In a world poised on the brink of destruction:

The search for belonging can lead to unexpected alliances…and a place to truly call home.

Abra Arundel has always felt like an outsider, her lazy eye a constant reminder of her differences in a town that values conformity above all. When the only family she has left—her mother—suddenly dies, Abra is thrust into a whirlwind of grief and uncertainty.

But amid the sorrow, a letter arrives from a man she never knew:

Her father.

Driven by a desperate need for connection, she sets off on a perilous journey to uncover the truth of her lineage. Fate intertwines her path with that of Saya, a cunning smuggler who operates on the fringes of society.

With his sharp wit and roguish charm, he offers her the companionship she so desperately needs, though his motives are far from altruistic. As their journey unfolds, a dangerous chemistry ignites between them, complicating their mission and challenging everything Abra thought she knew about love and loyalty.

But with war looming on the horizon, the stakes are higher than ever.

As Abra inches closer to the truth about her father, a dark revelation shakes her world to its core: he is dead, leaving her with more questions than answers. With Saya by her side and the threat of the Rubiconds looming ever closer, Abra must confront not only the demons of her past but also the looming chaos threatening her homeland.

In this riveting tale of self-discovery and romance, Abra learns that to save a nation, she must first reconcile with her own identity. With courage as her armor and love as her compass, she will redefine what it means to be a hero—even if it means embracing her role as a rogue. As alliances form and betrayals unfold, Abra must navigate a treacherous landscape of passion and peril, proving that even the most unlikely souls can change fate.

The saga continues in Rogue!

Having lived all her life in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, author Bree M. Lewandowski incorporates all aspects of her life in her writing. A ballet dancer at a young age, continuing to teach ballet through her career as an author, she often turns to the tumultuous world of dance to find threads of a story. In love with classical literature, her writing not only pays homage to the style of writers like Dumas and Hugo, she also believes in creating main characters who are larger than life. Yet, struggles with body image, mental and emotional health, and the strained relationships so many have also play in and out of Lewandowski's writing. In the end, all these attributes combined, she loves to tell a love story.

I love this series. I was sooo happy she decided to make it into a series. I LOVED Chevalier and wanted so much more. I was stoked to read this book and I was NOT disappointed.

Abra is on a journey to meet her Father who is ill and has reached out to her. She's unsure of where this will lead her. Will she like him and will he like her? Will she see him in time? Lots of questions she has. She's very independent and strong willed and determined to do this on her own. Well....she probably should have listened to some of the warnings because she landed in a bit of a pickle and got hurt for her trouble. She has no choice but to try and survive and meets an interesting man, Saya. He's roguish and definitely a cad. Abra isnt easy on the eyes but something about her draws him in. This is their journey and what a journey! Loved it!

Abra has received a letter from her long lost father. He is apologizing for not being there for she and her mother when she was conceived. He wants to make up for it, i she will accept his apologies. Abra has recently lost her mother, and is currently attempting to figure out what her life is supposed to be. Where she is from, she is not considered a great beauty. Most of the people in her small town have always treated her as less because her mother was the cleaner in a rich house. But she is looking to get away, to maybe find someone that can add to her life. Maybe that person is her father. In her journey to get to him, she experiences some issues that steer her from her course that she was to follow. The world is about to go to war, and there is no way for her to avoid this. She is detoured to a bath house, where she meets Saya.

Saya is a pirate and he steals for a living. He has been happy in his life with this. Never settling down because he never found the right one. He shared sometime with the mistress of the bath house, but nothing to really keep him there. Until he meets Abra. There is something about her that draws him in. She is beautiful and full of life and worth more than any money could buy. He requests that she travel with him to complete a task. He will keep her safe. He will love her. He will respect her. He will make her his.

I loved their little story. It was wonderful to have someone who was not a conventional beauty by everyone's standards, until the right one came along.

With war on the horizon and a letter in hand Abra Arendel heads out to find the father that she has never known. On her way to find her father she is injured and left for dead . Waking up in a bathhouse she meets charismatic smuggler named Saya. Together they hatch a plan to fit into high society to sell his ill gotten goods . When a spell is cast on Saya he must reach out to Kohl to help reverse it . The stakes are high and love is the prize .
I must say the characters in this story are well written . Saya well he will be your next book boyfriend . He is sexy and a cad . He can make you do almost anything .Abra is sweet and kind of naïve at the beginning of the book . She hasn't had an easy life and doesn't have a lot experience with men . But they are so good together and I loved them as a couple . Kohl is back to help out .
This is a fast read , I sat down and started reading . The characters are great and you will love them . The banter between them is so good it feels so real . In this book the author keeps us on the edge of our seats most of the time . It is a little be more intense then book one and you learn a lot more about the characters and the background of the impending war . I will say at the beginning it took me a little bit to get into Abra's story but once I got to chapter 2 it took off and I couldn't put it down . I say that you should put this series on your summer reading list . Great for the beach .

The first book wasn't supposed to be a series but the characters wouldn't shut up and the author listened to our pleas for more. Before reading Chevliar I had no clue this author had this kind of story in her but I absolutely love Abra, her strength and single minded determination to seek out better. No nothing goes according to plan and along the way one of her detours leads her to Saya. He is a rogue and a smuggler who takes a fancy to her. Their journey isn't an easy one but one with danger, intrigue and excitement putting them smack dab in the middle of a war. This author pulls no punches as she takes us right along with them. It's a great read with great characters that win your heart and who you are invested in their success. I love that Abra is strong and intelligent and open to all the world has for her. Theirs is a low key heartfelt romance, one born from like minds and kindred spirits. I can hardly wait to see what happens in the third and final book of the trilogy, it's gonna be epic.

This was a super fun read. Its a parallel story to the first book in the series, Chevaliar. It follows Abra on her journey to meet her father for the first time. She leaves everything (and everyone) she's ever known behind. She's determined to make this journey herself. Along the way she runs into trouble and meets Saya. At first glance, Saya seems to be the typical bad boy who gets what he wants. Then as the story unfolds his character evolves and you realize there is so much more to this smuggler than his charm and charisma. Then, like all great stories, tragedy strikes. An evil spell is cast and Abra and Saya have to fight to get to the one person who can help them, Kohl. It's an exciting, fast paced, and magical read. Abra and Saya will capture your hearts and you'll be on the edge of your seats the entire book.

This story...
Well there were times I just couldn't help but shake my head at Abra.
After her mother died, Abra embarks on a journey to meet a man claiming to be her father. After all he's now her only living relative. It's while she's on this journey that I couldn't help but shake my head at her antics. Rather than heeding a man's warning she goes against him and ends up injured.
But Fate isn't done with Abra yet. While healing and working off her debts at a bath house, she meets a cad of a man, a smuggler who insists she join him for a job that will require them to play a role of a married couple.
Such a good story. Another brave woman who didn't think love and marriage was for her. But she's fierce when she does find it and will do whatever it takes to protect the man she loves.

This fantastic love story begins with the heroine, Abra receiving a letter from a man claiming to be her father. And thus begins her journey through a beautifully described mythical world to seek out this man. In the midst of surrounding danger Abra crosses path with Saya and soon an unlikely romance blossoms. To quote Ms. Lewandowski "Fate is a funny thing" and I was quickly turning the pages to learn that of this spunky, non-apologetic, determined young lady. I highly recommend spending a few hours immersed in this lovely narrative and discover if love is enough to overcome their incredible circumstances.

Look at that gorgeous cover! Very beautiful.

If you’re looking for a new book boyfriend, read this book. Saya is great!

This is about a girl named Abra, who after loosing her mother, goes in search of her father who sent her a letter. Along the way, she meets some interesting characters like Saya, a smuggler. Again, book boyfriend. This is a fast read, at times sad, but a great story; very well written. If I keep going, I may let out some spoilers so I rather not.

I recommend this book to readers who like reading romance and adventure. It’s also for those who like big cats. 😉 It’s for 18+ readers.

“To be loved was a gift. But to love was a miracle.”
I read the first book of this trilogy and so am delighted to find this second book as full of emotion and as passionate in its telling as the first. We have a beautifully scarred heroine and a strong, mystical hero who set off together on a path that leads them in an unexpected direction, but one that confirms their love and devotion. We await the conclusion that brings together the protagonists from both books to what promises to be a glorious conclusion.

This was a strong sequel in the Paragon Trilogy series, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the previous book. It uses the fantasy romance perfectly and was engaged with what was happening. The characters were everything that I was hoping for and enjoyed about the first book. The overall storyline worked well and was glad I got to read this. Bree M Lew has a strong writing style and was glad I read this.

I definitely recommend this book! I can't wait to read the final story! It's going to be fantastic!

Rogue is a book that caught my attention and didn't let go. In the middle of a war we meet Abra and she receives a letter from her supposed sick and dying father she must go to him. Along the way she finds Saya. Together they decide to make the journey. As they banter back and forth eventually it turns into a something more. Will Abra finally meet her father? Where will this put her and Saya? This was a really good story and i enjoyed reading it. I would like to know more about Abra and Saya.

This is book 2 in the trilogy and is in the same time frame as book 1. Abra has lived her whole life with her mother who has recently died when she receives a letter from her father who she has never known. She leaves to meet him but on her journey she is injured and taken to a bath house where she meets a smuggler called Saya. He has a proposition for her but along the way their feelings change and trouble comes their way. Another good read from this author.

"Rogue was an incredible story! Abra was an exceptional FMC determined to make the journet on her own and when everythinf started to fall apart, she met Saya and well things turned out pretty interesting. With the on going war there was more tension and danger added to their journey. Loved the fact that as the story develop the characters started to show their real persona and Saya will amazed you, trust me! A great story."

In the middle of an onset of war Abra sets out to find the man claiming to be her father. Unfortunately there was a mistake on her part and she ends up working in a bath house. She's not the most beautiful girl there but when a rouge shows interest she doesn't know what to do. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of the trilogy

Full of adventure, romance and a dash of magic. I enjoyed the story and I liked the journey the characters took as their relationship developed. I would’ve liked to see more of their interactions and watch the love grow through the pages rather then having some of it summarized but I was still able to enjoy the story and characters.

Bravery is not a trait often enough credited to women.

Despite the reality women carry on through all forms of strife. Stay strong of mind in unbearable circumstances. The facade is maintained of frailty. So many persist beyond impossible odds. For the sake of love, their freedom, or their children's lives. This story honors that spirit.

Abra and Saya's story is incredible. Leave it to a headstrong young woman to not take advice and land herself lost and hurt. I was sad for the situation with Abra and her father. I am looking forward to the final chapter in this trilogy.

I WANTED TO LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO GET INTO. I FOUND AT TIMES THE INFORMATION BEING GIVEN TO THE READER WAS TOO EXCESSIVE AND IN SOME PARTS NOT NEEDED. THE STORY AS A WHOLE IS A GOOD READ BUT FOUND MYSELF WANTING TO SKIP PARTS TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED NEXT.

I was pleasantly surprised reading this book. I absolutely loved it. It was full of action from start to finish and it was something a little bit different to what I am used to reading. It breathed fresh air into the paranormal genre and I cannot wait to devour the next book and its contents.

I was one of the many who asked - nay, demanded that Bree write this book; & I am so pleased that she did. It didn’t let me down at all, & I’m so proud of Bree for taking the plunge into fantasy writing.

Rogue tells the story of two different lives than those featured in Chevalier, but the four lives of both books unite at the end of Rogue & the stories are tied together beautifully. I cannot wait for the final instalment in this series as I imagine it to be full of action - with some wonderfully detailed intimate scenes added in for good measure. I also anticipate having my heart broken.

⚠️ This book contains hints at self-harm, mild violence & detailed scenes of a sexual nature ⚠️

I was sent this book by the author in return for an honest review.
