Quincy Rogers has a good woman right in front of him but he can't see the forest for the trees. Instead of embracing the one who loves him, he chases tail on a brand new dating app, A Dime A Dozen.
Quincy needs to see if the grass might be greener on the other side. He figures the woman he has will give him another chance and he'll do the right thing later.
Unfortunately, Quincy will soon learn that tomorrow isn't promised, and neither is the rest of today.
I must have slipped and bumped my head because I do not know why I thought I could get comfortable and read this ARC.
With Quincy and Carmen, I'm thinking oh they are going to have a nice interesting romance with a slight dash of Carmen having some get back. No. Tanisha Stewart ripped that image away from me! I should've known she would. Delete that dating app with quickness, Quincy. And stay to yourself because my guyyy.
If the phrase what goes around comes around was a person, it would be a ninja named Sheldon! Imagine having all you need right in front of you, but your immaturity & mind games cause to you loose almost everything, maybe even your life. And when you finally decide “it’s time” you have nothing to go back to. Well ladies, meet Quincy. Karma came back to bite him in the you know what in the WORST way possible. & all Quincy can do is pray for his redemption at the mercy of a madman.
Thank you to Tanisha Stewart for a chance to read and review an advanced reader copy! Thank you to the ladies of BWW for sharing your craft and bringing us the Dating App Horror Series!
Another great edition to The Dating App Horror series. I ate this up in one sitting. Karma is a bit*h. Quincy & Lia both had to find that out the hard way. You don’t mistreat the ones that love you the most because when that karma comes knocking it won’t be nothing nice.
Hey, hey, my favorites 😁💚. #annieethebookiee is back with another book review!

Whew, Quincy, Quincy, Quincy… what were you thinking?! Wish I Never Met Her by Tanisha Stewart is a cautionary tale wrapped in drama, suspense, and a whole lot of “boy, you played yourself.”
Quincy Rogers has a good woman, but instead of appreciating what’s in front of him, he’s out here chasing illusions on a dating app called A Dime A Dozen (which, honestly, should’ve been his first red flag). He’s convinced he can do what he wants and still have his real one waiting on him. But life? Life said, hold my drink. Quincy is about to learn the hard way that tomorrow isn’t promised—and neither is his spot in someone’s heart.
This book had me shaking my head, talking to the pages, and turning them at record speed. Tanisha Stewart knows how to bring the tension, and I was hooked from beginning to end. If you love stories with real-life consequences, drama that keeps you guessing, and a main character who needs to get his life together ASAP, this one’s for you!
Very suspenseful, a pager turner and full of twist! When a player get his karma twice fold and the horror he encounters! This was another amazing thriller!
I don’t feel bad for anyone in this story because they got what they deserved. Although I didn’t care for the MMC, he entertained me. The title cracked me up since I used to play the song on repeat. I’m happy with the ending .
Lawd this book definitely took a turn , Quincy deserved everything that happened besides the being kidnapped and tortured. You don’t miss treat the people who ride for you .
I was really excited for Wish I Never Met Her, and the beginning absolutely delivered. Quincy had me rolling my eyes early on — like, here’s a guy with someone good right in front of him, but nope… he’s swiping for more on a dating app, trying to see if the grass is greener on the other side and trying to sow his oats elsewhere. If you know, you know. That setup gave me all the dramatic tension I wanted, and I was ready for wild chaos.
There were parts I genuinely enjoyed — especially watching karma come for Quincy and seeing how some characters who were overlooked got their moment. I liked that the story touched on how people who’ve been hurt can end up hurting others, and I appreciated some of the emotional depth woven in among the drama.
But… after the first major twist, things slowed down for me. The focus shifted more to Quincy’s friendships and less to the dating-app suspense I was expecting. It made the middle of the book feel kind of uneven, like the plot was wandering instead of building toward a satisfying payoff.
And speaking of endings — I wasn’t mad at it, but I was definitely hoping for something with a bit more punch. Given the tone of the rest of the series, I was expecting a twist that would really stick with me.
Still, the writing was easy to follow, the banter was fun, and I never struggled to get through it. Overall? It was just okay for me — good enough to keep reading, but not one I’d rave about.
3.5 - Thank you Tanisha Stewart and the ladies of BWW for this ARC.
This story was about a tale as old as time. Especially when it comes to people like Quincy. Karma always gets the last laugh because why wait until you’re down and out to see what was always in front of you. He had someone who had his back, could laugh with, loved all of him and could be himself with. A lot of people are not willing to wait forever while you play in their face. That’s all right though since karma made sure he met his perfect match on the app.
Now i did predict what happened with the young lady Quincy kept over looking. I loved that for her. However, i wanted more for the ending. I thought Quincy was going to put a bullet in someone due to the kind of book this is 😂. I’m not mad at it though. Still a good read.
Man, i never heard the saying! You can't see the forest for trees! But Quincy sure did find that out for himself!!!
My toxic side surely came out again!!! When i was cheering on him and Lia demise!! This book was good! Quincy had all the time in the world to change, nah! He wanna be a player! And play play play!! A smile made its way to my face when everything started going downhill for my boy!!! Lol, like i said imma little toxic. I blame it on my sign. LOL. That's all im going to say!" 5 star read from me!!!
P.s! Stay off them dating sites! Apparently, they mean you, NO GOOD AT POINT, MY FRIEND, LOL!!!!
Whew, this series is giving me everything that I need. The MMC was on my NERVES throughout this story. I could not wait for him to get the karma that he deserved tbh. The storyline was fast paced, engaging & relatable. A lot of the banter felt authentic. Some parts were predictable but the plot twists I couldn’t predict?! Captivating.
This series really makes you think about dating apps and relationship woes. But, most importantly, why you shouldn’t try to pull a fast one on a stranger.
This is easily one of my favorite mini series that I’ve read this year.
Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC reader. Now that we got that out the way here’s to the review!
Wait a damn minute! See the first book in this series came through swinging, book 2 popped completely off, but you see book 3 sky rocketed baby!!!!!! Tanisha my girl this was my first book by you and Chile let me ask you the same question I ask Octavia….is you cool? Cause ain’t no way!!!! Quincy….whew that damn Quincy! I don’t wanna spoil it but just know this Karma always spin the block!!!!! I loved every bit of it!
When I read the first paragraph, I knew from the jump that some craziness would be going on! 😂 Secondly, once I saw my name, Stewart when "AHHHHHHH shoot!" 😂😂😂 First novel I've read with my name as a character. 🤗☺️😑 I said that to say this: the ending was perfect, but the in-betweens? Saddle up, 'cause, baby, you're going on a wild ride. I enjoyed everything about this book. I highly recommend it so good download bit NEEEEOOOWWWW‼️Thank you for allowing me to get first dibs. Oh yeah, per Tanisha: "He didn't see the forest for the trees." 💪🏾✊🏾🙌🏾😍😘
Honored to be an ARC reader for the fabulous Tanisha Stewart, in this dating app horror series. Quincy’s karma bit him in the asss… took a big ol’ chunk out! He got what he deserved and more. Quincy needs to have several seats and never get up. I do want to know more about Lia… I need to see that to end. She was wild! Give her a novella. This whole series got a hold on me.
Whew, this was a wild ride! Quincy really thought he could play games without consequences, but karma had other plans. The drama, the choices, and the fallout kept me turning the pages. It’s fast-paced, entertaining, and a real reminder that some mistakes cost more than you expect. He learned the hard way. A great read!
⭐⭐⭐½
💕 Special thanks to the author for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
ARC Review-Karma came and its name was Sheldon. Quincy had everything he needed in Carmen, but of course he couldn’t see it. Quincy decides to go on a dating app where he met Lia. This was the biggest mistake of Quincy’s life. Everything that happened after he met Lia was his karma.
The book was different and good. It is part of a series, but you don’t have to read the other books first. I gave it a four because I was able to figure out parts of the plot before hand, but the book was really good.
ARC Review – Wish I Never Met Her by Tanisha Stewart🔥📖
Let me tell you about this WILD ride I just finished! 😳 I stay in the trenches of the thriller world, but this one? WHEW. 😮💨 I received an ARC of Wish I Never Met Her, and baybee, this book had me side-eyeing every dating app in existence. 👀💀
📲 The Setup: Meet Quincy—fine, cocky, and fully enjoying his “I’m not ready for a relationship” phase 😏. He’s living with Carmen, his day-one, the bestie he lowkey knows is wifey material… but he’s out here playing. 🎭 When he downloads A Dime A Dozen, a spicy new dating app 🔥, he’s just looking to add another name to his roster. Enter Lia—mysterious, confident, and way too good at playing the game. 🎲 What starts as a little fun quickly spirals into something Quincy was NOT ready for. 😵💫 As his situationship with Carmen unravels and Lia tightens her grip, Quincy realizes he swiped right on the WRONG one. 🚨 And babyyy, the wrong one ain’t playing fair. 🕵🏾♀️ Lies, obsession, and some real dark twists turn Quincy’s little player phase into a full-blown nightmare. 🔪
💀 The Vibes: This book is messy, sexy, and suspenseful in all the right ways. 😈 Quincy is that dude we all know—the one who wants to keep his options open until his option starts moving on. 🤡 Carmen is a real one, and I just wanted to shake her at times (girl, let that man GO! 🚩). And Lia? Let’s just say she’s different. 😈 Stewart’s writing is fast-paced, full of tension, and dripping with drama. 🎭🔥
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4/5 Stars I ATE this book UP! 😮💨👏🏾 A solid 4 stars from me. If you love toxic entanglements, shady pasts creeping up, and a little “this could really happen” fear factor, Wish I Never Met Her is calling your name. 📞🔪 Highly recommend. Don’t be surprised if you side-eye your own dating history after this one. 👀💀
Amazing Read. Fast Paced, Great Writing, Satisfying Ending
This was a great read with some resounding lessons: (1) appreciate what you have in front of you because you never know when it may be gone; (2) In life, its seldom that we can have our cake and eat it too and most importantly, (3) Madame Karma never misses; she may come late, but she will come back for you regardless.
I have to say that I enjoyed this read very much. It was well written with lots of shockers and some very unexpected funny moments. Quincy, the MMC, was a trip, and I was shocked to find myself empathizing with Sheldon (IYKYK).
The author did a great job in telling the story, taking time in the beginning chapters to develop the characters and their back story and then it was off to the races, with unimaginable and amazing twists and turns. So many times, I found myself in absolute shock at the revelations made throughout the story, making this a great thriller/horror romance read.
This was my first book from this author, and I really, really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to all lovers of romance, thriller, and horror.
Thank you, Tanisha Stewart, for the ARC of Wish I Never Met Her in exchange for my honest review.
Quincy thinks he is beyond reprieve. He’s been spared time after time. Things seem to work in his favor even when he doesn’t deserve it. When he makes the decision to download an infamous dating app, his luck takes a turn for the worse. Quincy finds himself in a precarious situation. He convinces himself that this will be the last time he engages in this type of behavior.
Don’t even get me started on Lia!! What was she thinking? To put herself in such a position. It’s a damn shame.
Also, why didn’t Quincy rely on his intuition. Every time he had an opportunity to step back and think about his decisions he couldn’t see how egregious he was being.
Quincy is unquestionably unlikable. His dynamic with Carmen and Rell displays his selflessness. He ignores every opportunity to do the right thing. I enjoyed that Quincy had to face the consequences for his actions lol. He definitely deserved it.
Have you ever read a book that made you wish the character(s) was real so you could thr0at pun(h them right quick? Yeah, I need to meet Quincy for just 10 minutes in the ring. Okay, okay, he was just not ready to settle down and that alone is certainly not a shocking characteristic. But when his day started unraveling, it did not stop. Getting on the dating app and thinking it just be some fun detached thrills was the beginning of his trouble. From there, the author takes us on a wild ride and you will think, okay enough, he's learned his lesson! But nope, he needed just a little bit more! Another great example of how you can never just trust strangers at face value. If Book III (and poor Abigail) of this series doesn't convince you to not talk to strangers, I don't know what will!!! Another must-read entry in the Dating App Horrors series, read them in order, catch your breath, keep going! Good job, Tanisha!
(Note: I am NOT the author of this book. I wrote Book IV in the series. I am reviewing the other books in the series as a reader.)
I’d recommend this book to everyone just so their mouth can hit the ground too. Mannnnn sis ticked me off. Q is a better than me cause she’s over there being quiet while he’s constantly being tortured. Girllllll I oughta bop you. He said let’s try to calm him down and she started going off on him. Like girl is you cool?
Q ignored every red flag and played and lost his woman. He knew he shouldn’t have met up with her. AND he’s a crappy bff. Him being the best man was petty lol keep your enemies close time vibe lol.
Sis don’t have her child, money, or lavish life anymore smh lol. They should’ve just divorced or went to counseling. I don’t get why Q got all the pain lol. She should’ve had something done to her… at least a shot in the leg lol a little flesh wound or something. I guess it’s because he loved his wife and couldn’t hurt her fr but sir smh!
Anywho this book is the true definition of cheaters never win. ✨
I bet they had a ball writing this book!! 😂😂

It’s one thing to hear people say, "You don’t know what you have until it’s gone," but it’s another to watch it unfold in front of you in real time—messy, heartbreaking, and way too real.
This book doesn’t sugarcoat the stupid mistakes people make. It doesn’t make excuses. It shows the way good intentions crumble under bad choices — and how quickly life can take away second chances.
Every page had that gut feeling like watching a slow wreck you can’t stop — and you don’t want to stop, because deep down, you already know the lesson is coming. Hard.
No fairy tales here. No easy forgiveness. Just real consequences, real regret, and a real reminder that not everything you lose comes back.
Fast-paced. Sharp. Brutal in the right ways. And it leaves you sitting there at the end, thinking about all the times you thought you had "later."
I can’t stand men like Quincy. Just because of his good looks, he thinks he can treat people any kind of way. He was unloyal and a backstabber. He got what he deserved and a little more.
Lia is just as grimy as Quincy, maybe even worse. She was too mature to be acting the way she was.
The real victim was Sheldon. I feel bad for him. Hurt people hurt people.
The story did turn out differently from what I was expecting, but part of the plot was predictable. Still a good read. It was suspenseful and fast-paced.
Karma always spins the block, so treat people the way you want to be treated. Stay off those dating apps because you never know what you can get yourself into.
Thank you Tanisha for this ARC copy, all thoughts are my own.
Whewww, this thriller had me hooked from start to finish! I love that it was a short, quick read, but baby, it packed a punch! Quincy? Oh, he worked my last nerve! The way he did Carmen and Rell so dirty had me side-eyeing the pages like, sir, are you for real?! One thing about karma, though—it always comes back around, and when it finally caught up with him? Oh, it was a beautiful disaster!
I love thriller books that get right to it. Keep me hooked, no bullshit, from start to finish. And this one? Delivered.
I mean, let’s talk about it—Carmen was out here cooking for this man, cleaning for him, doing his LAUNDRY, and letting him stay in her apartment, and what was Quincy doing? Chasing other women like he had no home training! The audacity! But let me tell you, this book will have you fully engrossed, flipping through the pages like your life depends on it, and by the end? You’ll be very satisfied.
Wish I Never Met Her drops February 12th, so if you’re looking to switch things up this Valentine’s Day, maybe add a little thriller to your TBR! Happy reading!
Thanks for the ARC copy of this book couldn't wait to dive into it.
A scrub is a guy who thinks he's fine and also known as a buster. Well that Buster's name is Quincy, and he has everything he could want in a woman right in his face by the name: Carmen. But he still wants to be a player and crush a lot. He's even shady towards his homeboy Rell who he slighted back in school, and now in the present by taking the girl that Rell was trying to holler at on the dating app Dime A Dozen, all whilst using Rell's whip (Mercedes Benz) to do it. Well Quincy don't know what he signed up for, and in the words of Carl Thomas and I wish I never met her at all. 5 out of 5 quick read, plot twists will have your mouth agape.
This book was definitely a good one! The reason for 4.5 ⭐️ is because I predicted the ending in a sense. I knew that Carmen and Rell were going to end up together, it just made sense! And it was going to happen rather or not Quincy survived.
I will say what I was shocked at tho was Lia’s “innocence”. I was sure Carmen and Lia were plotting together! Or maybe even Rell had set the whole thing up! So that was a good twist! Lia’s husband was definitely a looney tune! But the bitch definitely deserved her fate after playing with him so much! And oh did he get her back!! Now I don’t think Quincy deserved to be tortured the way he was by Lia’s husband… but what happened with Carmen, he ABSOLUTELY deserved!!! Overall great read!!!

Sis, why you do my boy Quincy like that! Lord… that lighter and that pop! Chile I almost hit the floor. Lia ain’t 💩. I mean, Quincy wasn’t an angel but dang.😩 I guess when Karma spin the block she come in ready to take it DOWN.
This was such a good read. I read it within a few hours. I was literally in here screaming at the dang book. My poor puppy just looking at me like, you okay?👀
Unpredictable , fast paced, unhinged, straight up crazy. You have a special way of making people HATE a song chile 🤦🏾♀️😂.

Whew chile!! Where do I start!! Quincy was everything I dislike in a man and I was happy to see him get his karma bwhahahaha!! Lia well she was the devil I mean straight evil and I really wish I was a fly on the wall when she was making her final plans and then saw those two envelopes!! I was laughing at her cause that’s what she gets!! And her hubby well he had smaller issues to worry about which is why he was so angry 🤣🤣🤣 I was so happy at the end but not for Quincy I’m glad he got what he got 🤣
