It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hooked. She read every book that she could find in the series and decided that she wanted to write stories too.
Lacey spent a lot of time at the library from that time forward, even volunteering in her later teen years and early twenties. She would don a crazy clown outfit for the Friends of the Library fundraisers in an effort to help get the new town library built.
When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.
Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline!

March 28, 2016You know that 4.2 seconds that it takes to download a sample and then delete it? Even that fraction of a minute was a waste of time on this book FOR ME.
So, while I only read 6% of this book and won't be rating it, I figured I'd help save some folks the time it takes to download and immediately return this shit should you find the following as eeky, immature, and poorly written as I did.
Misleading Blurb
1) At 1%, we find out her brother is dead.
Dead... As in... Was his friend... Not is! There is not going to be some OP big bro in this story.
BTW: I gotta say that this one sentence devoted to the dead dude is really just so heartfelt since they both immediately go back to musing how hot they each are and all.
2) He doesn't have a girlfriend. As in past tense... Had a girlfriend... As in he's single NOW... As in WTF do I care that he once had a girlfriend for a couple months?!?

• MMC voice sounds like what would happen if Dr. Phil tried to be a Channing Tatum character for the day.
• Well, this isn't at all creepy
She's there to get a tattoo of "Someone loved is never forgotten" to honor her dead brother.
Problem? She's only 17.
Solution? Put it somewhere "special" and "private."
Placement? The hollow of her hip bone under her underwear - ie dead BROTHER tat UNDER YOUR UNDERWEAR WAY TOO CLOSE TO YOUR VAGINA . Maybe it's just me, but this is a mfing weird ass place to put a brother tat.
And all this for someone described this way:

Yes, the blurb says the FMC is seventeen. But, when you tell me the MMC is a 22-year-old tattoo artist and exotic dancer, I do not expect to be getting dialogue, scenes, and thoughts that probably mirror a lot of high school freshman.

Low angst NA which I normally stay away from but glad I gave it a try. It was a a good story with some flaws but a really nice read. I loved how the H/h were both very honest with each other and how maturely they handled things and how they acted. Warning:

While I loved the story line and the drama and the attraction between the two main characters the ending was a let down. Otherwise I would rate this 5*. Too much was left out and this felt like another one of those books where the author just couldn't be bothered. It wasn't a long book so could've done with the extra pages explaining a bit more of what happened in their time apart and what future plans were as she was only graduating high school. But again I loved the story, loved the heat, loved the stripping scene....wowza!! Very hot hot hot. Maybe their friends should get their own book and it could provide more about Six and Brooklyn.

This was one of those just pure indulgent reads, hot guy rough around the edges meets sweet innocent girl. I loved it! Trey Jaggar better known as Six has been secretly in want of Brooklyn, however the first time he meet her she was only sixteen and he was twenty one. Legally in Nevada they could be together, but the age difference had bothered him at that time. Then one night Brooklyn decides to get a tattoo her brother told her to go to Six if she ever wanted to get one. So once again they find each other face to face.
These to were so fun to watch fall into lust and love. Six was the sweetest Alpha male ever, and so sexy. Brooklyn was sweet and sexy too. I loved Brooklyn's best friend Bailey she was hilarious and such a good fiend. There was a lot more to this story than just Six and Brooklyn. Someone close to Brooklyn has been murdered, as well as living with a controlling politician for a dad. Really a fun and enjoyable read.

I think I had myself fooled when I grabbed this book.
I was thinking that the h in this story was 16 or 17 and that the H had a thing for her. But I thought that it would be a time lapse thing and that they would end up together after she turned of age.
It doesn't happen. This books is a love story about a 21 year old man and a 17 year old girl..
I don't care if she was almost 18, I don't care about the 20 times we were reminded that in Nevada it was legal, it was not a good plot.
In fact this book was a whole bunch of sugar sap with an attempt at drama at the very end. It fell flat and the minor thing only made it worse.

Omg can I give this book 10 stars? Because let me tell you something it deserves that and so many more. I was hooked from the very beginning. Oh Six, Lord have mercy that boy is the epitome of sex and hottness. Lord help us all. When he brought Brooklyn onto the stage while he was stripping I almost had a heart attack. That was so hot I was melting. I had to reread it three times! Brooklyn may only be 17 but she is so mature for her age. I love how protective and attentive Six was to her all the time. He fell in love hard and was proud of it too. And in the bedroom he rocked the freaking walls. Her dad was truly a monster as everyone described. I'm so glad the truth about him and his mistress Rhonda was uncovered. I really wish this story would continue. I love Brooklyn and Six. Great great read!

Wow. This book was amazing Lacey did a wonderful job with it. This was the first book of Lacey's that I have read and I enjoyed it. I would marry six any day of the week. He is a wonderful and caring guy who did whatever it took to take care of his girl even thro it was not easy. He waiting so long to finally be able to have the relationship he wanted and he worked hard to keep it. Allure was so good I was speechless by the end because it ended perfect with none of them evil cliffys

Well, I'm either still on my book-high after finishing two kick ass books in a row or it's really the book. I'm not feeling it.I can't sympathize, connect, relate ....call however you like it, with the characters or the plot.
It doesn't hook me one bit to my utter disappointment since the blurb really spoke to me. I don't care about the minor thing. I'm from Europe and we all date older guys, so 17 and 22 is no big deal to me. The writing, the dialogues and their whole "I wanted you for so long" - inserts eye rolling here- isn't believable, I'm sorry. Don't get me started on the tattoo on his dick. smh. Yeah a bit of a turn off.
Besides the too simple storyline, the writing is another point. It comes off flat with no depth, mmh. Steamy scenes were ok but not how I prefer them.
Again it's either me being still on my book high or this book isn't for me. I might pick it up again but that's a big if. I don't lie, I'm a picky straight romance reviewer and a hot alpha, cliche characters, and some thrown-in sex stopped doing it to me for a very long time now.

2.5 I liked her first book stars! I read this today since so many people seemed to have it in their goodreads feed. It was a mistake. It started out slow, got super hot and sexy and careless fast then fizzled with a disturbing mystery and then the end. 22 year old guy and 17/18 year old girl with a recently dead half brother find each other and fall in crazy hot love. There were several questions that went unanswered. Where did Six go for 2 months? Whatever happened to the ex-girl? Had potential but I couldn't make it work for me.

Yikes! I couldn't finish the book. It was juvenile, the characters uninteresting and the plot contrived. I'm all for supporting Indie authors, but so many of them write complete garbage, like this book.

DNF at 23%. I loved Lacey Weatherford's Crush series but I just couldn't handle this book. It was "Magic Mike" meets underage girl meets I don't know what. Just couldn't get into it. Sorry.

It was like sweet valley high with good sex. There was so much naivety from both Six and Brooklyn I couldn't imagine most adults liking this book. It was barely bearable.

The Review:
I enjoyed the story in this one. It wasn’t to heavy and the angsts were light. It was a bit on the fluffy side and I thought the mains could have used a bit more conflict in their initial meet-and-get-together, but for the most part, this was an enjoyable, quick read.
Told in both main’s POV’s, we get the story of Six and Brooklyn, their sweet romance and their exciting journey to finding a love with a little adventure and a taste of the forbidden thrown in.
The Rundown:
Brooklyn is seventeen, still in high school and has a very overbearing and watchful family. Her father is mayor and is more concerned with appearances and winning votes than he is about his family's happiness. Brooklyn’s only solace was her half brother who was the ostracized black sheep in their family and the mayors biggest disappointment. But Brooklyn’s brother loved and protected her until a hit-and-run took him from her, leaving her devastated and alone.
In a rare show of defiance, Brooklyn sets out to get a tattoo from her brothers best friend.. and to connect with the forbidden fruit that is Six, the hot and sexy tattoo artist/exotic dancer she’s been crushing on for over a year. Problem is, he’s older, has a girlfriend and has never noticed her... or so she thought.
Six’s life is a good one. The past couple of months have met some dark times but he’s living his dream of being a tattoo artist with a good start on one day owning his own shop. It doesn’t hurt that he spends his weekends as an exotic dancer and can have any women he wants, except the underage beauty he’s had to stay away from for the past year.
But when she walks into his tattoo parlor and he gets his hands on her, all bets are off and their mutual attraction draws them to one another like magnets. Only not everyone is okay with their union and when Six and Brooklyn’s future becomes threatened as well as their lives, Six has to make hard choices he never expected to make.
Story/Characters...
Brooklyn and Six’s story was sweet and fun. Six was sexy and charming and his attraction to Brooklyn was hot. When they give into temptation, they smoke those scenes and totally gave me the butterflies.
I was a bit disappointed they gave in before her eighteenth birthday and not because I don’t think seventeen year olds have sex but because I think the author missed a well of opportunity with angsts with the forbidden.
Brooklyn grew up in an affluent home but she wasn’t snobby or expectant of anything. I liked her character a lot. Six was yummy and I loved his lifestyle but I also really enjoyed his loyalty and morals.
The big conflict with Brooklyn’s father took an unexpected turn which I didn’t see coming and really loved.
I did think some of Brooklyn and Six’s conversations were way too fluffy for my tastes. Six was an open book and a bit of a lighter hero than I’m used to but I still liked his charm and his protectiveness of Brooklyn.
And I really enjoyed the ending to the one, mostly because it too, was unexpected.
The Wrap Up:
All in all, I enjoyed this read enough I sat through the whole book, not putting it down until the very end. And I’d definitely read this author again.

The first time I read a book by Weatherford, I swore to never read another book of hers. A little harsh, right? And we all know what they say, "never say never."
Well now I wish I'd stayed true to my promise and skipped this one because in the end, I was still disappointed.
They're both into each other but she's only 16 while he's 21. Too young says Six. Brooklyn thinks he's out of her league.
A year later, Brooklyn wants to get a tattoo in honor of her dead half-brother. Despite being underage and having no parent consent, Six does the tattoo himself. A couple of weeks later, they're in a secret relationship, having sex at the first opportunity. I don't understand what's changed from a year ago and now. She's still under 18, he's nursing a broken heart and Tommy is dead.
As far as Six, I had trouble believing he didn't have feelings for his ex, Sarah. He says he loved her and they were gonna have a kid. I don't know if it's because he and Brooklyn happened so abruptly or because he ended things with Sarah only a couple of months ago before going out with Brooklyn.
Then there's Brooklyn always insecure. At every turn, she thinks Six is going to break up with her. Like really? Why go out with someone and not trust them?
The book goes almost drama-less except for sneaking around until Brooklyn finds out her half-brother, Tommy, could've been killed by their father. Along with Six, they decided to confide in Tommy's mom, Dee Dee, who warns Brooklyn from digging because she could get hurt. Really? She just found out the murderer of HER OWN son could be her ex-husband and she doesn't want to know? Hell, if that was me, I'd be going crazy plotting to kill the fucker.
In all, I wanted to give this book a chance but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I don't know if it has to do with reading a previous book of hers and hating it or this story simply didn't meet my expectations. Regardless, I wasn't crazy about Six and Brooklyn.
An Epilogue would've been nice too.

As far as Six, I had trouble believing he didn't have feelings for his ex, Sarah. He says he loved her and they were gonna have a kid. I don't know if it's because he and Brooklyn happened so abruptly or because he ended things with Sarah only a couple of months ago before going out with Brooklyn.
Then there's Brooklyn always insecure. At every turn, she thinks Six is going to break up with her. Like really? Why go out with someone and not trust them?
The book goes almost drama-less except for sneaking around until Brooklyn finds out her half-brother, Tommy, could've been killed by their father. Along with Six, they decided to confide in Tommy's mom, Dee Dee, who warns Brooklyn from digging because she could get hurt. Really? She just found out the murderer of HER OWN son could be her ex-husband and she doesn't want to know? Hell, if that was me, I'd be going crazy plotting to kill the fucker.
In all, I wanted to give this book a chance but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I don't know if it has to do with reading a previous book of hers and hating it or this story simply didn't meet my expectations. Regardless, I wasn't crazy about Six and Brooklyn.
An Epilogue would've been nice too.

I bought a copy of Allure just before midnight last night. I started reading it just after and I stayed up all night reading it because I just couldn't put it down. I actually still haven't gone to be....lol. Lacey does not disappoint, her characters act their age which helps make the story believable and relatable.

Brooklyn's brother Tommy always told her if she wanted to get a tattoo she should go see Six at Inked Edges. She has had a crush on Six for a year now but Brooklyn doesn't even feel like she is a blip on his radar.
Trey "Six" Jagger was smitten with Brooklyn Hall the very first time he saw her outside his best friend Tommy's house, that is until he learned she was sixteen. Now a year later she walks into his place of business looking for him to give her an illegal tattoo. Now that Brooklyn has popped back into his life Six wants the chance to spend some time with her.

This is a great story for fans of forbidden romance. Six and Brooklyn knew of each other through Tommy, Brooklyn's older half-brother and Six's close friend. They have never met formally until after Tommy dies. There are 2 problems, the first being that Brooklyn is 17 and Six is 22 and the second being that Brooklyn is the daughter of the mayor, a politician who cares about nothing except maintaining the perfect image and isn't likely to approve of Six. So the first issue was more of an issue when Brooklyn was 16, but now that she and Six have met in person, they can't walk away from each other so easily. The second issue can be diverted as long as the mayor doesn't find out. In the meantime, watching Six and Brooklyn get to know each other was like a heat seeking missile finding its target and exploding. They pretty much ignite whenever they are together. Six comes off as a bad boy but he has a big heart and isn't a jerk or a slouch. He takes care of people who are important to him and enjoys life while he can. Brooklyn may be more innocent, but she isn't naive or oblivious. She embraces all that she is with pure honesty. She can read people well and play the part of the good and obedient daughter, but Brooklyn is actually very independent and level headed. She also takes risks and follows her gut instinct. Six and Brooklyn didn't have any false pretenses between them and they communicated openly. I loved how head over heels Six was for Brooklyn. They had the kind of relationship that shouldn't have to be hidden because there was nothing to be ashamed of, but it was out of necessity for their safety. Secrets get revealed and suddenly there are issues larger than Six and Brooklyn sneaking around together because people's true colors come out. No matter what, Six will not be deterred from having Brooklyn in his life and he goes the extra mile for her. I definitely enjoyed reading this book.

GAHHH I finally was able to get to Allure. And Lacey did NOT disappoint. Possibly the most hottest and steamiest book I have read for hers. Six, Six, Six, oh my.... I am totally in love. Hunter was always my favorite character of hers, but now I think Six has taken that title. We meet Six and he was been lusting after one of his friends baby sisters. He is 22 and she is 17. He hasn't made a move... until now. She comes into the shop wanting to get a tattoo to honor her brothers memory and Six is happy to give it to her. They make a promise of keeping in touch and one evening she winds of at Leathers. A male stripping club and she comes face to face with Six in his holy hotness glory and it was the hottest thing I have probably read. EVER. Magic Mike has got NOTHING on Six. The two start dating and sneaking around because of her age and the mayor, her father Scott Hall who is a true control freak and even more dangerous than meets the eye. There was SOOOO many twists and turns that I did not even see coming. I was kept on my toes with suspense and kept me hanging on the edge until the very last moment. I simply LOVED every single second of this book. I truly hope for one more book with the couple or a book with Bailey and Brandon. There is soo much more I want to know. Will continue to read everything Lacey produces. Must read book folks!

I absolutely love this book, it pulled me in instantly. Through out this book I was smiling and in a lot of spots fanning myself. Lacey Weatherford pulls you in and brings her characters and the places to life, I could see Six and the sexy dance he does to Brooklyn.
Six is a tattoo artist and exotic dancer who has feeling for his friend’s little sister, he’s tried to stay away and forget her but when Brooklyn comes into his tattoo shop for her first tat he can’t help but want to spend a little more time with her but he still won’t ask her out. He can’t get her out of his head though and one night she comes to Leather’s where he dances and he can’t resist. Brooklyn has wanted Six since the first time she saw him but figured he just saw her as Tommy’s little sister. But she dreams about him often and compares every guy to him, which they never come close to being. When she gets to go to Leather’s with her fake I.D. she’s worried someone will tell her father, who is the mayor and is more worried about his image than anything else. But when she see’s Six’s half naked picture there, she knows even if she’s caught by her daddy it would be worth it. When they can’t seem to fight their attraction any longer they have to sneak to be together cause Brooklyn is seventeen and Six is twenty-two, her daddy will do anything not to look bad, even making Six’s life hell.

This was a really sweet love story of finding that perfect match that no matter what your age, background or circumstances, it's just right.
The age difference wasn't that big a deal to me. You can't help who your heart picks and even though eighteen is a more mature age, Brooklyn was only four months from that age and didn't act like someone in high school. I loved how strongly they both felt for the other person. Six did have an ex, but I appreciated that she didn't really cause problems so we could concentrate on the main characters. The story about how Six got his name was sweet and it's a cool name.
Brooklyn's dad was not only a jerk, but a horrible selfish man. I would have liked to have known more about what happened to hi and Rhonda. There were also some questions left open like where Six had been, what happened with DeeDee, etc., But overall it was a sweet, good book.
I enjoyed getting to know Six and Brooklyn, and Bailey and Brandon were cute too. This book was told from dual POVs from Six and Brooklyn, isn't a cliffhanger and has a happy ending, although no epilogue.

This book is perfect!
It is cute, sexy and hot! One of the steamiest book that I've read by this author. TOTALLY LOVED IT.
Brooklyn is 17 and she has just lost her half-brother. To honour his memory she goes into the tattoo parlour where Six/Trey works. Trey is her brother's friend and has always had a thing for Brooklyn, however, though he fantasies about her he never has done anything as she has always been too young.
However, he can no longer fight the attraction and the heart wants, want the heart wants. This book is cute, romantic and HOT DAMN STEAMY! Because of the age difference (Trey/Six is 22) they face some obstacles, primarily due to Brooklyn's family and her affluent background.
Trey though, is so hot, sweet and totally wonderful! LOVED HIM!

Allure!!! Lacey Weatherford spins a silky web of such enchantment, that it leaves you breathless and full of bliss. The story starts out with Brooklyn going to a get a illegal tattoo, to remember her brother Tommy, whom was killed in a hit and run. Six is not only the artist whom does her ink, he was friends with Tommy. Both Brooklyn and Six were attracted to each other well before they officially met.. I don't want to give any spoilers but I will say I enjoyed Bailey, Brandon, and Dee Dee's friendship and loyalty to both Brooklyn and Six!!! I loved the action, and the romance, and of course all that hot heavy petting, and steamy sex that Lacey Weatherford incorporated into a spell binding, pleasurable ride!!! For those of you who don't like a book that is all about sex, then this is the book for you!!! It is the perfect balance of plot, heat, mystery, and yummy sex!!! Thank you Lacey Weatherford, for another amazing read!!!

I was amazed with this story - which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. Another one of those - I can't put this book down type books!!!

Super Hot!! This book was awesome! Brooklyn has had a crush on her older brother’s sexy friend Six for a while now. When her brother dies she goes to Six and asks him to tattoo her in memory of her brother. Six has also liked Brooklyn for a while now but hasn't acted on his attraction because he five years older than Brooklyn. The problem is now that he has tattooed Brooklyn he can’t get her out of his mind. Six and Brooklyn are tired of fighting the attraction and when they get together it is Hot! This book has it all, hot romance, mystery, and humor. I could not put this book down until I finished reading it!

Once again Lacey has captured me with her words and her characters. I thought Chase would be the man I fell for and wanted more of, but I keep adding to that list. Now I have tossed a sexy tattoo artist, with a number for a name onto it.
I have gotten many tattoos, but never had I imagined that something as amazing as a memorial tat, could bring two people together. Lacey proves in this book that despite the situation, age, or timing, love can find us anywhere. Even though they are both brokenhearted, in one way or another, they manage to find each other and fall in love. Against all odds and everything thrown in their way they jumps their hurdles and find solace in each other. Thank you Lacey for yet again, showing me that love DOES exist.
