Kelsey is married, and Killer needs to get away from her before he does something he might regret. Losing himself in a drunken night is not the answer, especially when he can’t stop loving her just because she’s off-limits. He confronts Kels to get all the details.
Her world is crashing around her. Everywhere she turns, she feels trapped. Panicking, Kelsey takes matters into her own hands. She would have succeeded, but Killer saves her, acting quickly.
Never before in all of his life has Killer been scared, and he’s even taken lives with his very hands. But seeing Kelsey’s on the brink of death, he knows he has to do something to protect her from the man who calls himself her husband.
It’s a race against time for Killer to protect his woman, as her husband is not all he seems to be. He’s got enemies who are looking for any way to hurt him. Will The Skulls be there for Killer, or will he face his enemies alone in order to protect the woman he loves?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
This book was part of the Skulls series written by Sam Crescent. It is Book #5, and it is about one of my favorite MC members; Killer. Killer has had a major attraction to Kelsey in the last few books, in fact he pretty much thinks of her as his woman already. A shock is thrown his way when he finds out Kelsey is in fact married..Killer is devastated and extremely ticked off, and he very quickly goes out and does some things will grow to regret.
In the meantime, Kelsey is furious with herself for not telling Killer about her husband. She doesn't know what to do about her life, and even worse is the fact that her hubby; Michael is hanging around after being absent for years...He seems to have secrets surrounding him, and there is definitely more than meets the eye with him. Kelsey ends up making a HUGE mistake, that will change everything, and everyone's lives. Can she undo what she brought forth? Will her and Killer have a chance to be together? Or will Michael end up claiming the wife he never seem to want?
This installment was one of my favorites. There was so much going on in the story, and it was a unique storyline as well. We also get the pleasure of revisiting some of our favorite Skull members and their wives! Tate plays a big role in this book, mainly because she is very good friends with Kelsey..and I loved how she still has a take control attitude!! The sex is HOT! I didn't expect any less though, because Killer is as Alpha male as they come! There is just something I love about a guy who takes control of his woman, and becomes very possessive over her..*sigh*..He just knows how to bring it in the bedroom! Or against the wall...or in the kitchen...LOL..you get the idea! He also is big on dirty talk, and he is extra dirty believe me!
I rate this book a 4.5 stars, and the reason for the half mark gone is the editing issues. There were more than a few mistakes with spelling, or grammar. Normally if there are two or three, I can just ignore it; but in this case there were more than a few hand fulls, so I felt that this time around I should acknowledge that they were there. I still love Sam Crescents work though, and I am still on board for her next book; which is to be about Zero! All in all, I love my biker dudes, and the woman that they have all claimed! This is one of my favorite biker series and I'm glad that I was able to find it!!!
I was anxiously awaiting Killer's book and Sam Crescent delivered a great follow up in her MC Skulls series. This is Kelsey's and Killer's story. At the end of Tiny, we get a shocking turn of event from Kelsey's past, her husband ,Micheal makes an appearance and Killer is stunned to say the least! So,I am wondering, how in the hell is the author going to pull this off...well,pull it off she did. After this turn of event,Killer is broken hearted, how could the woman he loves,be married to another man.He decides to go out, get drunk, and f..k a woman But,Killer's conscience gets the better of him and he feels ashamed about his actions ,how could he have betrayed the only woman he has ever loved. Kelsey is dealing with her own demons, with the appearance of her " paper marriage" husband, her reasons for her marriage comes crashing back to her.The memories of her childhood, her mother's cruelty ,constantly calling her fat ,ugly, and unworthy, plus Killer's confession of sex with another woman becomes too much.Kelsey decides there is only one way out. To say I was shocked at what she did is an understatement. There was the old gang appearances which I enjoyed. The story of Zero's obsession with Sophia had me intrigued, but, Killer had asked him if he was in love with her ,and he said he did not know,so this leads me to believe that Prue, might be his hea.His background,or lack of intrigued me to wanting his book. This read turned out to be my favorite book of the series so far and the series keeps on getting better and better .
Hot and dirty. Loved this couple. Hero was alpha and sexy and heroine was a sweetheart just the way I like them. However hero slept with another woman and heroine is married to another man on paper only so not everyone will like this book. Glad it had an epilogue and we find out they have a baby boy.
First: This is not a standalone. Read the books in order of how the author suggests (not based on series order) to understand what's going on.
Killer (hot biker) met Kelsey (virgin, dental nurse) way back when Tate and Murphy’s story was told. He had an instant attraction to her but she refused to take things any further, always keeping him at arm’s length. At the end of the last book, he went to see her and discovered that she was married to Michael. He was so pissed and hurt that he went out and got drunk and f*cked a stripper. That’s not good form, man!!! Everyone at the club now hates Kelsey and called her a tease and cursed her for leading Killer on. That part doesn’t make sense because she’s always pushed him away. So there’s a reason why Kelsey married that man, and there’s a reason she hasn’t divorced him. She gets depressed and tries to trigger warning . There’s some disputes with the bad guys and stuff. Eventually they get to a HEA.
First time I read it, I rated it a 4. I kinda feel I need to lower it now. There’s not nearly as much sex as there is in the other books. Maybe the book just didn’t work for me on a 2nd read. Regardless, I still love Killer. The epilogue is actually about Zero. He continues his obsession with Sophia until someone named Prue shows up in town.
Series and author info.
As I’ve said before, this series is full of typos, some timeline inconsistencies, and outright changes to the actual story, mid story. The books themselves aren’t even that well written. That said – it’s still one of my favorite series. I love the characters – I’m not sure why – but I just do.
For an author who has published many novels you would expect a lot better. Timeframe does match at times. Bad grammar. Short. Paid over $6 (aus)'dollars. Save your money and time. Returned this for a refund.
I felt something lacking in Killer and Kelsey's relationship. Maybe I missed Killer actually courting her(it's been awhile since I read Tiny) so I can't remember how they hooked up. Tate seems pretty involved in their relationship, considering her and Kelsey are bffs.Killer doesn't seem to like Tate(no idea why). She doesn't take anyone's crapola, and won't let Killer hurt her friend. Kelsey has some tstl moments though. Why not tell Killer about her parents or Michael? Did she really think no one in the club would find out?How naive could you be to marry without reading the prenup, and expecting your husband to stay away from you? That whole "marriage of convenience" just wasn't believable to me. Her parents treated her badly-yes, always berating her so why in the world would she sacrifice anything to help them? Yes she does get to keep living in family house, but I'm sure if she told Tate, she would have helped her. Kelsey does get pretty desperate, trying to rid herself of all the pain she has caused by lying, but I thought of it more as a cry for help. Thank goodness Killer felt something wasn't right, and that Sandy is observant enough to see Kelsey was in a lot of pain. Without them, Kelsey would be gone. Killer is very honest about who he is, putting his feelings out there so Kelsey has no doubt about his love for her. Killer is very sweet especially when Kelsey is in the hospital. He manages to whisk her away keeping her safe and pulling them closer. He claims her as his woman, his wife, and his HEA.
It was revealed at the end of the last book that Kelsey was married and had been for ten years. Killer was devastated, and while I did see where he was coming from, I also recall if memory serves Kelsey telling him in previous books that they could never be together, so strictly speaking they weren't in a relationship, it was more hoping on Killer's part. So she hadn't really betrayed him in quite the way that it was portrayed in this book IMO.
But this is a fast moving story with plenty of twists and turns to the plot. There's plenty of hot sex scenes as well. All the other regular characters make an appearance which is always nice. I'm hoping that Zero's story is next. This is a series that I'm really enjoying, what's not to like, hot sexy bikers. Tiny's book still remains my personal favourite.
Book 5 in the Skull's series. This is a very powerful book. Putting aside all that is going on with the club, Kelsey is at a low point in her life. How she views herself and what is going on in her life is so well written and thought out. Killer loves Kelsey and would do anything to keep her safe, but when a man turns up calling her his wife, all Killer can see is the lie's she has been telling him. Not having seen her "husband" since they were married, Kelsey is shocked and hurt by what she has done to hurt Killer. More than just the past is being brought to the surface. Danger is not far away. Kelsey needs Killer. Can he forgive her? Wow Sam Crescent you really know how to pull on the heart strings.
Not bad. Less action packed then the rest of the series. This one focuses more on the protagonists and their drama and less on external conflicts. To be expected since the series on going arc was resolved in Tiny. I liked Killer and Kelsey even though Kelsey reminded me of Angel who I'm not a fan of.
It's getting to a point where all SC characters seem to be the same. I've started wondering if she could write a book where the Heroine wasn't a virgin and didn't have image issues and the Hero wasn't a caveman, who acts like a gangster but behaves like a whinnying ass.
Killer and Kelsey's story was awesome! I am so glad they were able to fixed that little Michael problem ;) I am a little annoyed by Zero but I know that his story is soon. Can't wait!
Rubbish. Another cheater, another stupid female accepting his cheating & even feeling she deserves it. Are you kidding me? This whole series is an embarrassment to women.
Killer - The Skulls MC - Book 5 - By - Sam Crescent
This is the fifth book in The Skulls MC series and it is so exciting. The twists and turns within every book keep getting better and better. This story features around Killer and Kelsey who we have met in previous stories but now finally get their own well deserved happily ever after. Theodore "Killer" smith was previously part of The Lions MC, a vicious group who thankfully got destroyed by the Skulls. They forced him to live upto his name and commit despicable acts but his life has now changed for the better. He has become a part of The Skulls MC. Even though their life is still fraught with danger he now has a family, a true band of brothers who have his back always. Killer has been growing closer to Kelsey for some time, they love each other deeply, but she has a secret from her past he doesn't know about, when it comes to light it could destroy them both. Kelsey is beautiful inside and out, our shy dental nurse is an innocent in so many ways but what she feels for Killer is far from innocent. So when Michael Granito comes to call Kelsey finds herself in a situation she feels she can't escape from. This story was everything I hopped for and more! Kelsey is so beautiful and sweet and I love the fact our female lead is a plus size woman. She deals with so many wounds old and new but still fights for her man, she shows many emotions which add to her character. Killer is everything I wanted and one of my faves. His reaction to the secret giving him one of his own was not his finest hour but he took responsibility. He loves Kelsey with his whole being. The love, passion and tenderness he shows to only her is a thing of beauty and also scorching hot! It was also enjoyable catching up with other characters old and new. Tate being Tate, Zero is heading for disaster bless him, Poor Angel is all I'm saying and Sandy and Stink something has to come from those two surely! Overall wow just wow. There is so much still to come I am excited and cannot wait that is for sure! Happy Reading. 5 out of 5 stars.
Killer and Kelsey are probably my favorite couple of the Skulls crew. Throughout the previous books since Killer met Kelsey, he's made it his mission to get to know the woman and make his intentions known that he wants her. However, Kelsey has made sure to tell Killer they could never be together without fully explaining the reasons they couldn't be together. At the end of Tiny's book we finally discover that Kelsey is married and has been for the last 10 years.
When things get too stressful for Kelsey to handle and she can see no way to live a happy life, she decides to make a life-altering decision. The first she has fully been able to make on her own without fear from her family or husband.
When Killer is faced with the fact of having to live a life without the woman he loves, he will do whatever it takes to free her from a love-less marriage. After all, Michael only wants Kelsey because she opened doors to his inheritance. Will Kelsey and Killer finally be able to start their relationship off without the threat of another man in the picture? Are the Skulls finally realizing that with each woman that comes into the picture the more trouble that follows for the MC?
Killer is book five in the skulls series and is Killer and Kelsey’s story. Since Murphy and Tate’s story we got to see a build of chemistry between Kelsey and Killer. Throughout the previous books we got little glimpses of them. I enjoyed this book, devoured it in one sitting and was left happy with the ending. I liked Kelsey but I was slightly annoyed at her for keeping secrets from Killer. My heart hurt for Kelsey, I just wanted her to be happy. The chemistry between her and Killer was clear to see. I liked that their love wasn’t perfect. They did have their struggles but worked so hard to overcome them. I liked Killer and Kelsey as a couple and was rooting for them to get their happily ever after. I hated Michael and wanted him to disappear. The only thing that made him slightly redeem himself is telling the skulls the truth in order to save Kelsey and Killer. I cannot wait to read more books from this series. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
I was so looking forward to this one! But.......I found myself continually frustrated with everyone while reading it. Especailly everyone in the club!! How dare they judge her without knowing the situation?!? I never blamed Kelsey for keeping the secrets that she did. There was nothing official between her and Killer and in fact it was mentioned that he'd been friend zoned at one point. As much as he had feelings for her, I felt like he never truly tried to get to know her as a person as opposed to just someone her wanted to sleep with. Surprisingly, I didn't blame Killer for what he did when he went out drinking with the guys because people do frigged up shit when they're angry and the fact that he felt so much guilt kinda redeemed him in my eyes. My heart broke for what Kelsey went through and her bad decisions that almost ruined everything. Anyone that has struggled with any of those feelings would know what she was going through.
Killer aka Theo has wanted Kelsey since he first laid eyes on her. But he wasn’t too happy to see that she is married. What kind of game is she playing? Well it turns out Kelsey didn’t tell Tate everything about her family. Her “husband” isn’t all he says he is. There is a lot about him that no one knows but when the Skulls start digging, things are a lot worse. Once Killer gets his head out of his butt and gets straightened out by Tate, he is a man on a mission. NO ONE is taking his girl. Kelsey on the other hand, that poor girl has so much going on. She is being torn apart. What she did made me cry. I was heart broken but things turned around. You could tell that the love Killer had was for real. These two were hot and heavy once Killer and Kelsey finally got together. Her “husband” was scum and deserved his fate but Kelsey didn’t. Plus at the end of the book we get a taste of what is to come for Zero.
More from The Skulls!!! This time it is Killer (Skulls member, can and has killed before, totally in love in Kelsey) and Kelsey's (Innocent, dental nurse, BFF to Tate) story that is being told. In our last book, Tiny, the shocker was that Kelsey was married when her rich husband, Michael, shows up at Kelsey's apartment. No one knew that Kelsey had a husband, including Killer, and he is devastated. Michael came back to 'claim' his wife and Killer and The Skulls were not having any of it. This sets the stage for the drama.
Killer was an excellent anti-hero! He was tough, sweet, honest and was head over heels in love with Kelsey. Kelsey was so sweet and innocent. At first I did not think she could handle being a part of the motorcycle club, and during one point in the story, she proved me right. She totally caved under the pressure. Although she was not as strong as the other Old Ladies, she seemed to be the perfect fit for Killer. Killer and Kelsey, when they finally got together...turn on the air conditioner because things got smokin' hot!!! I mean mind-blowing.
This is one of my favorite biker series because it is raw and edgy. Looks like Zero's story is next and I can't wait to read it. Plug: Alex...I still want to know more about him and hope Sam Crescent gives him his own book!!!
Why Not 5 Stars?
In EACH of the previous books, the final drama/action was so intense, raw and extreme. I mean on the edge of your seat drama. In Killer this was not the case. The final drama/action scene was short and not very eventful. It also seemed like Killer was not really a 'killer'. It would have rocked . I'm just sayin'.
Initially, the marriage drama was interesting. However, when Michael started wanting was a stretch and not believable. There was no reason for him to act this way or for Kelsey to bend to his will. I also wondered why Kelsey never told Michael that she was in love with Killer. And what was up with . *Boo...Hiss**
2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kelsey is such a sweet soul, be ready for tears!! Killer, even though her protector, he was her biggest hurt, especially when he told her he went to drown his c*ck in women that he even brought back to the clubhouse 🤢🤮 yuck!! Drama big time, sorrow, love, and eventually the MC pulls together to protect their own🖤🩶🩵🩶🖤 (sept) (Nov)📚ok, so I purchased it in paperback since books are just disappearing from my iPad☹️🧐, I keeps forever now..lol, 🩵 it’s funny, while reading the paperback I noticed how many times and easily Killer admitted he LOVES Kelsey🩵🩵🩵
2024: This is one of my favourites ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I don’t really know why; but I’ve re-read it a few times over the years. Loving the series 💋 Kelsey Is such a sweet gal, sucky circumstances, inner demons that need to be told to shut-the-hell-up!!! Killer craved and loves her simple innocence, but goes all angry-hulk when her “hubby” shows up, and he goes to drown his sorrows with purpose of screwing other women 🙄, and he actually tells her the truth the next day… at least he’s honest 😶 then soooooooooo much drama, they work on their relationship while in hiding, and the MC has to deal with more bad guys!!!

3.5 Stars I wasn't expecting Killer to be the big sweet teddy bear type of guy, I mean his club name is Killer, but he was...sweet that is. He really did care and love Kelsey and I think that's why he was so hurt when he found out about her marriage and proceeded to storm off, get drunk and screw the night away...typical guy reaction right?
Now, with that being said I really don't think that it was any body's fucking business if she was married or not. She wasn't part of the club and she tried her best to keep Killer in the 'friend' category, the fact that everyone in the club acted and treated her like she stole and tortured a puppy was a shitty thing to do, once again who the fuck are they to judge? Let's not forget she almost got killed on numerous occasions because of the club and she kept her mouth shut, sure she tried to keep her distance but she didn't treat any of them with disrespect. That's like the biggest double standard ever, that fucking club is full of hypocrites. Its totally okay for them to shit on everyone, but one person doesn't tell them something personal about herself and she becomes public enemy number one...what a crock of shit; and that is exactly what Kelsey should have told them, 'fuck you, you don't know me to be judging me, take a look at yourselves first before you start passing judgment, assholes!' But she didn't, typical weak ass female, she just kowtowed to them and took all the harsh stares and ugly insults...idiot!
In any case, Killer and Kelsey's relationship totally reminded me of Lash and Angel and we all know I hated those two characters, especially Angel...Kelsey is very similar to her. Tate could be a bitch but at least she doesn't let Murphy walk all over her...Angel and Kelsey are weak characters....I don't care too much for those....
I really liked Killer and Kelsey. They were so sweet together and brought out the best in one another.
But damn, I wish I could go back in time, whisper in Kelsey's ear and tell her to reveal all to Killer. I wish I could put a halt to Killer thrusting into that bar skank. I wish I could inject a dose of self confidence into Kelsey before she did harm to herself. I wish I could understand why Michael didn't just divorce Kelsey after a year or so. I wish, I wish, I wish... I know, if wishes were fishes we'd all cast nets but whatever.
Even though I was ticked that Killer dipped his wick in the toxic waste that was the redhead skank, I was pleasantly surprised that he bagged it when Kelsey performed certain "activities". Thank you for scoring those bonus points with me, Killer. Thank you for treating Kelsey like the queen she really is and for satisfying her insatiable needs. You were awesome in the last 75% of the story. :) And a big thanks to you too, Kelsey, for accepting Killer's past, present and obviously his future.
While I love that the Skulls have each other's back, I hate how much they ragged on Kelsey. Sandy bugged the crap out of me when she felt the need to join in and then had the gall to tell Tate to "stop being her friend and see this how it is". Buzz off Sandy and open your eyes where Stink is concerned. I wanted to slam a frying pan to Murphy's head when he told Killer, "Don't feel guilty about what you did. You got it out of your system." I am so flippin' tired of that excuse. F*** everyone else and let Killer and Kelsey work some things out on their own.
Looking forward to Zero's story and finding out if Prue will indeed cure him of his Sophia hangover!
The author did a great job drawing the reader into story of Killer and Kelsey. It was a fast paced book that kept me interested in both the main characters as well as the other members of the Skulls MC. Killer is determined to be with Kelsey despite the fact that she is married. While others may hold his early actions in the book against him, I viewed it as an outlet for his pain and anger. He was always honest with her and himself early on. He knew she was his and was determined to make it so. Kelsey has endured being treated poorly by her parents and husband. She learned at a young age that sometimes the only person you can trust is your. She is determined to make a life for herself, with the Skulls included, despite her current circumstances. While I enjoyed the book, and the characters, I often times got angry with Kelsey. She kept helping her family at a detriment to herself. Good thing she had the support of a few good friends. If Tate, Sandy and Killer weren’t there for her it could have been tragic. Killer is part of The Skulls series but it can be read as a standalone too. I have yet to read the others in the series but I’m looking forward to reading them.
Killer has been my favorite Skull from book #1 and I have been desperately waiting for his book.. I was praying Sam Crescent wouldn't let me down.
Did she? Not completely. The story was unique in many aspects.. with some predictable elements too. Both the H and h let me down at points and also made me love them.
I was mostly happy with it. I still have my overall pet peeves with Sam's writing.. she still throws in "erm".. and I have no idea why.. I'm guessing it's the British equivalent of umm?
And for a book (and series set in the USA) the British tone of writing is really heavy.. the voice of the characters doesn't sound biker-ish to me (I'm sure that makes no sense LOL)
I'm not saying she has to go all KA but the conversations the guys had while sweet, sometimes seemed out of place for big tough mean biker dudes.
All said and done, I was happy with the book and epilogue.
Killer is the fifth book in the Skulls series and concentrates on Killer and Kelsey we did get tasters of Killer and Kelsey in Tiny and i was looking forward to this book. The beginning of this book was heart-wrenching Kelsey's self esteem is so low and her past comes back to haunt her and she doesn't handle things well. Killer is devastated when he finds out about Kelsey's marriage he just reacts in anger without asking Kelsey questions they both make some really bad choices .Killer realizes the club has his back and they side with him and are angry with the way Kelsey treated him, but he stands by his love for her and doesn't trust Micheal and his reasons for suddenly appearing back in Kelsey's life when he seemed previously disinterested. Micheal seems to have secrets and i couldn't decide whether he actually cares about Kelsey or not. This book has to be my favorite of the series so far and it got the five stars despite the grammatical errors. Killer had everything i want in a hero i totally love this series and the ending was the best yet looking forward to Zero.
Killer is delivered a heartbreaking blow when he discovers Kelsey is married and she never thought to tell him. He loses himself in the bottle but he can't help but still love her even when she is off limits. Killer confronts her to hear all the details. But things gone from bad to worse. Kelsey feels trapped, and looks for the only escape that she thinks she has. Killer is besides himself, he saved Kelsey's life that was on the brink of death. He will do whatever it takes to protect her even from her so called husband. When it seems that Kelsey's husband is going to taking her far away, Killer makes his move. He takes her away to keep her safe.
Killer was awesome. I loved reading it, though the unwanted husband was freaking annoying to the extreme. But it was great, Killer went after his woman and didn't look back. It was HOT and sexy. I am really looking forward to reading Zero.
Killer and Kelsey were on a wild ride . Secrets don't always stay hidden and when Kelsey's secret showed up wearing an impeccable suit and a smirk on his face she knew she was in alot of trouble . Killer was hurt and lashed out without knowing the facts leaving Kelsey ashamed and fearing for the life she had hoped to have with killer dwindling by the minute.
Making a decision that would forever change the course of their lives Kelsey regretted it but didn't know how to change the outcome.
Lots of twists and turns in this book but killer was a dream and loved Kelsey so much. The chemistry was off the charts with these two and the story was on point. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
