As the leader of a Christian garage band, Parker Blevins finally gets a chance to headline at a high-profile community event. But events collide when his agnostic stepfather discovers the faith Parker has kept quiet, and forbids him to perform.
3.5 stars. Not exactly the best writing I have come across, but I respect the intent of the writer and her message. I didn't start reading expecting literary fiction, either, so it was fine.
Recommended for tweens/teens and adults who are willing to go easy on the book/author and appreciate the greater message here.
What a great book. For being such a short book (under 200 pages) the characters and storyline were deeply developed. The Christian lessons were wonderful and realistic for the characters. Can't wait to read the other books in this series.
