Infinite Enigma

Rate this book
Maya finally catches up to the life where she’s actually Maya again, growing up in a Connecticut suburb in the ’80’s and ’90’s. It all comes full circle and just because she recently lived this life, doesn’t mean Maya doesn’t have to see it all again, this time with eyes that remember the whole adventure thus far.

After all these lifetimes, Maya hones an amazing psychic gift of seeing beyond the veil as she nears the end of her journey.

Maya wouldn’t call it a gift, though—it’s more like a curse that stole her childhood—drawing unwanted attention from her school, psychiatric hospital, and even a black ops government project in Montauk.

At first, the project seems intriguing—and let’s face it, she’d follow her green-eyed soulmate anywhere— but very quickly, it takes a horrible turn that she might not find a way out of.

Infinite disappointment

I loved everything about the first four books in this series and read each of them multiple times while waiting for this book to come out. The concept and premise are unique and well worth writing/reading about. I don’t know what happened with this book, but it read as though it were written by an adolescent for adolescents. Other than the characters themselves, nothing about this book resembled the previous books in character development, dialogue, quality, or in storyline. Additionally, there were multiple typographical errors, misplaced punctuation, and misused words (ex: there vs their) in every single chapter, which was very distracting and detracted from the experience of reading it. I’m not sure that I will bother to get book 6.

this life in the 90s

I absolutely love this series the historical details of each of the past lives. Now they are on life 13 as gifted kids dealing with their gifts in the 90s. I love the little parts of this like foreshadowing 9/11 or duck tales can’t wait to see how it all ends.
