I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.
My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.
Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Dark forces
Danica and the gang are hired to protect a model in this book. There is a lot of magic warfare mixed with military weaponry and it works out well. The way the infomancer's computer forays are described as a world they set up to guard their secrets is always fun, I love the way there is everything from castles to business buildings. I really like this series and am looking forward to the next book.

Codename: Fashionista
I am really enjoying this series. The characters have been developed nicely. The story is interesting. Plenty of action; a good mixture of magic and physical. Nice suspense throughout with the story and wondering what Moriarty has planned. Looking forward to the next book. Recommended.

DNF. initially enjoyable but too much violence
Stopped reading at 13%. I enjoyed the first couple of books in the series but the escalating violence in each subsequent book overcame the storyline and by the time I got to the previous book in the series I was skipping multiple sets of pages of blow-by-blow fighting.

Very enjoyable read.
Yet another entertaining and enjoyable book within the Spellbound Security series.
Daniela and her team take on an assignment to protect a model, not knowing the culprit is closer than they realise. At the same time, other enemies come out to play.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
