unlike any couple in the series, it was a tough love kinda situation here and I enjoyed every moment of it.
Delia was such a good mom, and even though Phoebe and Collette weren't my favorites, Daphne explored their character more and showed their hidden features. The writing of this book brought out a lot of their personalities and that stood out. I liked how Delia communicated with her daughters and preferred the truth over hiding things from them.
The banter between Delia and Enzo was hilarious, the whole grumpy × grumpy theme along with enemies to lovers fit them so well. The angst here was high and I loved it. Their relationship took time but these characters had great elevating chemistry. Delia was no less for a partner, rather she was so much above, she was strong, sharp, and bold. I loved when she took a stand for Enzo when required and he did the same.

FAVOURITE MOMENTS -
The boy's group chat was hilarious. I enjoyed how they communicated and made fun. They were so different from one another and yet they all worked like a team because they all fell for a group of single moms.
I loved how the author once again explored the girl's friendship and showed the deep bond they shared. Delia had her girls back, but they had hers too and it was beautiful to watch them go all protective to protect her and the twins. This friendship was one of the main reasons I picked this book, and except for in the second book it was fun and heartwarming to watch it grow and see how their love went beyond Delia.
So many family moments, and Istg those all were pure gems. They brought instant smiles and happiness to my face and every time I saw them, I realized this was the end of the series and wouldn't be seeing all these hilarious characters again, and I'm gonna miss them.

The ending was phenomenal, Delia deserved all the love and care, and Enzo provided her with all the attention and support in the world.
The series epilogue was gorgeous, it made me sad and happy at the same time. I kind of felt bad that Rowan didn't get his POV in this epilogue however each family had their ending, and the men's friendship was a bonus. It was a beautiful end to the series, thoroughly cherished it.

Mother Hater is a warm, funny, and relatable gem that wraps up a series that’s been filled with love, family chaos, and plenty of home renovation antics. And trust me, there's a lot to love here – though, as with every good thing, there are a few bumps along the way.
Let’s start with the good stuff because there’s plenty of it! The first half of the book is a true delight. Elliott has a knack for creating characters that feel like people you’d love to be friends with—if not, move in next door to. The twins were especially great. Adorable and wonderfully depicted. Their sibling dynamics added a refreshing and comedic layer to the family madness. And Delia! Finally, a more nuanced take on her. Instead of being stuck with the “man hater/dragon” image, we see her with more depth, and it worked wonders for the story. I felt like I finally got Delia, and dare I say, even rooted for her at points.
Enzo was also a standout, though, like Rowan, he was almost too flawless. I wish their banter would have been a bit longer, but every so often we all need a little escapism with a side of idealized love interests.
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: Beckett. The poor guy—he deserved a break from the constant “he’s an idiot, but we love him” narrative. I get it, he's the lovable goofball, but sometimes it felt like it was being hammered home just a tad too much. I mean, give the guy some credit! He’s one of the most important characters throughout the series, and I wish the final goodbye could have highlighted this a bit more!

Why didn’t we get the scene where Beckett dropped the news? That could’ve been hilarious! It was like the wrap-up was there, but it didn’t hit with the emotional punch I was hoping for.
Overall, though, Mother Hater was a solid, entertaining conclusion to an incredibly fun series. Can’t believe I binge read this series in a week and it’s all over now 🥺😭. Delia had an amazing redemption story. And it wrapped up so nicely. The star of the whole series for me is Beckett with an honourable mention to Dylan! Overall, it’s a solid 4/5 series for me and a light feel good that didn’t require too much focus.

The slow burn romance Mother Hater by Daphne Elliot centers on the relationship between lawyer Cordelia Masters and contractor Enzo DiLuca.
I thought this would be fun because I've enjoyed every book I've read by Daphne thus far and because it had a lot of my favorite tropes, but I couldn't get through it and ended up dnf'ing.
The lack of swearing in the book is one of the things that really got to me. Although the series is called The Momcoms because it centers on a group of mothers, which implies that children are present throughout the books, nobody would swear even when they weren’t around. For example, they would say “ducking” instead of “fucking,” which was just absurd.
Also, I had anticipated that things would improve a little after I passed the 50% point, but they didn't. That is to say, I was expecting to sense some chemistry or tension between Enzo and Cordelia, but I got none. Both of them were incredibly dull.
I suppose the one thing about the book that I appreciated was that Enzo’s parents were immigrants.
I tried finishing this, but I just wasn’t into the book.

Delia isn't sure at first but she falls for him and when she saw the effort it took him to get to her and the girls on the award ceremony
I loved them and I loved the epilogue everyone moved into their own houses on the same street .

Hilarious enemies to lovers!
Second read through of Mother Hater: loved it just as much as the first time! If it involves the Boston Bolts hockey team and/or the Boston Revs baseball team plus the women who surround them, then I’m definitely going to read it and enjoy every moment of it 😃
First read through of Mother Hater: 5 star read! Sad to conclude the Momcoms series, but I adored the series conclusion epilogue at the end!

Oh gosh! A bitter-sweet moment. The final book of the mom com series. This was amazing!!! I fell in love with Enzo first, then Delia lol. I loved this book and the story. Specially the twins they are fantastic. I love all the moms and kids. I love how this story gives a closure to the entire series and still gives a great preview of the future. Delia is amazing, I was single mom for 4 years and it was really hard. This entire series awake some memories. I love and I’m jealous of what the girls have. Gosh! This is a romcom right? why I’m crying in chapter 35? Read the chapter and you are going to know why. It was emotional for me. I really cry with Enzo and the girls. Enzo Family is crazy! I love them. The text messages with the men, and the ones with moms are really good. I love them all. Delia is perfect, I love her personality and Enzo’s too. I love how alike they are and how much they complement each other. Another perfect match. I love, love, love their lunch dates!!! Love it. Owen there was really a surprise and can’t wait for his story. And Astrid was a surprise too, love her here, I miss Havenport. Enzo is amazing. I wasn't expecting him like that. I love Daphne's lumberjacks but I was really missing reading her non-lumberjacks stories. Love this book so much. Don’t forget to read the epilogue it was fantastic.
Update: this audiobook was everything I needed for this story! Omg! I love it so much. Both narrators are definitely the perfect Enzo and Delia. Chapter 35, 36 and 37 way more emotional in audio! Gosh I love it so so much!Thank You Daphne you are the best.

This entire book fell flat for me. I needed way more. Delia was my least favorite character and I still don't love her. There was not enough character growth and development for her in this and NOT enough drama with the MMC and his ex. I felt like nothing happened in this book. Meh - I finished it for the series but I would have been content with reading the epilogue and calling it a day.

Enzo and Delia were so much fun to read, the banter between the two had me hooked from their first meeting, I’m such a sucker for an enemies to lovers/ loathing to lovers trope, it’s too much fun to see them teasing each other and getting on one another nerves,
Her two little girls were so cute, (and unbelievably smart) their interactions with Enzo had me heart melting, and don’t get my started on Delia!!!
I absolutely loved her, she was a boss ass b**** who wasn’t afraid to stand her ground, go dominate and hold power in every room, she was ‘as cold as ice’ and any man has coward and ran from her, wanting her to change…
But not Enzo, he loved her power, her sass and smart mouth, her heels and authority, he worshiped the ground she walked on and never for a second wanted to diminish her spark, he adored her and I absolutely loved that he didn’t act annoying when he was with a woman who could be completely happy without him…
Who didn’t need to hold onto a man for help, he knew her strength on her own, and just wanted to be an added benefit in her life, a friend, lover, and someone she could count on.
I absolutely LOVED EM! I read it in a sitting because I couldn’t stop.
I won’t lie the reason this doesn’t get a 5 star for me was because it was SO difficult to understand everything going on with all the characters for a good 30% of the book, I couldn’t wrap my head around the role everyone had in everyone’s lives.
This is an interconnected standalone series, but it feels like you kinda…almost need the other books to not feel as overwhelmed and confused by all the characters, but even with that it’s not too much of a annoyance since all the other characters were interesting,
And I got hooked on them and now wanna read their stories! But just wanted to point that out for some honesty! 💗
With that being said definitely go and put this on your calendar cus ya don’t wanna miss it! Trust🤭 while your waiting go and read those other books in this series 🤸🏻♀️

Mother Hater is the final book in the momcoms series and Daphne Elliot gave us a banger for the final book! Delia and Enzo’s love story was hard fought and absolutely beautiful.

What a perfect way to wrap up the Momcom series!! And this was an another fantastic audiobook to listen to! Delia has sworn off men for years, but there does seem to be one man that is intrigued by her fierce and sassy attitude - enter Enzo! The only contractor who seems to have convinced Delia that he is the man for their brownstone. But the way he perfectly just fits in and isn't put off by the chaos of the house had me swooning. And then the shining twins even like him = major green flags! He is so perfectly sweet and patient with Delia and I love them together!

4/4 of the Momcoms series and UGH I know I said Shy's my favorite story but now I'm not so sure because this book did my girl Delia some justice (no pun intended 😉). Enzo was definitely the perfect man for her - the way he called her PRINCESS - uggghh kill me noww the swoon was never ending this one. They are similar in that they both take pride in their work and look after anyone but their own so when Enzo can see through Delia and WHEN SHE LET HIM - it was game over.
The communication between them was top notch and this book just gave me all the feels about them two and the other moms and the family.
SO HAPPY I GOT TO BINGE THE WHOLE SERIES. I definitely adored each moms, partners, and kids in this series!

Absolutely adored this series. I loved Delia’s story and I’m sad the series is over. The found family in this is exceptional. I loved the humor, the romance, the spice. This series was such a cozy enjoyable time and I highly recommend to anyone who wants to read a good book.
