I devoured this book. The begins after an undisclosed amount of time after the first book. I love the fmc and the wild journey she took me on. I did not see that ending coming but loved it. Definitely a duet that I will be purchasing the physical books to have on hand when in a reading slump. Can’t wait to see what else this author publishes.

A Satisfying Ending
This dark duet was a maze of twists and turns that left me dizzy at some points and itching for more at others. Dark Vengeance picks up an undetermined amount of time after the ending of the first book. Lana is back and ready for revenge on the men she’d come to love and ultimately walked away from after learning of their ultimate betrayal. What she didn’t know, was that someone else was watching from the shadows, waiting until she was ready to make her move. And they were all too willing to help her.
In regards to overall plot execution, I feel this one was definitely more put together than the first, more cohesive if not occasionally repetitive in particular scenes. Regarding the spice factor, Dark Vengeance is way ahead of Dark Temptation despite only a singular love interest versus three.
It was good to see the concepts that were being built in the first book come into bloom in this book. Hoyle is an author to keep eyes on.

Ah Stephanie. You’re well and truly living in my head and I’m here for it.
We continue with Lana and this time, Giovanni wants vengeance.
Those boys she almost fell for don’t know what’s coming for them when they think they’re untouchable.
This time it’s a tale of FMC and MMC and what their love for each means for the rest of the story.
Stephanie has this magical ability to be able to drag you into the story and have you feel you’re walking behind the characters during a scene. She’s just that good.
I can’t wait to read more from Stephanie!

Dark Vengeance is a mafia romance full of twists and vengeance. Lana has been lied to and betrayed by the men who murdered her mother. Alex, Nathan, and Dominic all lied and manipulated Lana into believing that they loved her and wanted to help her find out who did it knowing all along that they were the ones that did it. All Lana wants now is vengeance.
Giovanni is Dominic's brother who has also had to suffer because of the lies and deception of those three men. Because of them, his life has been torn apart. Giovanni and Lana form an alliance and decide to go after them together. I love the way this story came together at the end.

This is one of those cases when the second book IS BETTER!
I couldn’t stop reading! I loved the action on this one. To see the men finally get what is coming to them from a woman they underestimated was top tier! Stephanie Hoyle drew me and kept me there. If you have not read this duet from her, what are you waiting for!! I will forever be a fan and I can’t wait to see what else she puts out for us readers! This is book 2 in her mafia duet so read Dark Temptation first. But seriously, read it!!!

I liked this one more than the first novella. After everything that happened between the two sons and the father, she hid away from them and didn't anything to do with their life. She meets Giovanni, which she finds out is related to the one's who betrayed her. But he wants them gone too. Their chemistry was off the charts! I loved the ending, it was very sweet.

So I loved how this one went on to one of her best friends Lana, and to know her story and her past, from who she was hiding from and how she became the woman she is today.
She was hiding the truth from her best friends as she was thinking they might make judgements of her but in the end it was not what she was expecting of her best friends.

I couldn’t wait for this one to be released with the way the first book ended. It was good revenge read which made you think and question what’s going to happen. Both books were good reads so if you’re looking for a short read this is it.
