😳😳 how?? How could you...

Wow.. what a book! Just like the wolves.. I fell, and i fell deep! From the internal thoughts that we are privy to (strangely comforting that I have similar ones.. and similar sass) to the way Sloane describes just enough to keep you guessing but the perfect amount to get you hooked! Collectively, I spent about 3 days absolutely obsessed with this story! Between being a busy mum and doing the mundane tasks, my thoughts often drifted to what I'd read so far, what i expected to happen and expecting the unexpected.. let me tell you- my fragile little mind was blown by the end of this! I can not wait for the next installment of Riley, Kieran, Sebastian, Roman and... Miles' torturous masterpiece! I guess like those wolves of Rileys... I'll just have to wait and see!

Dangerous Devotion is a story about a woman who forged her way as an orphan without her memories. She’s a bartender for her chosen family at their pub and has regulars she considers her close friends. Her boss is having a hard time paying for things while also funding his wife’s medical bills after a cancer diagnosis. So the bartender, Riley, has been cooking the books a bit to make ends meet and this attracts the attention of local illegal enterprise, the Crimson Brotherhood. The Crimson Brotherhood is made up of four found-brothers, Sebastian, Kieran, Miles and Roman. Each brother is hot, smart, strong. Will these brothers be the key to unlocking Riley’s hidden past and help her discover who she truly is?


Holy cannoli, I’m seriously in awe. I’m going to be honest, I was not eager to read this book. I committed a cardinal sin, I judged a book by its cover! Who does that!? I decided to give it a chance because the author was advertising the book, I love a why choose and I love a mafia story. My word am I impressed. Riley is such a carefully constructed character. She’s has real emotions. She’s not a manic pixie dream girl, she a truly relatable girl; well as much as you can relate to amnesiac-bartenders turned… well let’s not spoil it. But beyond that each of the brothers are truly unique. They all have wonderful and different qualities, with wonderful backgrounds. I’m now eager to read the next when she finishes it. I’m dying to know more about Miles. I’m desperate to learn more about Roman. Oh Roman 🥵. I’m hopeful about Kieran but most of all I’m dying to see things develop between Sebastian and Riley. This book ends on a cliffhanger, but it’s worth it. I will be on the lookout for the next book.

OMG! This story pulls you in right from the very beginning and doesn’t let go, even when you reach the end of this first book. Riley is a woman that will have you completely in shock and awe. You wish you could be her with all her cleverness and strength. She is someone who cares deeply and strongly. She has moves that will shock you. Then we have the Brotherhood. They each have unique personalities that blend seamlessly together. Roman with commanding presence, Sebastian with his cold demeanor that you just know there is more below the surface. Kieran with deranged but puppy dog energy and then Miles with his quiet that sees everything around him. The chemistry between Riley and the guys is off the charts. The story is extremely well written and developed. I love this world that Sloane Castle created. This journey we are taking has you in complete shock when we get to the end of this book. I am absolutely excited for the next book in the series. A fantastic and amazing story.

Absolutely no words!

This has everything! Danger, love, suspense, SPICE! Holy man... I am so glad I took the recommendation and read this! Instantly fell in love with Riley... And Kieran. He definitely is a Wild One, but with a soft side. Riley is absolutely badass. Roman is ... Literal sex on legs. Miles is the quiet lover and Sebastian... Well give him time. You'll come to love him just as much. He's just had his heart torn out. That familial twist, I don't actually think I saw coming. My heart hurts for the guys. Literally torn out and stomped on. Especially for Kieran. Our poor wolf boy. But Riley knows what she's doing... Right?? I really hope that she is able to have what she has with the other three, with Sebastian. I hope they can forgive what she's done... I canNOT wait for the sequel!!

Read this!

Brilliant, one of the best crime/mafia books I’ve read in a long time. Each character jumped off the page and straight into my heart. I actually cried at the ending.
I loved this book so much, Riley was an awesome fmc, taken in by an entire community and she cares for them as much as they do for her. When I finally got to the backstory behind the community, I could’ve cried for both them and her. I also loved that the guys came looking for her specifically, for her particular skillset with creative accounting, rather than thinking she was someone/something special. I mean she is, but she doesn’t know it, though she does come to realise it when she can fight and speak fluent Russian without knowing how.
The guys were fantastic, especially Kieran, who is mad in the best way ever. Love how the others wouldn’t let Riley and him out to ‘play’ alone again after the bloodshed of their primal game. Miles was my other favourite, but Roman and Sebastian are both equally hot, though initially you’ll hate Sebastian. Trust me you’ll change your mind.
But that ending, despite shouting at the author not to do it, she did and broke Riley’s, the guys and my heart. But to be fair, I was alright with it, until I realised that this was the first book and there weren’t any more out yet. So can please everyone read this, so the author will know she wrote a great story and will write the next one. Asap, please!

I need book 2 like I need water

Chills the ending left me with chills. I just gotta know how long is the wait for the next book? Wow I started this book yesterday and I could not put it down. The chemistry between Riley and each of the male main characters just explosive. She is truly the other half of each of them. This book was well written once the next one comes out I will be rereading this book again.

Wow! What a great book! I have to say I just love Riley and what a badass she is!! The way the Broherhood takes her in and starts awakening her memories of the past and her skills. I love each of the brothers for their different sides. I think Miles is my favorite but all of them are perfect characters. I can’t believe the ending!!! Ugh now we have to wait for the next book.

unfortunately I don't have that many great things to say. I'll start on a positive note, I love miles relationship with the fmc it felt the most authentic & wasn't rushed like the others. Now the issues I have Kieran & the fmc said "I love you" 30% into the book...that's way too early, & completely rushed. All I feel is the sexual attraction between them, I don't feel the love at all.

Same with Roman, also he's a weird one at first he's like: "I don't want your heart," he promised against my skin, each word branded into me. "I want your submission". Then he pushes her away she hangs around with Kieran & he gets jealous. And then they suddenly love each other, & it turns out he can give his heart away? eehm okay...

I don't have much to say about her relationship with Sebastian & Miles because those actually felt more natural, not trusting her instantly & building a slow relationship with her. If Roman & Kieran's relationship would have been slower too I would have probably liked it more, it's also a problem that their relationship is mostly sex. There's not good communication.

now to the dialogue just from the beginning I was struggling with lines like:
"Christ, she's already trying to limit my fun. Hear that, boys? The little pup's putting a leash on the Big Bad Wolf."

or
"and I'll show you exactly how much damage a size seven sneaker can do to your family jewels from this angle."

it was so cringe... it's giving a teen first Wattpad story, and wattpad has better writing than this. it stopped being cringe for a while at least & I could shrug off the pup nickname because I may not like it, it's just a nickname. But mind you this isn't even an omega verse yet some lines are like this:

"They think they're hunting wolves." Each word carried a lethal promise. "They forgot that wolves have mates."

"Last chance to understand why our Luna would tear us apart like this."

if this was an omega verse I wouldn't care, but the fact that this is supposed to be a gangster book makes this so incredibly cringe.

there were some lines I did like:
"What I feel for each of you... it's different, but it's all part of who I am now. Miles shows me patience and understanding that runs soul-deep. Kieran awakens both light and dark parts of me I never knew existed. Sebastian grounds me, even when he's being impossibly rigid."

"What she needed was my trust. The same trust she'd given us without hesitation, even after seeing the violence we were capable of. She belonged here, with us. With Miles especially" (Sebastian pov)

but even great lines like these aren't enough for me to like the overreal dialogue because I think a lot of them are cringe & that the fmc Is giving not like other girls trope, which was strengthen by this line:

"You know," Sebastian's voice carried just far enough, "most women would have chosen modesty over combat effectiveness."
Roman's reply held that unexpected warmth only he could manage. "Brother, I concluded long ago that Riley is most definitely not 'most women.'"

of course she needs to be different & unique from other girls... of course.

maybe I would be able to overlook the dialogue If the plot was more interesting but that too feels over the top, I think I would have preferred if the fmc learned how to fight with them instead of having secret memories. It all became a bit too much at times .

Now last the ending was so stupid I can't even, & the fact that they don't trust her. The whole book was talking about how she needed to earn their trust while they did nothing to earn hers. And these male leads are supposed to be smart but believed such a stupid lie, at least miles was the only one who doubted it. That's why he's the best. This book was just chaos, idk if this is the author's first book but it feels like it.

And I wanna say that I'm not being harsh because I like to be mean and because I think this is the worst book i have ever read ... trust me I have read worse. I am harsh because I'm honest, I will never lie in my reviews. Also it's fine if people disagree this was just my opinion

Plot: 5/5 • Smut: 3/5 —————-> From start to finish that had me in captivated me. I’m more pissed I started this and there’s no date for book two still. 😡


Riley is a bartender who has no memory of her life before 14, when Mr. O’Malley found her dumpster diving and gave her a chance. Four men, the Crimson Brotherhood, aka Miles, Kieran, Roman, and Sebastian. They’re there to do some dirty laundering, but Riley has some rules of her own.


They take her under their wing and train with her. During these training sessions part of her past slowly start to surface. She’s realizes without utter confusion that she’s trained in many forms of combat. Her body moves on its own as if it was ingrained from within her.


There are other groups out there who want Riley for themselves. Though she doesn’t understand why. Her and Miles are brutally attacked one night. Almost to death, but it was just a warning.


In retaliation to that attack the four men try and take out the men who attacked them. In doing so, Miles sacrifices himself for Kieran to get away and get back to base with the other guys. They return to Riley without Miles and she is distraught. She comes up with her own plan. She breaks all their hearts in doing so. But in the end she sacrifices herself in order for them to release Miles alive.


This ends in a cliffy. And again, I’m so mad there’s no book 2 yet. I loved all the guys. Maybe sebastian the least, but Kieran was my favorite. I have high hopes for book 2.

Riley is the exact kind of MFC I adore in this genre—a woman who thinks she’s ordinary, only to find out she’s been extraordinary all along. Watching her go from “bartender with great math skills” to “walking mystery with lethal instincts” was such a ride.
And the Crimson Brotherhood? Holy Moly. Each of the four men brings something different and dangerously addictive to Riley’s world. Kieran’s wild brutality, Roman’s commanding intensity, Sebastian’s icy brilliance, and Miles’ silent but devastating devotion… it’s impossible to pick a favorite, and honestly, Riley made the correct choice by not choosing at all.
Their chemistry is explosive in that dark-romance way that walks the line between obsession and devotion.
If you love a dark reverse harem full of violence, obsession, secrets, and four men who’d burn a city down for one woman, Dangerous Devotion is exactly the ride you’re looking for.

It's always great to find new to me authors and even better when these authors bring completely engulfing stories. This is one of those. This story is intense, emotional and intriguing. The mfc is Riley. She's fantastic! Strong, independent, smart and loyal. The Crimson Brotherhood consists of Sebastian, Roman, Kieran and Miles. Each of these guys bring something different to the table and man do they ever bring it. The chemistry between these characters is explosive and their storyline pulls you in very quickly and keeps you flipping pages to see what's next. It does end on a cliffhanger (yeah, I know), but it's so worth the read. I can't wait to see what's next for these characters!

Sometimes the past is better kept in the past, that’s how the saying goes right? Riley thought so until the Brotherhood burst into her life. Now four hot and ruthless men are incorporating themselves into Riley’s everyday life. But how long will this last?

Riley has to be one of my favorite FMC I have read in a while. As she is learning each layer of herself we see each men of the brotherhood fall for Riley. The men challenge Riley at every turn and the banter is so fun. Riley is strong and takes nothing from no one.

The plot line in this book is so full and will keep you guessing. I never wanted this book to end. Thank goodness there is still more of the story to come.

The ending tore at my heart a little but boy am I excited to see what is in store for book 2!

It's not you, it's me. DNF at 82%.

Up until the last few chapters, my only complaints were some inconsistencies (example: Adrian is 6'6", but then he's 6'4", then back to 6'6") and stupid things to get caught up on (example: I very seriously doubt an expensive Audi has a lever under the seat to push it back). But then the story fell flat. Very flat. And knowing that it ends in a cliffhanger has me wanting to put this book to the side for now. maybe when the second book comes out I will finish reading this one.

Cliffhanger ending...

The storyline was interesting and different but drag a bit. The entire book was overdone on steam and weak on the action. The heroine was supposed to be a fighter but yet is constantly being cuddle. The ending was a big cliffhanger with the heroine switching sides supposedly. The h Brotherhood was easily defeated in the end and in my opinion was weak. Annoyed this was another drag the storyline type of series with predictable plotline and steam focus.

Wow just wow. I fucking loved this. It's not what I expected it was so much more. It totally surprised me. In a good way though. I'm so glad I picked it up.

The characters are amazing, the plot is plotting and the storyline fantastic. It sure kept you guessing.

What a wild rollercoaster ride that had twists and turns. Action packed and never a dull moment.

Solid characters

After the Crimson Brotherhood takes over the bar that she works at, she finds that she's in over her head and way out of her depth and yet she knows that she's right where she belongs, even if she can't explain why she knows that.

Riley has all the wit, resilience, and this sharp tongue that makes her the perfect and unforgettable FMC. Riley is the FMC that you can't help but cheer on and root for. What can I say this book is a bit of me 4 dangerous sexy as hell, men in a brotherhood come into a pub and demand to use it as there headquarters but come upon a feisty barmaid that’s not used to things going her way
