MY GRUMPY BILLIONAIRE SOCCER STAR is the third book in the HOT Firefighters and Sports Stars series by Kathy Asher. There is an adrenaline rush with all the sports action along with vivid descriptions.
This is Vaughn and Rachel’s story. He’s the soccer star and she’s his secretary but seems to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are like water and oil except in their steamy moments, which there were way too many of considering he was her boss, but she doesn’t seem to do a good job communicating about things that affect him. He does a lot of yelling and sarcasm.
There are multiple storylines but the pacing was sometimes off and it was distracting especially since it left loose ends. I often turned back a page or two to make sure I didn’t miss something. There was some closure with the epilogue and a happily ever after but it came about too fast and there were a few too many storylines not wrapped up.

This office romance is a sizzling read. Rachel is Vaughn's secretary and the chemistry between them is fiery. It all comes to a head with one uncontrollable argument that leads to a heated kiss and so much more. Lines have been crossed, and hearts are in the battle. Will Vaughn and Rachel's explosive kiss lead them to something more.

Tough book to read
I am a real fan of Kathy Asher's books. This one was very tough to read as the Vaughn character was so extremely unlikeable and mean spirited for the first 150 pages of the book. Why Rachael tolerated his abusive treatment was unbelievable.
Because I enjoyed her prior books, I continued reading the book, and the last 100 pages were good. But what happened to Archie at the end?

Professional Tension
Rachel and Vaughn have a one-time tryst that seems almost forgotten when they return to work. The connection between these two characters was hot and steamy, with a tension so heated that their professional relationship began to suffer. This blended into an interesting story full of dramatic moments that were enjoyable to read.

Kathy packed us lots of steam, and sizzling chemistry when she wrote this book about Vaughn the grumpy but irresistibly HOT soccer star and Rachel his secretary who fell extremely head over heels for him. Holy Smokes the sex scenes are on FIRE and when you begin to read this romance book, you're going to be falling head over heels in LOVE just reading it.

I enjoyed my grumpy billionaire soccer star which was Vaughn and Rachel’s story. It was a bit confusing in parts but was still a steamy, entertaining read. The characters had sparking chemistry. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving this review.

This book is full of so much chemistry and drama. This story is so addicting and fun to read. Rachel and Vaughn's characters are well written and grow throughout the story. Rachel stands up to Vaughn and he realizes what a jerk he has been and his true feelings. This book has just the right amount of drama and romance and I highly recommend.
