Rate this book
Series: The Endurers, Book 4
The most explosive book in this series...
Once upon a time, the world was just a black void. Then one day man came, but he wasn't alone. He was followed by an ancient evil, a scourge determined to steal his soul. Centuries passed. Humanity did all it could to protect itself against the evil ones, but they weren't equipped to fight this battle. Instead, all they could do was pray that Hell didn't set its eyes upon them.

It got to be too much. Something had to be done.

Born out of desperate need, warriors were chosen. Immortality was granted to those strong enough to fight the battle that would never end. No longer mortal, these men have stood in the path of dark and horrifying evil, bearing the load when there was nobody else that could.

It's all coming to an end. Time has ran out for humanity...

No good deed goes unpunished...

Ian Bauer was the Endurer that had it all. With great looks and plenty of money, he had never regretted his immortality... But fate had other plans for him.

Reeling from a tragic event, he's forced back into the fight between good and evil when demons set their sights on an mortal angel. He has to keep her alive for four weeks, something easier said than done.

Ian never counted on the wicked attraction that flares up between them.

I've often been asked how I'm inspired to write about werewolves, immortals, and zombies. The answer is easy. I adore them.

Be it the Wolf Town Guardians or the Endurers, these characters have been a joy to write about.

Voluptuous Vindication is probably the best in the series so far. There was so much depth and extra story being weaved through the book it definitely took it to the next level. A lot of time is spent on developing Ian as a character, and showing the changes this man is going through because of being alive so long, and having to witness true evil. Usually, Ian is depicted as the lighthearted ladies man, he's normally the comic relief. However, in this story he's much darker, he doesn't want to do anything anymore which turns him into an @ss. Unfortunately for Ian he has to quickly snap back to himself or risk losing his soul mate. I wasn't too fond of the heroine, she was a bit too goody-goody, but she's also an angel so she's gotta be;). I really enjoyed the story overall, I especially liked that we got a lot more of Arch appearing, and an introduction of a new endurer.

This is 18+ plus, I'd recommend. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Favorite Lines “I miss the old days. Back then, men were warriors and use to hard work. Most of you were deeply traditional, raised with a strong work ethic and a deep sense of right and wrong. This generation simply doesn't have that. The men are weak. Out of thousands of them, there might be one with Endurer potential.”

“Sometimes, I wonder what we're fighting for,” he bit out. “We fight, we win, and then what? Another thousand years to watch humanity destroy themselves again? Hurt, curse, and try to control one another, while screwing each other over and welcoming Hell with open arms? I'm going to tell you the truth, Arch. I don't know if I have it in me.”

“His days of shame were over. No longer would he hold onto a burden that wasn't his to bear.”

“I love you, Ian. No matter what happens, never forget that. You're a wonderful man with a wonderful heart. Pay it forward. This world needs you. You're strong, the most incredible man I've ever known. They tried to break you, but they couldn't. Just know that I loved you, and I loved you well. Thank you for showing me what that meant.”

“You see, Sara, our love goes far beyond a simple lust. It's soul deep, a connection between you and I that can never be broken. It's been approved by Heaven itself, and He doesn't answer a prayer just to take it away. And that's what you are to me. An answered prayer.”

Every book in this series gets better and better! It also makes me sad to think about how true some of things this authors says truly are! If Armageddon came would we as a people act this way and give our soul over for connivence? I would love to say it wouldn't happen like that but, reading some of these situations makes me worried! This author makes brings up so many questions while writing these amazing stories! The love that's found in each one during these desperate times really is spectacular!
I am dying to know what could happen next!!
Ian has always been one of my favorites and after book 3 I was so so worried that The Endurers had lost him. He was broken, lost, and alone! The author really does show you that love can save it all!
Bravo! Amazing book, series, story, and gorgeous characters! Love it love it want more more now!

>Review – Voluptuous Vindication -

>I received this from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. I am an independent reviewer. This is the fourth book in the Endurers Series and ends in an HEA for the 2 main characters, but not for the series.

>The book's setting is very dark. Demons have all but destroyed humanity. The end times aren't just near, they are happening. A group from Heaven, called Endurers are working hard to battle evil and save as many humans as possible. Endurer Ian has a job to protect an angel with her own agenda, Sara. There is a definite attraction and unforeseen consequences based on their attraction. The romance is not the most romantic, at first. Ian is a one and done kinda guy and no matter how a one night stand is written, it is never romantic. As they fall in love, the romance changes into something less erotic and more beautiful.

>The book has a lot of themes running through it. There are religious themes, of course. God plays a huge role, as he is the leader of the force of good. The eye opener is that humans have caused this evil free reign through their own free will. Another theme is that of redemption. I only read this book, but a terrible event occurred in a previous book that affected Ian. The reader learns of it when he confesses to Sara. Her love and actions help heal Ian. He is made to see his actions as unselfish and heroic, instead of debasing and helpless. There is also a theme of hopefulness. No matter what is happening, God is willing and able to help.

>The fact that Sara is a large woman is mentioned a lot. I think the author was going for a theme of beauty is in the eye of the beholder or beauty only being skin deep. I felt her weight was mentioned a bit too much. If her weight truly didn't matter, mention it once a let it go. The interaction between the Endurers was fun to read. They bantered like brothers and the humor was needed as a release in the doom and gloom of the story's reality.

>This book is recommended for an adult (18+) audience.

I freaking loved this book! I was longer than any of the others. I laughed in this book more than any of the others. I also cried a couple times. Banter between the guys was just priceless. Also, Arch being an angel he's got a twisted sense of humor! LOL. I really liked Sara. She was pure and good and heck...she was an angel. A good one too. Selfless and beautiful and makes so many sacrifices. Ian is a total dick to her at first. I mean to himself he wanted her more than anything but he didnt want anything to do with her either. He still has issues. Did for awhile. He set out to seduce her though not knowing he isn't supposed to have sex with an Angel because its a death sentence for her in a way. She didnt tell him that though which its both their faults. She was a virgin to boot. Which he even thought that to himself but maybe on some level he didnt "know'? So when he had sex with her he was angry with her for not telling him? Ugh oh Ian! They are constantly on the run because a bounty is on her. Dude the nudest colony was the BEST! She was utterly shocked and he did it on purpose! LOL. She rose to the bait beautifully. Oh...and the car ride with the helicopters and cameras on them while she was giving him road head was just freaking awesome and so damn embarrassing to her! I felt for her I really did! All in all she healed Ian. He was devastated when she had to leave earth. He was once again broken...but on a lighter note he did get those nasty bastards who forced him to do that deed in book 3. Uck. He gets his HEA though and she is sent back to him as a mortal but immortal because shes his soul mate. I wont say why she was sent back. You gotta read that for yourself! LOL. I can't wait to read more. I gotta know more about Arch I want a story for him. He's just awesome and funny. Holds a huge burden on his shoulders. Its not easy for him.

So finally we get to Ian’s story! I have been waiting for this book since Rubenesque Rapture, and it is even better than I could have imagined!
So after the devastating events that happened in Delicate Devastation, where he protected Kim’s soul; Ian has struggled to deal with what happened. So he left New Orleans, heading back to Las Vegas, gone was his happy go lucky charm and what was left was this hard as nails shell of a man.
As normal; Arch arrived on the scene when Ian really wants to be left alone and assigns him to protect this virtuous women, whose presence on earth can change the world.
Sara knows her life on earth is coming to an end, but she puts her life and faith into trusting Ian to keep her safe. Ian’s behavior is awful in the beginning, attacking everyone and everything. But after a while he realizes that Sara is his salvation, but just as he finds her, her time begins to run out.
This book is mind blowing! So, so good that I couldn’t put it down, and trust me 4 hours of sleep just isn’t good. This book gives a natural end to The Endurers Series, I was hoping for a love interest for Arch, but after reading Ian and Sara’s story, I just think that it would spoil the series.
The writing is amazing and smooth. I don’t think that this book could be read as a standalone, there is just too much back story in the other books that you would just miss too much of the story.
I give Voluptuous Vindication a very well deserved 10 out of 10.

MY VIEW

I haven't read any other books in this series but I did enjoy this one. One of the parts I believe any reader will enjoy is the immortal, strong, hunks of men that fall for the buxom women. One of the characters, Ian was such an obnoxious, self centered a--. I just wanted to take him and shake him to wake up. As time went on, you couldn't help but fall in love with him. The author put in a hot, steamy romance between Ian and Sara was star bursting. Sara was an angel and I felt for her. She had issues about the way she looked. She had low self-esteem. I found myself going through a lot of emotions while reading this book. I felt anger, I smiled, laughed and a time or two there was a little moisture in my eyes. Once you start turning the pages, you will find you can't put the book down. When it ended, I wanted more. To me that is the sign of a good book, when the reader wants more.

I would recommend this book to everyone. It is a good read and a keeper. So go out and grab a copy and follow Ian and Sara and find out what is on that next page. You won't regret it.

I was given a complimentary copy of VOLUPTUOUS VINDICATION by Rose Wynters from Buy The Book Tours for my view. No other compensation took place.

"Voluptuous Vindication" by Rose Wynters. Ian, an Immortal Endurer, is tasked with protecting Sara, a shy, innocent Angel. Ian is arrogant and obnoxious and wasn't a favorite...at first. As he falls hard for the voluptuous Sara, my opinion of him changes, for the better. Sara only wants to help others but cannot fight the attraction either. I enjoyed reading of their love developing and truly felt for both - at times my heart breaking for them. There are some lighter moments throughout the book when the Endurers tease and joke with each other which lightens the heaviness of the whole End of the World thing happening! There is reference to the Bible and praying to God but it certainly wasn't pushed or over excessive, in my opinion. I would have liked to have seen a bit more action with the demons and the threat on Sara's life - not just Ian's rejects being mean to her. Overall, I enjoyed this one - it does have some fun moments, love and a bit of romance too, and certainly some action packed fight scenes. If you enjoy paranormal, I would recommend this one. Oh, I haven't read any other in the series but, to me, it didn't make a difference to read and enjoy this one. (received copy for honest review)

*received for free through Goodreads First Reads

A paranormal romance with apocalyptic premise and angel vs. demon elements. I felt that the story was well written and had a pretty solid plot. The characters were engaging - to the point where they were starting to make me angry like they were real people that I could yell at (especially Ian, who was arrogant and selfish but still made me like him). I did get turned off at times when things like the Bible or Sara's self-consciousness about her weight were over-exaggerated and I didn't like Ian's dirty talk during the sex scenes. Otherwise this was an enjoyable story.

What to say about this book? I liked it. I didn't know if there was any more books before since I read this for the blog but I liked it and was curious about the other books.

I liked the action and the romance but I think he had way too much ladies.
