What a great way to end the series. Deeply Examined III is the third and final part of the series.

I told you guys in my review of Deeply Examined II that I had my doubts about West, but I had no idea it would contain so much raw emotion and that my heart would break for West.
If we talk about spice, I mean Jess and Adam have always had delicious chemistry, but this book has more spice than the previous books. The spice and their chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS. Perfect ending to the series.

Lexi Davis delivers an emotional rollercoaster in *Deeply Examined 3*, the final chapter of Dr. Adam West and Jessica’s intense, all consuming love story. This book is packed with passion, suspense, and the kind of angst that keeps you flipping pages late into the night.

Dr. Adam West is the definition of an obsessive, morally gray anti-hero. His love for Jessica borders on possessive, and his past traumas only fuel his need to control and protect her at all costs. On the other hand, Jessica is his perfect counterpart strong, resilient, and unwilling to be consumed by his darkness. She stands her ground, proving time and again that she won’t break, no matter how much havoc Adam’s obsession brings into their lives.

Davis masterfully keeps the tension sky-high throughout the trilogy, peeling back the layers of Adam’s past and showing how deeply trauma can shape a person. But at its heart, this is a love story that proves when you truly love someone, you accept every broken piece of them. However, the book doesn’t shy away from showing the darker side of obsession how it can delay, even destroy, a relationship if there’s no real communication.

One of the most satisfying moments is seeing Adam, who has always resisted vulnerability, finally submit to his feelings, to Jessica, and even to his own name. He’s always despised using his first name, Adam, but by the end, he owns it. His transformation is one of the most powerful aspects of the book, proving that love has the power to heal, even the most damaged souls.

And just when you think you might finally get a breather, Davis leaves us hanging again this time setting up a new story, this time for Adam’s friend. It’s a perfect way to keep readers hooked and craving more from this world she’s created.

Overall, *Deeply Examined 3* is an intense, emotional, and unforgettable finale. It explores love, trauma, obsession, and redemption in a way that lingers long after the last page. If you’re a fan of dark, deeply emotional romances, this book (and the entire series) is a must-read.

What a way to close out the series! Book 3 is short and spicy, and it hits all the emotional notes. I loved the development throughout the series, and how Book 3 provided the emotional closure it needed. Jessica grew so much from the first installment. There's so much to say about the series as a whole, but I don’t want to give anything away.

I really enjoyed the dark and twisted character of Adam and his background. I struggled with the urge to be repulsed by him, yet I felt a deep compassion for his character. I fell for Dr. West just like Jessica did. I appreciated that this book centered around trust and growth for them as a couple.

Please check out the entire series, they're quick reads with a top-notch spice level. Just be sure to read the warnings, your mental health matters.

I knew that I really wanted some uninterrupted time to just enjoy the ending to Adam and Jessica’s story. Unfortunately it took me a little while to find that. I’m glad I waited! I could not be pulled away from it if anyone had even tried.
I held my breath several times throughout. I wanted to scream at both of them a few times as well. But mostly I hung on, hoping they would figure it out! (And that somehow Kent Wilson would magically disappear).
Once again Lexi - thank you!

Deeply Examined part 3 did not disappoint! I loved it! I was already completely invested in what was going to happen between Jessica (FMC) and Adam (MMC) thanks to parts 1 & 2. The spice is off the charts but doesn’t detract from the main story. I liked the feeling of unease that is threaded through the story (particularly from Jessica’s boss and the homeless man) which adds to the tension when Jessica learns the truth about Adam. I am looking forward to re-reading the whole story once the omnibus is put together!

Book three was definitely more raw and emotional than the other ones. Questions that have come up since the beginning were able to be answered. Adam and Jessica had such development throughout the series. Book 3 provided the answers and closure that was needed.

I did enjoy the dark and twisted parts of Adam’s character. He had a lot of trauma from his childhood and has carried that with him.

“I used to think I had no heart, but that’s not the case. I do have one, but it’s in your chest. You hold my heart. You’re out there walking around, getting into danger, being reckless with my heart. I can’t tolerate the thought of something bad happening to you. The only thing that makes it bearable is always knowing where you are, that you’re safe. It’s the only thing that brings me peace.”

Where do I even start with this one?

Book three was quite a rocky read. It was raw, emotional, and so many more things I don’t have words for yet. Why did Adam do the things he did? How is Jessica going to react when she understands the reality she’s been kept away from all this time? All these questions are answered in this book, and it’s not a smooth “and they lived happily ever after”, and trust me when I say this story is going to break you apart and put the pieces back together again.

I relate so damn much to Adam, and Deeply Examined has grown to become a sort of comfort read for me, because I know I’m not alone in this, I know I’m not broken for feeling the way I feel when I’m in a relationship. When I signed up for this book, I just took it as any other dark romance, but I’d be lying if I said that’s all this book is to me. I’m guilty of being attached to Jessica’s and Adam’s story.

A huge thanks to the author Lexi Davis, and Hayling Bookstorm, for the opportunity to be an early reviewer. It was truly an honor, and I’m so glad I came across you guys and this amazing book. Lots of love.

Part 3 definitely kept my interest. I am glad we found out more information about Adam and why he is how he is. However, I still am not a fan of his. I also understand this book is a retelling of beauty and the beast which Is cool. I got an arc but my review is unbiased

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for book 3 in the Deeply Examined series, a collection of short stories.

The last part really put everything together. We got to see a completely different side from Dr. West. Again, it is very spicy and you should definitely read the trigger warnings. While Dr. West is very morally ambiguous, Lexi Davis did a great job making you feel empathy towards him.

I was really happy to be following along Adam and Jessica's story and although I'm a little sad it has come to an end, I feel like everything came together really well.

The final chapter to this wonderful Dark Medical Romance which continues on from where Book 2 left off. What will Jessica find behind the door to the room that Adam has been keeping secret from her?

When Jessica enters the room she is initially she is alarmed by what she sees, even more so when she pulls away the curtain and discovers what is behind it. But rather than being repulsed and stepping away she is intrigued, and through Adam's reassurance she discovers herself going on a journey where she starts seeing herself in a way she didn't think was possible. Jessica knows the world she is stepping into is dark, but she finds she likes it, as it is so different to what she is used to, and knows that Adam would not hurt her in anyway. He is there to look after her, or so she thinks, until she discovers that he has done something which is truly unacceptable leaves her horrifies and devastates and therefore means she has to leave him.

Adam can't believe that the missing pieces are finally falling into place with Jessica happy to be a part of his world. He finds himself opening up more to her and the people around him about his past and the traumas he has experienced, but when Jessica finds out who he actually is and that he has gone to far to keep her safe, she is devastated and it destroys everything between them, which sends Adam into a spiral.

He knows he has done wrong, and but he needs Jessica to be in his life and although it will be hard to change because of the things that have happened in the past, he needs to open up in order to win her back and have her forever. But will it be enough?

Although this is a dark romance, it does have it lighter moments and I have loved getting to know Jessica and also the many dark secrets of Adam West and what he has been doing to keep Jessica safe, even though at times it is rather dark.

The ending is perfect for this book and leaves you knowing that although this is the end of Jessica and Adam's story, there is another story to tell and I cannot wait to see what Lexi Davis has in store for us next 🥰

I have really enjoyed being a part of the ARC Team for this series.

What would you do for love? Is feeling safe enough? He’s at every turn… He’s watching… He’s shown you his secrets, and you’ve broken his protective barrier. Now you are HIS. Do you need to say your “safe word” or will you follow your heart and stay? Deeply Examined 3 by @authorlexidavis kept my eyes skimming the pages frantically waiting to see what happens. Perhaps I read it too quickly, but I needed to know. The connection and heat in this book is 100%. This book is not just passion on top of passion, but has a beautiful storyline also. You read about the road blocks and struggle of two people who care for each other. The school presentation did my heart in. And after reading the last chapter, I am hoping for a Book 4.

I feel so special that I got to watch this book come together and share my vast knowledge of dark romance haha. I got to alpha/beta/ARC reading for the amazing @ and I enjoyed every second of it!! This id book 3 in the series and a complete collection version is also coming out!

Jessica
Jessica has changed a lot since book 1. She now is not afraid to voice her wants and feels more comfortable in her own skin. She's still so understanding and caring and truly accepts West for who he is. Please don't mistake her submissive as weak and manipulive. She's a loving elementary school teacher who gives her all in everything she does.

Adam
He shares himself with her on a level he's never let someone else come close to. It went from secret revenge/obsession on the popular girl from high school to falling in love with the women she is now. He starts learning to heal the parts of himself that were damaged by his past. Don't worry though he is still possessive, obsessive touch her and 🗡 energy.

I loved all the subtle details and sighs of weakness on both people. They truly learn to love and grow off of eachother. It's very much a mutual healing and growth. Give and take situation. Neither of them truly over powers the other.

The room absolutely had me shocked and I loved every second of it. The principal was the absolute worst which was also accurate since most principals are frustrating to work with.

The dark romance aspects and the attention to detail were absolutely perfection. Every little thing from the slightly lit up alleyways to the news alert at the end. I loved it so much.

This is a dark romance but it's more of an entry level so if you've ever been curious then you should absolutely give this book a read. I truly loved the development of not only the plot but the characters themselves.

Lexi did an absolutely amazing job with this one.

Following in the same style as books one and two, Deeply Examined III is a short, spicy read that takes readers for a ride! A ride consisting of raw emotion, delicious spice, and tension filled drama that ties all three books together with an ending you have to read.

Adam continues to reveal parts of him that make you love him even more, even though you question if you should or not. I truly do love that he embraces everything he is and does not unapologetically. His character comes full circle in this final installment and he is worth sticking around for. The growth that he does as a person and for Jessica truly does show the depth of much he feels for her.

Jessica also does some wonderful growing in this series. Becoming more vocal about her needs and wants with Adam and not allowing herself to be walked all over. Each book leaves her learning more and more about Adam and this final book might hold the best reveals. The way she cares for Adam, but doesn’t necessarily enable him shows the strength of her character as well.

Lexi Davis has delivered a wonderful series of 3 books to give us a complete story. A story that is worth the read! I am excited that she decided to release the books in an omnibus so everything is in one book. I can’t wait for this! I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole.

As always, review any author notes before reading.

This is my third book by Lexi Davis and this is my honest review.

If this is your first time reading my reviews,
I like to read 5 chapters and review and repeat the process until I finish the book, but not with this book,I read straight through.

I also like to have pictures in my head of the characters
(yes I know sometimes they are on the covers),
but it's easier for me when I am reading the book.
I use actors/actress',Broadway actors/actress' and wrestlers.

With that said
Dr.Adam West I see as : Damian Priest(WWE)
Jessica Jones I see as : Ashley Benson(Pretty Little Liars)
Kent Wilson I see as : Michael Winters(Gilmore Girls)
Monica I see as : Laura Osnes (One Royal Holiday)
Patrick I see as: Chad Duell(General Hospital)
Brad I see as: Sami Zayn(WWE)

Chapters 1-8

We finally get to see what is behind the door and wow I couldn't believe it. There is a reference that Jessica says that had me snort laugh.
There are Sooooooo many heart rate rising moments and I love it. You may not be able to look at a thermometer the same again though.

Chapters 4-7 will have you on the edge of your seat, crying and cheering . Lexi come on with the cliffhangers OMG!.
Will there be a surprise in the next book?
Do we see a new couple forming?

Such a perfect ending to the story of Jessica and Adam! Just as in the other two parts of Deeply Examined, there was so much electrifying chemistry between our main characters, tons of heated banter and tension, and so, so much swoon worthy spice. Something that was prevalent in this part that I loved was all of the raw and heartfelt emotion that was present throughout.

West fully breaks down all of his ironclad walls and opens his securely guarded heart, bearing all to Jessica. It was so touching to witness brooding and scarred West, with the love and devotion of Jessica, reclaim being Adam again. While Jess and Adam do encounter some pretty big hiccups and obstacles in their relationship which result in breaking up a few times, the adoration and deep bond they share was always still there.

This was a story full of profound emotion, healing from deep wounds, so much passion, profound love and connection, and loads of sizzling spice. Lexi has truly once again perfectly blended dark themes, hot romance, suspense, and characters full of depth who are beyond well written into one incredible story. This book is a must read! There will be an omnibus coming of all three parts, so stay tuned for that.

Part 3 releases on March 18th!

A huge thank you to Lexi and Hayley for the opportunity to read and review this book! 🤍 All opinions are my own.

I have said in book 1, I have said in book 2 and I am saying it for book 3 😍 I am OBSESSED for Dr.west
.
Dr. West is the Best ✨✨
.
We love morally grey characters because they are extremely loyal, immensely concerned and very very protective 🫶🏼
.
Dr.West is so whipped and fallen hard for Jessica that there is no coming back from it. He would go to any lengths to be with her, to know that she is safe and would do anything to protect her. It's his way of showing love 💖 the trauma he went through and the childhood nightmares he faced made me soften amd fall a little hard for his character 💕
.
I love Jessica, she never questioned but always stood beside him and let him grow the trust between them for him to share his past by himself. She always wanted supported him and been there for him. She is not so week lame character but a strong sane person, who stood for herself. She loved him, supported him but also questioned him when he did wrong 🤩 She is a soft and kind hearted person and has a lot of empathy and love for Dr.west. I love her so much ❤️
.
If you love a medical dark romance with morally grey characters then you should definitely pick this book. Also check the trigger warnings before you start the book 🫶🏼

"Deeply Examined III" is a spicy, fast-paced dark romance that pulls you in from the first page and doesn't let go. It's filled with steamy, blush-worthy scenes that will leave you so definitely read the warnings before diving in! But there's much more to this story than just spice.

The plot is gripping and full of twists that keep you on your toes. It takes you into a world of forbidden desires and fantasy, making you forget reality for a while. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts-especially that school nurse office scene, which was absolutely on fire.

What really surprised me was how emotional the story got. The relationship between the main characters was raw, honest, and so beautifully written. Their connection felt real and heartfelt, which added so much depth to the story. I loved watching them grow and support each other through everything.

The author did an amazing job with the ending-so many questions were answered, and it all wrapped up perfectly. Some moments truly hit me in the feels. It's not your usual dark romance; it's bolder, deeper, and so much more emotional.

If you enjoy steamy reads with real emotion, strong chemistry, and a touch of danger, Deeply Examined is one book you won't want to miss.

In this third part of this story we see West's secrets being discovered (some willingly and others are forced), and we se so many changes in their dynamic.
They evolve into the next level of their relationship, and love is blooming. Jessica starts to gain some trust and confidence.  West's love not only only makes her feel complete but also boosts her confidence at all times.

But then all hell breaks loose, when some bad secrets are discovered. How could he do those things, and how can she even begin to think of forgiveness? She should run away, right? Then why dosn't she? We see ourselves at times wondering this same questions in Jessica's poin of view, but in other times... we see ourselves rooting for flawed, dominant, staker West. Can we like him even though he is not exactly good? Hell, yes! I was actually team West all the time. Maybe that makes me morally grey too 🤭

Just as in the previous books we have all the goody spice and some kinks are in play!

It was a good ending to this 3 part novel, and it also gave us a sneek peak into the next one and the next characters. I'll be waiting for those next stories!

ARC Review

Deeply Examined book three picks up right where book two left off. Jessica finally sees what is behind the locked door. At first, she is shocked but becomes intrigued the more she looks around. Just as her relationship Adam is blossoming and they are in a great place, a truth bomb gets throw Jessica’s way. She feels betrayed and heartbroken. She can’t help but wonder if everything was a lie.
This was not how Adam wanted Jessica to learn the truth about where he knows her from. But his former high school bully and Jessica’s current boss couldn’t keep quiet. Adam tries to explain but she’s not having any of it. Matters only get worse when she finds out he did to her.
Adam cannot and will not live without Jessica in his life. He’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she is by his side.

This book was a wild ride. First we saw what else was behind the locked door. Then the reveals just kept coming. Adam was something else lol. I was shocked at what he did to Jessica. As I was reading, I was thinking “you’re going too far”, “you’re going to lose her.” And just when I thought he learned his lesson, he did it again but in a different way. I did like how he brought out a different side of Jessica. She became more confident and was able to express what she wanted more easily. I was also happy that Adam opened up more about his childhood to Jessica, so she was able to understand him better. Even though I do not condone what he did and how he acted in some parts at all, I was still happy they ended up together in the end!

Thank you Lexi Davis and Hayling Bookstorm Ltd for the ARC!

This is the last part to Deeply Examined and it was the perfect wrap-up.

After the cliffhanger in book two, I was super excited to start this one and it didn’t disappoint. We get some pretty big surprises and twists that I wasn’t expecting. Secrets come to light and Adam and Jessica need to make decisions about their relationship.

I was really proud of Jessica in this book. Over the course of the three books, she’s become more confident. She’s outspoken and sticks up for herself, which she does a lot in this book. We learn a lot more about Adam and his past and it is truly heartbreaking. A lot of the things mentioned in previous books all come together and his actions make sense, although they may not always be the right thing to do.

In the end, this book wrapped everything up very nicely and I loved it! I would definitely recommend this if you’ve read the previous two. It will also be available as one complete book soon! If you do plan on reading, please check all trigger warnings ahead of time.

Thank you Lexi Davis and Haylingbookstormltd for the ARC.

I don’t think I’m going to finish the series because you know I would get to a certain part and there would be a little blurb from the author with a QR code and a link and I’d be like oh even though it says I’m only 80% done of the book I’m like is that it is that the end? When I was finally reading, I think it was the third novel or maybe it was the second one where she said, subscribe to her newsletter and have an extra chapter about the second time in his room because it was too hot to put in the novel actually got me really irritated because I felt like it completely pulled me out of the storyand the fact that it happened new times throughout at least two of the first parts and I’m thinking maybe the third part and I got halfway through the third part and I’m like I’m just not connecting to either of the characters. I just feel like it just confuses the reader at least it confuse me and it completely pulled me out of the story to the point where I couldn’t get back into it so I think not a very good decision to the author to do that.

✨ Book Review: Deeply Examined (Final Part) ✨

This is the last part of Deeply Examined, and I have to say—I loved every single part of this book! 📖💖 I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy just to experience it all over again.

One of the things I adore about this series is how seamlessly each book picks up right where the last one ended, making it feel like an immersive, continuous journey. This final part may have toned down the spice, but honestly, I didn’t mind at all. Instead, it focused more deeply on them, and that emotional depth made me fall even more in love.

There were moments that made me laugh and others that shattered my heart 💔, but through it all, I was completely hooked. I enjoyed it so much that I’m already planning a full re-read of the entire series! If you haven’t started Deeply Examined yet, trust me—you need this in your life! ✨📚

I absolutely loved 'Deeply Examined' book 3, the final installment in the series. The book tied up loose ends and provided a satisfying conclusion to the story. I admired the strong and forgiving protagonist, Jessica, who compromised and loved unconditionally.

The romance was intense, with a delightful plot twist on how West had harbored feelings for her since highschool days. Gah! I love it when they do this!!! I appreciate the emotional payoff and LOVED the guy's all-consuming obsession with Jessica.

I love reading men in love being all obsessed and cute with their girls. Like they should.

However, I must note that the book contains trigger warnings for stalking, obsessive behavior, and dark romance themes. The series also explores mature topics, including explicit content.

Overall, I was invested in the story and characters, and I appreciated the author's ability to create a compelling narrative.

Deeply Examined (Book 3) takes the tension, spice, and emotional chaos from the first two books and cranks it up to a whole new level. Dr. Adam West’s secrets finally come to light, and trust me—it’s not a smooth ride for him and Jessica. As their relationship deepens, their love is tested in ways neither of them expected.

Adam’s morally gray decisions had me questioning everything… but somehow, I couldn’t stop rooting for him. Jessica’s growth was equally captivating—she steps into her strength and refuses to be just a passive observer in their love story. The emotional rollercoaster will leave you breathless, torn between wanting to scream at them and hugging them both.

✨ If you’re into:
💉 Dark Medical Romance
🖤 Morally Gray Anti-Heroes
🔥 Intense Spice + Obsession
💔 Emotional Angst with Redemption

Then this conclusion to Adam and Jessica’s story is a MUST-READ! The raw vulnerability, the twisted love, and the ultimate HEA make it worth the ride.

♡Amazing Series Ending♡

What a great way to end this story! I loved following these characters and seeing the tremendous amount of growth they displayed 🙌😍 Deeply Examined is so good and filled with some incredible spice, which is always a plus🔥😈

The author did an incredible job with the conclusion of this story. We got so many questions answered throughout, and my goodness, some of the parts were so emotional 🥹🥹 I truly loved the relationship our main characters formed along the way, and I'll definitely be re-reading this in the future! The emotions and the relationship were so raw and relatable at times, it's honestly such a different take on dark romance, and I enjoyed it so much!

ARC provided from the author and @haylingbookstorm for an honest review

I love how the author seamlessly continues where book two left off to start book three.

Jessica learns what's behind the lock door West has kept locked since she's been living with him. It wasn't what she was expecting, but does learn about West's desires.

In the final book we learn more about West and Jessica learns the truth how West knows her. My heart broke of what happened to West when he was growing up and how hard it was for him to open up about it. It was hard for Jessica to listen to what happened to West, but it gave her a better understanding of who and why West is the way he is. I loved with this final book Jessica found her her voice and how understanding she is.

I loved reading this and loved how things came together for Jessica and West.

I was close to guessing what was behind that door. I just wasn’t expecting it to be that. This one ends with a HEA. But it definitely pulls at your heart strings. Was what West did not okay? Yes, but to me it was not a deal breaker. But once I learned more about his past, I understood why did it. I cried for him. I get why Jessica felt the way she did though at the same time.
But I kept telling her to listen to him. Let him explain.. I was not ready for this story to end. I wanted to know how the future went, marriage, family and so on. But it truly was a great read.

I was part of Lexi’s team for two parts of this book, but read the first one. Lexi has a beautiful heart, she is very good at communicating. She has been very patient and understanding when it comes to the issues I’m dealing with. Thank you Lexi for giving me this opportunity to be part of your team.

I thought this will be the last book of the series, it had more pages than the first two.

This one is a little better, but I’m still sticking with a solid three stars for this. I would definitely suggest to read the the first 2 books before jumping into this one, because this book started where book 2 left off.

The story itself was actually pretty good and it’s a little tense. I would say the smut scenes were straight up ideas from p*rn. Some of them were cringe and questionable.

The main characters got a little annoying around 70% as it got a little dramatic on their part. Also, I just wished the minor characters have contributing perspective on the two main characters.

This book is definitely a start up for the author and I’m quite impressed about the story, it does need some work but I could tell that there are more rooms for improvements.
