I love animals, and I expected this to be exactly the fun listen I was in need of. I was surprised to find it was just an okay experience.

The stories are quite short, maybe an average of 5 minutes each, depending on your choice of audiobook speed. It's a little like listening to a person you randomly meet tell you a quick, cute story. You'll probably smile for a moment, but there's not much substance involved. Few are memorable. Many are silly.

While the narration is fine, I think this book is better suited to a reading experience, rather than listening. It's a book I would pick up now and then, read a couple of the stories, then move on to something else. Listening for any length of time kind of grated on me, to be honest, because I couldn't settle into anything.

But that's just me. Others might love the audiobook experience.
