This book was exactly what it says. A guide for faculty and staff and heavily focused on power, persuasion, and politics in institutions. I spent a lot of time connecting theories, practice, and annotations across my work with this as a tool.
I only have (2) quips with the book: - There are a number of errors in spelling, syntax, etc. throughout the text. To be expected when publishing a book, but they were glaringly obvious while reading. - I wish there had been more empirical examples from student affairs work directly. Plenty of hypothetical examples, some examples of power, but mainly focused on higher ed broadly.
