Following the events of Rogue Assembly, Rogue, an escaped soldier named Lat and a genetically enhanced talking Kawaii Kitten, have been playing it safe. The switch to low risk jobs has kept the bills paid and is slowly adding to Rogue's account, but they can't keep that up forever. At the pace they're earning it'll take years for Rogue to buy a real combat ready ship. They've been trying to ignore the war and keep a low profile, but her oldest enemy has a long reach. When Rogue is rudely reminded that the Order of Eden is still looking for her, she decides to stop hiding. Indirect retaliation is a far more appealing option, and she may have a way to turn revenge into a great payday. Set in the Spinward Fringe Universe, this is the second book in the Rogue Element Series.

A very fun installment in the series. A little intrigue a little mystery, a fair amount of action. First person perspective gives this a bit of a twist. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't really love the kitten, but then I'm not a cat person either. Looking forward to the next installment.
So Rogue has decided what she wants to do moving forward, and with the help from Jake. She takes her first steps towards becoming a bounty hunter. And she knows what direction to go.
Rogue is an offshoot of the spinward fringe universe. The pacing is good and the action one again flows. There are details that matter and others that set the stage for the next story. All in all a solid addition that I enjoyed
Man am more than pleased that what I assumed would be a filler story would instead be another wild ride adventure that would get me hooked all over again. I have already purchased a copy of Rouge Cause Book 3 and will dive in right after this post:)
By far, Randolph Lalonde's best work in my opinion. Action, conflict, creative solutions to challenges, thoughtful planning and some help from Jake. Well done!
All of his work from Broadcast Zero to this book is worth the read. But, this is the best.
Great read, incredible World building & expansion of the story with a characters that feels new & familiar at the same time as well as very interesting & exciting.
This author is really good! He reminds me of Charles Stross and his “Saturns Children” book.
I enjoyed the Rogue books and they are not boring since something is always happing and it is very entertaining! I’m definitely a fan now and will be reading his other books.
