Aliens Snared My Heart

Rate this book
Do aliens believe in love at first bite?

Paz is tired of being the only single human on the planet. Ready for an alien mate of his own, he secretly ventures from the village to find the Maeleons who left on a ‘quest’... only to discover that word has a very different connotation on Eukaria.

When Paz is caught in a hunting trap and confronted by an aggressive Maeleon, he’s forced to put his diplomacy skills to the ultimate test—before the hottest alien he’s ever seen eats him alive.

Kur’tok is a pariah among his people. His harsh behavior is unacceptable to his brethren, and Kur’tok doesn’t care to fix it. Resentful of the village, he roams the Eukaria wilds, vowing to selfishly indulge his every craving. Nothing—and nobody—will ever change that.

Not even the captive flesh-bag who makes his heart feel disgustingly fuzzy.

Aliens Snared My Heart is a sweet, spicy romp in an alien world. It features a pregnancy between a cis man and an alien. Fluff, high-heat scenes, and HEA included!

If I'd give it, it'd be 1.75⭐ and I won't do it, because this just came out and I'm really not a fan, so I won't meddle. But I'll be honest.

I've decided this author wasn't for me in the previous installment already, but I was intrigued by this Maeleon, so I decided to give it a shot anyway.

The alien was interesting, the human main character was bland and the whole story seemed like its intended audience definitely isn't readers like me.

🔵 Same thing, different characters
🟢 Reminds me of a monster romance author I've read an arc for years back that wrote similar stories, monsters and humans had ridiculous interactions and the whole story felt weird
🟡 Why not just make it a good alien smut? Why bring so many unnecessary things into it?
🌶️ The dick of this alien was as long as the main character himself, so what he did was he jumped on it and wiggled around so he was able to jerk the alien off. I mean should I laugh or cry, I don't know

This has been the main thing in all three books and it was getting on my nerves, so at this point I'm certain I won't be reading this series again.

We're talking about 3 guys that were on the spaceship that crashed on the planet. The only white guy, Levi, is getting shit throughout the series for crashing the ship and it's always sarcastic remarks and looks about his supposed stupidity and it didn't stop with this book, it just continued. It's not even funny anymore. I can't imagine the author doing this for any of the other two characters, I'll just leave it at that.

"He laughed off my insult. “If you think I’m dumb, you should meet my friend Levi.”"

What's funny is that Levi and his love story were the best of the bunch. And instead of turning it around like - we're glad he crashed here, because we all found our soulmates, these guys just keep yapping about him. They really can't do anything wrong, while Levi, well, he's the eternal joke. Even his relationship with his Maeleon is laughable, apparently.

Question : on what alien planet galaxies away do monsters/aliens, who have no concept of gender, care about pronouns?
It was said in the previous books that the aliens don't care about how they're called, yet these guys won't let off, they just keep talking about it. Why even bring this up? Why complicate things to this degree on another planet?

"Before I could pry deeper into my memories, Paz sighed and launched into an explanation of something called ‘pronouns.’"

"With the ripped muscles and imposing figure, I couldn’t help thinking of him as masculine."

"Paz crossed its arms. “Listen, dude. I’m a human. That’s just the way we’re built. Cis men, like me, have dicks on the outside.”"

“Unless you shove it back between my thighs and tape it there like a drag queen, pretty much.”

“It is my pet,” I stated.
“Okay, first of all,” Paz interjected, “I’m not an it. I’m a he.”

"As for the pronouns, we chose the same ones we both used, at least for the time being. If Chey’ish wanted to change them later, that was fine by us."

Why this author is so focused on bringing earth-related things (pretty much american things) to this planet along with its figures of speech that aliens know nothing about, is beyond me. It's 3 against the whole planet. They have to adapt, not the aliens. Unless they're like american tourists in this scenario - in that case I get it. Literally nothing can be done.

“Let’s go, diplomacy freak,” Kur’tok grumbled.

“Oh, cut it out,” Paz said. “Are you a red- flag possessive alpha male or not?”

"Paz let out a snort. “You started it, doofus.”
“Doofus?” I roared."

“What? Lecherous? You’re the one who’s got me captured, collared, and tied up like I’m the heroine of a smutty romance book.”

What a mess, seriously.
Diplomacy freak? From an alien who hears flowers talk?
Heroine in a smutty romance book?
How the hell do they even know what it means???

The alien had potential, he was vicious enough and if he had a more fleshed out character as his filum, this would be something, but it's not.

I honestly don't know what to make of this book. I didn't mind the basic idea of the story, but I don't think I ended up liking it that much.

The characters were just a bit too two-faced, which of course was the idea, but it didn't work that well.

And the new characters were just so random. Everything somehow didn't fit with the first impression I got of this world in the first book.

I think the author derailed a bit with the last book and especially with this one. I'm not a fan, unfortunately.

I love a monster romance where the protagonist is so on the nose with “oOoooOohh nOo~ kidnapped by a scary beast, I hope he doesn’t ravage me~” and the scary beast is standing there like, “…be more afraid please.”

Good addition to the series.

A MM romance in a 💚whole new world🌱 with Alien x Human, longing, heartache, ✨dangerous✨ meet-cute, finding his inner freak, the customary cute & m-preg!
I've been following this series since it started (loved covers too!) checking (aka *sorta* reading, can't help myself 😅) each book—& of course, it's the 3rd one which I read start to finish lol. These 2 just started so differently, I was hooked! I gotta read this series fully soon. This is not the end 😉.

Paz is the diplomatic one of the 3 humans who crash landed into Eukaria. P can charm his way with words. P's jealous, longs for love like his friends...he KNOWS his mate is somewhere out there. So he's off on a (secret?) journey! Then finds himself trapped by a gorgeous, dangerous alien 🤭.

Kur'tok is (anti-)Maeleon. He's a predator, a rogue with his "lackies". K's like a gangster at start 😤 & red flags especially with the "Prey-Pet" thing with Paz! But P wins K over with the honesty & sass 😂. K's kind, protective, possessive. With a past of hurt & guilt, can K forgive himself? Cute pet (Pandars or Panthars tho? Typo?). His friends are f'ing goals omg!

It's fast-paced, low angst with eye-raising scenes, P finding his inner kinky freak 😂, growly 🚩 alien + a human (funny) newness 🤭, ✨naked cave life✨, some heart-racing action, sweet & adorbs, fears & vulnerablity 😭, Hot spicy chemistry 🥵, fated mates with insta love, long *cough*, watery fun 😉, m-preg, 💦Throne💦, & a cute baby!

My streak continues of reading later books in series first heh. Devoured this in 4hrs. My 1st book of Feb! I love this world & all the characters! The found family theme is fabulous. With a new character introduced, I'm so curious who's under his suit!

I liked Paz and Kur’tok and their grumpy sunshine dynamic. Paz’s “kink unlocked” moments were very fun. That said, I thought the storyline was rushed for such a longstanding issue.

Spice: 3/5

Triggers: kidnapping, captivity, forced nudity, bullying, accidental animal neglect, fire (historical), emotional manipulation and abuse of child (historical), mention of execution, hunting, animal attack, pregnancy, birth

I adored this one. Poor Kur’tok. His trauma was so heartbreaking because as a child he was pure and innocent, just desperate for acceptance and love. I loved his character development. His entire personality seemed stunted from the trauma, almost child like. Paz being the golden retriever he was, brought out the best in him, for just unconditionally loving him and seeing the best in him. Giving him the opportunity to be a good Maelon. This one really touched my soul. Such a satisfying ending as well.

My Opinions on:
Okay so I liked this wayyyyyy better than number two. The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars? We STILL got the constant jabs at Levi and his crash/”lack” of intelligence. I counted at least 8 times that stood out to me. If they could chill on the whole blame game that would be great. It makes me feel like they aren’t even friends. Yeah, my friends and I bag on each other but this is different. Levi isn’t there to defend himself and it just seems kinda mean. Other than that, I loved this one! I liked the change in the attitude/personality of the Maeleon MC and loved the collar kink Paz learned he has lol. Maybe a de-humanization kink? Or like, a humanization kink? Oh well what I’m trying to say is he liked the shit Kur’tok called him LOL. He’s his little flesh bag.

Favorite Part: When they went to the It felt like a changing point for Kur’tok and was what he needed to come to terms with his past.

Favorite Side Character(s): N/A. I don’t have one, but I just wanted to say I love Kur’tok. I feel like his character had the most dimension and a good redemption story. I was rooting for him the whole time. At least he wasn’t stuck with Jaeyoung. I just really don’t like Jaeyoung LOL.

Hardest/Most Difficult Part: N/A

Interesting World Building Facts I Retained: Krokutta’s are carnivorous, quadrupedal beasts that live in the forest and can give a Maeleon a run for its money on strength. Panthar/Pandar’s are cute and apparently okay with being a pet lol.

Aliens Hijacked My Heart (Awakened Womb #2) Maeleons have an additional membrane that can cover their eyes and enable them to see the connection and confirm that someone is their Filum.

Aliens Abducted My Heart (Awakened Womb #1) - Planet: Eukaria, Inhabitants: Maeleons. Can photosynthesize (baby Maelons do only this until they get teeth) and are extremely strong. Feelers display emotion visually and can process and push emotions by touching them to others. This is considered very intimate. Fangs are for eating fruit and procreation. They are herbivores. They sleep hanging upside down. Sex is very common and shared amongst everyone unless they are Filum. Only Filum can breed. The Sweetfields are protected, damage punishable by death, the Maeleons can hear them speak. There is no hierarchy and nothing belongs to anyone. There is an aphrodisiac fruit that makes you hella horny all night. Maeleon x Human pregnancy = approximately 2 weeks.

Aliens Snared My Heart (Book 3): ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.
Mmmm… I’m all for an enemy-to-lovers trope, but… calling your partner a flesh bag? Ehhhh…. Not cute.
The last book follows Paz, the crew's diplomat and cheeky optimist. At this point everyone has fallen in love and started families, so Paz is starting to feel left out and jealous of his crewmates.

Paz really carried this couple yall. Though the squabbling and childish antics from Kur’tok grew on me, he was quite the brute and could be quite annoying here and there. Knowing that he had someone who was willing to be patient for him was good cause BOI when I say I would have gotten myself eaten day one. DAY ONE YALL.

Overall, I think this series has a serious case of “Short book”-itis. If each book had been longer than it wouldn’t have felt so fast-paced. That’s why I didn’t dock stars for issues I had concerning anyone falling in love too fast. It’s a risk you take picking up shorter books. NOT THAT THE SERIES STILL WASN'T SUPER GOOD ANYWAYS. I still enjoyed them!
------------------------------------------------
Aliens Abducted My Heart (Book 1): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.
In book one we follow the captain! Levi was easily my favorite cause he made me laugh and he was probably the most relatable… weirdly enough lmao XD Not to mention his alien hubby, Zat'tor, was super charming and the ‘stoic and calm’ type we know and love. They had an ‘insta-love’ sort of relationship. Not for everyone, I know, but they were cute all the same. Normally I’m not one for the ‘Love at First’ site, but it worked somehow. Probably because they were just so cute together.

Aliens Hijacked My Heart (Book 2): ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars.
By this point I probably could have stopped because I pretty much got the story I wanted in book 1, buuuuttttttt I kept on trucking to finish the series lol. Jaeyoung is who we’re matching up in this one and he’s the crew's doctor. I liked him…but Linn'ar wasn’t quite my favorite amongst the alien partners in the trilogy (*Cough* LEAST FAV *Cough**) and I felt like this was the type of ‘insta-love’ I normally don’t like. Which is odd, seeing as book one managed to pull it off. Idk they just didn’t really feel like they had a connection. Like Linn'ar was a love-struck puppy the entire time and Jaeyoung was pretty much just using him in the first half to get what he wanted. Though I didn’t like Linn’ar, Jaeyoung wasn’t much better motive wise, and I still somehow ended up liking him in the end. XD Since he pretty much had to be the ‘smarts’ of the crew you can tell that most of his behavior came from having to push his wants to the side. Getting to see him loosen up and actually learn to love Linn’ar was good, but I will stand by my opinion that it felt like there wasn’t much of a connection. (Still got the 3 stars because I know if this series had longer books, they would have been a rocking slow burn couple!)

🫃I'm starting with an open mind. A beautiful blank slate full of hope that getting a look inside Paz's head will make me like him. Sure, he's only been a big fucking idiot nuisance since the start of the series, but perhaps observing the world through his POV will reveal him to be something beyond that. Maybe on the inside, he'll read as an age older than, like. Sixteen.
🫃We're calling Levi a himbo now? I don't think you can just call any guy a himbo if the only trait that qualifies him is stupidity. But I guess words don't have to mean anything. 🤷
🫃No actually, what an insane thing to say, that crashing an aircraft is an example of Levi being a himbo. Not every dumb bitch can be sexualized; sometimes there's just a skittle rattling around in there, no more and no less. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
🫃["there were no office cubicles sucking out your soul while a boss breathed down your neck"] What I want to know is how Paz managed to be both ground down by an office job AND an interplanetary diplomat, all before graduating k-12.
🫃Ooh the LI kinda mean, huh. Is this to be a tale of "I can fix him" bussy? Or will he turn into a big sappy dope when he knocks up the dummy? Let's find out together.
🫃Pax strikes out into the wilderness without an aim and wanders immediately into a trap set by someone who wants to eat him. If this is the caliber of men we're sending into space, the aliens can have them.
🫃["Those questing Maeleons couldn't be THAT far from the village."] Why not? They have an entire planet to quest on. What exactly do you think "quest" means? Quickly.
🫃 Paz calling Levi stupid is like the pot calling the kettle pregnant.
🫃["My voice and diplomacy skills were my only weapons."] So you're gonna die for real
🫃just like a man to equate being a yes-man to diplomacy. We're supposed to believe Paz is a maverick diplomat just because he can Yes, And. In that case, there's a whole niche improv community in Chicago we should be signing up for NATO, stat
🫃Paz really can't help but call Levi a big dumb stupid idiot at every opportunity. He's right, but it's very much giving "who is that other dog"
🫃Highkey love the combo mean-dummy and affable-dummy. I think it's beautiful that they match each others' stupid. Love wins 🩷

This one was fine. I'm glad we got some new adjectives, and it's a relief that Paz wasn't fucking insufferable like Levi. Being in his head was fine. I'm shocked there wasn't more sex tbqh.

Aliens Snared My Heart brings a wilder, more primal edge to the series. Paz, tired of being the only single human surrounded by happily mated couples, sets off to find his own Maeleon partner. But his quest takes an unexpected turn when he’s literally caught by Kur’tok, a surly and dangerous outcast. Kur’tok is a Maeleon who thrives on solitude and indulgence, but Paz’s arrival throws his world into chaos. Their dynamic is electric—Kur’tok is gruff and resistant, while Paz is determined to win over the intimidating alien who makes his heart race. The “enemies-to-lovers” tension is delicious, with just the right mix of danger and desire. Paz’s charm and resilience slowly melt Kur’tok’s icy walls, and their steamy encounters are laced with emotional vulnerability. Kur’tok’s internal struggle and eventual surrender to love make for a deeply satisfying arc. The unexpected pregnancy twist adds emotional stakes, and watching Kur’tok transform from a hardened loner to a devoted mate is pure bliss. Their HEA feels well-earned, and the journey to get there is filled with passion, danger, and tender surprises.

I had no idea this existed until yesterday and I'm so glad this series is still going. It's a very feel-good, low angst alien romance series, which I appreciate. I had been wondering about what Paz's story would entail and this was all very Beauty and the Beast. We have Paz, longing for someone to call his own, and Kur'tok, who had banished himself to a life of loneliness and anger. I really liked Paz and his treatment of Kur'tok. He never got frustrated with him or blew up at him; he had endless patience because he knew, deep down, he could change him. I'm very curious about Kur'tok's companions and where the story will go from here. Will they be lucky enough to find filums?
I honestly wasn't expecting to find out about more humans who've been to this planet. Who is Assistant 23? Do they have alternative motives? Hopefully we get another book before the end of the year.

𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Ive been waiting patiently for this story 🥹
𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞: 🌶🌶 - I love seeing pet kinks (even undiscovered ones)
𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥: 13/12

I have been waiting for this story since I first read book one. I knew that I would absolutely love this duo and I was not wrong.

All through book one and book two one of the MMCs would always be seen staring into the distance and I just KNEW that his mate would be out there.

I was not imagining the meet cute that they had but I am so here for it! I was constantly laughing while reading this pair dynamic and when you think that you don't like one of the MMCs you get his backstory and you get sucker punched in the gut because he becomes baby.

I am low-key thinking that there will be a book four based on how book three ended and I would be so down to see how it goes.

This book has:

I was so excited to get an email that this book was suddenly out! This series is so gorgeous and sweet. It has had fabulous world building through the previous 2 books and is a unique alien planet setting.

Paz is jealous of his friends having found the mates. He wants his mate too. He is always drawn to the edge of the village, looking out to the land beyond and thinks he mate must be out there. So he sneaks off one night and is literally snared in a trap by Kur’tok.

Kur’tok is a grump and an ass but Paz wears down his rude ways talking constantly and not backing down from his brashness.

Loved this story! It was so cute and sweet and just a nice little comfort read!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I've enjoyed the series so far, but very casually. The first book was okay, and the second book was more "meh" for me (not much of Linn'ar fan, sadly).

With Aliens Snared My Heart, I found myself more invested in the dynamics between Paz and Kur’tok. Not only do you have the Grumpy/Sunshine trope going on, but there's some genuine conflict between them that pushes Kur’tok to grow (not so much Paz). It's also amusing to read Paz gentle parenting Kur’tok as Kur’tok literally says dramatic-ass things like: "No one understands me, but you."

How can I not snicker?

Throw in the minor mystery of how Kur’tok became this alien version of Beast from Beauty and the Beast, and you got a pretty entertaining story.

Good, popcorn-y fun with humans lost on an alien planet, and huge friendly Maeleons with equally huge cocks and magic, DNA-altering cum that can turn a man into a childbearing kind-of omega.

This time around, though, the Maeleon is the angry, shouty Kur'tok who lives in exile in the jungle with two underlings that he treats horribly. When Paz, the diplomat of the failed mission is caught in the snare Kur'tok has set to catch his dinner, he is very nearly eaten. Now he just needs to survive, get the big guy to fuck him, and figure out why Kur'tok is so angry and shouty in the first place.

I wonder if there'll be another one, with the mysterious Assistant 23 who is still skulking around with his face hidden behind his visor.

Still cute and all that jazz, it just had that same lack that the second book had. Like, there was so much potential, so many things that needed better explanation, yet we got the bare minimum all-around. It started out strong, but quickly fell back off, and it made me sad for the whole thing. I wanted so much more for them by the end.

3.5/5. Maybe if there’s a fourth book, we can turn it all back around and get back to the magic from the first book? Idk. We shall see. As it stands, it was alright, but book one holds the title of “Best of the Series”.

It's been a while since I read the first two books, so I'm not sure, but I think this one is my favorite. Mainly because I loved Kur’tok. He's the biggest grump in the whole world, but it makes sense when Oakley slowly unveils the why and, in turn, adds more worldbuilding (and a 4th MC?!). These are light fluffy fun books, even though Kur’tok is trying to be so growly and scary - too bad he's mated up with Paz who is just like, "yeah, okay buddy, you dont scare me'. It's just a great way to spend the day (especially on audio!)

Cute Fluff Alien Romance!

Paz and Kur’tok are cute together! I love how Kur’tok is this giant, grumpy alien and Paz is his tint human who is not afraid to match his energy. The male pregnancy aspect is still odd to me but it’s such a small part of the book that it is almost inconsequential. A solid three star read for when you want a cute, mildly spicy, insta-love alien & human romance!

Honestly, this was a welcome addition to the smut I have read. Given the whole premise of the previous 2 books, this one was a different change of story.

I really like that we are introduced to new characters and adding onto the previous 2 stories as well. It does get a little much with Paz being perma horny around Kur'tok, but nothing I can't handle tbh.

Overall, I liked it, and if I ever end up picking up this series, this will definitely be included.

4.5 but I rounded up because wow.

That turned a bit serious really fast. It just goes to show you how someone can influence someone and not always for the good. 😔

In the previous books, we came to know Paz but I'm glad he had his own book to shine. Poor Kur'tok, my gosh, he went through so much. I'm glad that they found each other.

Now, please tell me

This one was fun! An improvement over the last one, for sure. I loved the “oh no~ that’s so terrible~” vibes from Paz. Reminded me of the trope/meme of monster romance girlies scaring the monsters by NOT being scared of them. It was kind of like the second one in that it abandoned the “kink” that would have made it more interesting halfway through, but it at least had a pairing I found more interesting regardless of that.

Kur’tok and Paz are the cutest ever. I liked this story.
A note: I did not read book 2, I skipped one (no particular reason).

Paz finds his HEA with grumpy alien Kur'tok. The pregnancy part was shorter than book 1 (not my fav part but giving the subtitle of the series, you get what's expected).

If you take it for what it is, smut alien romance on a cute planet, you might have fun. If you expect to read some high literature and logic, pick something else.
