When someone leaves a key inside Private Investigator Riley MacLeod's screen door during the night with a warning to keep it safe, she faces the questions: Who? Why? When her house is ransacked, she, her co-worker Greyson Chadwick and brothers Deckard and Christian set out to find out what is going on. A friend hires Riley and Grayson to go undercover to a private spa where Kelly was last seen to start their search for her. Pretending to be lovers reveals their actual feelings for one another. As workers stalk them, Greyson and Riley's search widens to encompass their demons from their pasts and an infamous con man.
Riley and Greyson's love story moves at a fast pace with lots of danger and suspense. Their characters grow and deepen as their love grows. Pettrey utilizes the backstory to enrich the plot. You can read this as a stand-alone, but I suggest reading book 1 first for a better understanding of Riley's background.

This is a rapid paced and danger filled book! The characters are brave, smart and engaging! I enjoyed watching the characters apply their faith to the situations in their lives.
