𝐂A𝐓C𝐇I𝐍G P𝐑E𝐓T𝐘 Is the second full length dark romance, psychological thriller in the (Lovely Broken Doll) series by new to me author Sienna Blake.
So I started this last night and my jaw literally dropped to the floor, this pickups right where the previous book left off. A few chapters in and F💣💣's were flying out of my mouth uncontrollably.
WTF WTF WTF!! Oh come on because WTF is this shit!!
We're introduced to 'THE WARDEN' and all that's screaming in my mind is he better be a fucking twin because you can't make this shit up, well you can if your an author but hey you get my meaning. Because that plot twist twisted me up so bad but in a good bad because I NEVER saw that shit coming!!
To say this was more twisted and f#cked up than the first book is an understatement, this gave me whiplash, there I was in the first book kind of gravitating towards her stalker the shadow to do a one sixty jump, as I questioned my sanity, because even though I didn't want to, I felt this pull towards 'The warden' too..The bully vs the protector. It all just made up a jumbled ball of confusion.
But that's what I enjoyed about this book/series so far, you never know what's coming at you next, both men are questionable, neither walk the straight and narrow.
This also ends on a cliffy, but the next book isn't too far away.

Wow. Just wow. Hunting pretty was one of the best books I have read in the past year and it ended on a cliffhanger so of course I have been chomping at the bit for this book. I didn’t think Sienna could top the first book in this trilogy, yet somehow she did. This book was a complete dark romance thriller masterpiece. It made me emotional, it made me gasp, I lost sleep because one more page turned into one more chapter. The banter, the plot development and character arcs, the twists, the spice.. all of it was complete perfection. Sienna is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I will probably read everything she ever writes. This book…. I don’t even know how to review it without spoilers and wish I could rate it more than five stars. So many times I thought I knew what was coming, I was wrong every single time. At the end of this book Sienna once again kicked me off a cliff without a parachute. I cannot believe I’m once again staring at a wall, unable to find a new book to start that I think will captivate me like this one did, and feeling completely feral for the next book.
Excellent story, excellent writing. I really need answers and resolution.
I think I may have annotated this book more than anything else I’ve ever read but here are a few of my favorite spoiler free quotes from the warden, the shadow, and Ava:
“I’m going to wash you clean of him,” I said as I pulled my fingers out and gently slid them back in. “Every inch of your skin, every cell of your body. I’m going to cleanse you.”
I loved her, but in this moment, I wanted to destroy her.
“Torture is such a vile word,” he whispered, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear with a gentleness that made my stomach churn. “I prefer… therapy.”
Her hands were salvation and damnation all the same.
I tasted salt as a tear, then another rolled from her lashes and caught between our mouths, cleansing me. Baptizing me anew. Reborn.
“Pretty doesn’t even begin to describe you,” he said quietly, the sincerity in his voice catching me off guard. “If the flowers in the garden saw you, they’d wither out of jealousy and bow their heads in shame."

Sienna Blake, you did it again!!! I was on edge reading this. I thought I knew some things going in but turns out I didn’t know a damn thing. It was twisted, psychological turmoil, intense, and oh so delicious. And holy smokes that cliffhanger yet again girl! You’re playing with my emotions.

Ive been counting down the days until I could finally read book two. The dang opening had me kicking my feet Sienna, I sat real quick & yes girl, we all did.

Woah woah woah nooooo, chapter 4 -
I was not expecting the warden to really be who it was and my heart tore in two knowing the only two ways it was possible. Well oh shit, the end of chapter 14 had my mind blowing and me screaming things. I wasn't expecting that ( but I should have as i just finished another book with something similar but I didn't put it all together for this book)

After THAT cliffhanger in book 1, this installment could not land fast enough in my kindle.
Book 1 lent itself to being a psychological thriller on a league of its own.
I didn’t think this author could get any more wicked and twisted in her story telling than what she did in book 1. She created these intriguing characters and a story I found myself invested in and let me say that this book has me totally hooked in discovering what is going to happen.
Ohh let me say, book 1 was just the appetizer. This author blew me away with the direction this installment took!
First and foremost, check your triggers because this read is unapologetic in thrusting triggers that fit the story, and made it more compelling.
Fast paced, dark, and exciting NOTHING is what it appears and NO ONE is who you think they are.
This author took me on a heart wrenching, emotional journey that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Just when I thought I knew what direction the story was taking BAM, the author threw a twist I never imagined!
Of course the end is another jaw dropping cliffhanger that left me stunned!

Wow, wow, wow! This book is 100% amazing! Ava, The Warden and The Shadow, all take you on one heck of a ride.
This book picks right up where book 1 left off. You do get to find out who took Ava, and find out some of the memories she blocked out from when she was younger. The details in the story and the way it's written make this book a psychological thriller, with spice, sadness and another cliffhanger!
Be sure to check out the trigger warnings, cuz this book gets dark and super intense. Book 3 can't come soon enough!!!!

Wow, just wow! What a way to end book 2 - can't believe we have to wait for book 3 to find out their fates!
Sienna you have smashed it again!
Catching Pretty has got so many twists and turns that when you think you know what's going on you really don't.
Its a really special book when the characters are built so well that you end up loving and feeling emotionally connected to people you should really hate, but that's what this book does, absolutely beautifully done.
Definitely take a look at the trigger warnings, this book is not messing about.
I absolutely loved Catching Pretty and cannot wait for Claiming Pretty to be released!

HOLY HECK WHAT A WILD RIDE!!!
from the cliff hanger at the end of hunting pretty, we jump right back into the captivating story with all the twists and turns. Let me just say the twist around 30% left me with my jaw dropped!! it took me a solid 20 minutes to wrap my head around that, to be honest I didn't even see it coming. After book 1, hunting pretty, I had a hunch, but let me tell you Sienna did amazing with keeping you on the edge of your seat and keeping the mystery and suspense fully alive. I was sucked right in I could not set the book down. This book is very dark, just like what we dark romance lovers like, CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS! do not come on here leaving poor reviews and whining because you didn't take the triggers seriously or skipped them entirely. This book is hands down amazing, and yes the triggers are there for a reason.
I freaking loved this book and I absolutely loved Hunting pretty. Both are in my top fav reads, the wait for book 3, claiming pretty will be torturous. AND THAT CLIFF HANGER AT THE END OF CATCHING PRETTY WILL BE SEARED INTO MY MIND UNTIL I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS.

That cliffhanger!!!
I dont think i have the restraint to wait for the audio of book 3 - Claiming Pretty is screaming at me from my bookcase!
Book 2 of the Lovely Broken doll series has left me reeling and with an extremely sore neck from the whiplash of this journey.
this book had me questioning everything .. completely mind-fxking .. just when i thought i had it sussed, Sienna threw me another curveball!
Theo and Madi deliver another captivating narration of this thrilling story, packed with mystery suspense and tension. I loved Theo's performance in book 1, but in this book, he upped the ante. The complexity of emotions were spot on and made all the more enjoyable by Theo's narration.
Madi's portrayal of Ava is beautiful. The inner turmoil that Ava experiences is enhanced by Madi's intense emotional connection to the character she's giving voice to. It's truly captivating. You feel what the fmc is feeling - no question.
The suspense in this book is off the charts and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Picking up where book 1 left you, we learn more and more and connect with ava's captor, "The Warden" all whilst Scáth is frantically trying to find leads on who has her and where.
The Warden's mission is to make Ava stronger, to unlock her suppressed memories, and to encourage her to become stronger both mentally and physically. His 'therapy' sessions are a little unorthodox 🤣 but honestly, I loved every second.
I love the deep psychological effect this book has.
For me, it's completely unpredictable, which is so enjoyable and refreshing.
Book 2 dives deep into Stockhølm syndrome, and inteNSe inner turmoil. Secrets are revealed throughout - pay attention 🤣

Book 2 of the Lovely Broken doll series has left me reeling and with an extremely sore neck from the whiplash of this journey.
this book had me questioning everything .. completely mind-fxking .. just when i thought i had it sussed, Sienna threw me another curveball!
Theo and Madi deliver another captivating narration of this thrilling story, packed with mystery suspense and tension. I loved Theo's performance in book 1, but in this book, he upped the ante. The complexity of emotions were spot on and made all the more enjoyable by Theo's narration.
Madi's portrayal of Ava is beautiful. The inner turmoil that Ava experiences is enhanced by Madi's intense emotional connection to the character she's giving voice to. It's truly captivating. You feel what the fmc is feeling - no question.
The suspense in this book is off the charts and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Picking up where book 1 left you, we learn more and more and connect with ava's captor, "The Warden" all whilst Scáth is frantically trying to find leads on who has her and where.
The Warden's mission is to make Ava stronger, to unlock her suppressed memories, and to encourage her to become stronger both mentally and physically. His 'therapy' sessions are a little unorthodox 🤣 but honestly, I loved every second.
I love the deep psychological effect this book has.
For me, it's completely unpredictable, which is so enjoyable and refreshing.
Book 2 dives deep into Stockhølm syndrome, and inteNSe inner turmoil. Secrets are revealed throughout - pay attention 🤣

GOD WTF!
That’s all I can say like this one was such a psychological dark romance mind fuck compared to the first one. Oh and the Stockholm syndrome was in full effect, but seeing as we realize who it is I’m not mad at it. The Warden and the shadow.
So many truths have come to light and yet I still have so many questions lol. I can definitely understand now why this series is long, but I have yet to get bored and I love it.

What in the actual 👀!!!! One word … intense!!! This one takes you on one hell of a ride. It picks up right where it left off!! And sticks to the story base. The strong female character Ava our poor girl I got into this read she so strong and witty and smart I love her. And for the warden cringe. And her shadow man 🥺 no spoilers!! Trying soo hard ok….. love /hate , step siblings, dark secrets, pleas read the trigger warning before reading your metal heath is impotent ❤️ but let me tell you what 🔥🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️ it will leave you with one hell of a cliffhanger that’s got your blood running cold for our little broken doll!!

Book 2 in the Lovely Broken Doll Series had me GRIPPED! Note, you must read book 1, Hunting Pretty, first.
The first 25% had me on my toes wondering WTH is happening. I was on the same line of thought with the FMC (Ava) when she woke up finding herself taken and locked away by her stepbrother. Who up to this point in book 1, had been her protector. But whoa, plot twist! I love reads that surprise me!!!!
This second installment centers around Ava being kidnapped by her step brother, under the guise of forcing her to do therapy. He wants to cleanse her and help her move on from her past. His ways are Diiiiirrrrrrtyyyyyy! See trigger warnings for a little more context of what to expect.
I'm so ready for book 3 the conclusion of Ava's story! Friends, if you are in to dark romance with taboo themes and a gripping plot. Don't sit on this series. Add to your library asap!!

The mind games poor Ava experiences in this book are nothing short of spectacular. Like, honestly, how the author comes up with this is just …wow!
We learn more about her life before her memory loss and who Scath is… I don’t want to give anything away. But I will say this, the writing - chef’s kiss.
Character development- so deep! We really get into their minds and learn more about what gets under their skin.
The suspense will have you on edge.
The spice is SPICEY… please check TW as it’s heavy in the Dub-Con and Non-Con-Con as well as other triggers.
You have to read book 1 before reading this book. It is NOT a standalone.

Well, holy hell! This series just keeps getting better. I couldn't put this book down!
This book had so many twists and turns i almost got whiplash (in a good way). Just when I thought i had something figured out, nope, Sienna took me in a completely different direction. AND I WAS THERE FOR EACH AND EVERY TURN!!! I loved how dark this one got. I think it actually contributed to a nightmare I had, lol. But damn! I just loved it all.
Since I don't put any spoilers in my reviews, all I can say is if you want something super dark and twisted, you need to read this book! Absolutely phenomenal, Sienna. Man, to have been inside your head while you were writing this.... you killed it! 5 ⭐️'s just isn't enough!

Holy smokes this was beyond amazing, I could not get enough. The secrets, betrayals, the trauma, emotions through out the whole thing between Ava, the Warden, and the shadow just had me in a chokehold. I loved every second of this book and loved how it gave us answers to some serious questions. The way it was written was so emotional and really had me feel everything going on. I like how in depth it goes into pasts, you get big omg moments, and cliffhangers. That cliffhanger had me screaming and demanding I know how everything ends, it’s torture not knowing. I’d highly recommend reading your triggers before reading. I’d also suggest reading this yourself as it was so good I couldn’t put it down

The story picks up right away, not giving you a dull moment. If anything, I found myself bracing my hands on the counter for all the tea that was told.or it could have been for all the spice. Either way, this is worth a listen.
@theo_and_madi did another amazing job bringing these characters alive. I'm pretty sure I'll listen to anything they narrate at this point.

SIENNNA THIS CLIF HANGER IS TO MUCHHH!! 😭

I know this took me forever to read but everytime I picked it up, it had me at the edge of my seat.
Now to add The Warden into the mix, just adding way more suspense to the already dynamic with Ava and The Shadow.
I will say this book overtops the first one - Hunting Pretty. Now don’t get me wrong, The Shadow played an important role of learning the story line. But The Warden exposed every little detail and just took it to another level. Learning more of the past for Ava and her experience with some “therapy” but also learning more about The Warden and The Shadow.
Let’s not even forget but the spicy was far more intense and intriguing. 🤭

IT’S A FUCKING TRILOGY??????????
My problems:
- it’s undisclosed reverse haram
- it becoming a love triangle thing should’ve been disclosed because some people (ahem me) don’t like that
- this girl gets sexually assaulted so much, her therapist turned out to be a creep, how is she mentally okay? (like how does she have the mental capacity to be anything, for example, that stupid)
- this did not need to be three books. Why wasn’t it disclosed in the blurb of the first book that this was not a standalone???? I was so upset finding out it’s a duet, to find out it’s a fucking trilogy? IT DIDN’T NEED TO BE A FUCKING TRILOGY
- ava needs to get her vag checked. How it constantly be leaking?
- the plot of these two books so far is giving me major whiplash
- the blurb of the first book does not set up the plot of this series at all. I feel scammed
- how is her nipples always getting so hard. Girl needs to get checked everywhere stat

Unable to put this book down....
As soon as I started to read book 2 of the Lovely Broken Doll series, I was unable to stop. Sienna Blake's writing is almost lyrical, and I love her style of storytelling. This series is the first time I truly read a "Dark" romance, and it was everything I didn't know I needed.
The suspense, the obsession, the "how the heck did this sick crap just get me in the mood"... I am a fan and have officially turned to the dark side! Can't wait for book 3!

After hunting pretty I was so excited to jump right into this book! I absolutely loved the second book in this series! I was shocked with a few twists in the book and one that I definitely did not see coming! I really enjoyed the story line and where it went. Look out shadow because the warden has joined the party and he is hot! The spice was amazing and the character development was outstanding! I am now going to try and wait patiently for the 3rd book but after that cliffhanger it will be hard!

I loved all the twists and turns, learning who the warden is and discovering more about Ava’s past through her memories, both haunting, heart breaking and sweet.
I could not decide who I was rooting for! Ty or Ciaran? Warden or Shadow? Or both?
Sienna really captures the desperate need for freedom but also the guilt that’s holding Ava back. The tug of war in her heart is palpable and I have no idea which way it will end.

I don’t even want to imply what happened in this book because I hate spoilers but the dark and twisted vibe that all of the characters possess is so refreshing. In dark romance books you will usually have a few twisted characters and then their compartments wouldn’t be as tortured and they sort of get looped it unannounced but all of the characters are complex and interesting and you have this crazy empathy for everyone involved.

Oh my gooood THE CLIFFHANGER! I was just screaming NO NO NO! I am begging in my mind here. Please please please no no no. I need to know what happens. This made me stressed. But also the story was rewarding almost. Filled in so many questions I had. And now I need it resolved I feel on edge I loved this story. I signed up for this book as an ARC reader after reading Hunting Pretty. Just like the first one, It ends in a cliffhanger! The 3rd book can't come fast enough!! I am fully invested in this series and have found that I've already picked sides between the MMCs. Although I find myself teetering with my choice, just like the MFC does. This book sucks you in and leaves you wanting more.
