What's That Sound? At The Circus

Rate this book
What does the circus sound like? Elephants THUNDER and THUMP, tigers ROAR, and a DRUM ROLLLLLL announces the flying trapeze. These board books serve a dual purpose for inquisitive little ones. Not only do they link noises to objects but they encourage the association of meaning to letters on a page - the first, crucial step for developing reading skills Author Sheryl McFarlane's rhythmic, read-aloud text is perfectly complemented by Kim LaFave's bright, colorful scenes. A glorious book with plenty of sounds for little noise makers everywhere.

I thought that the illustrations were extremely well drawn. The book is very bright and vibrant so its very warm and happy to read. The overall story is subpar although it is cute it lacks in a character/s to follow. The story itself would be perfect for a child from birth to age four.
