The first adventure book I ever read. Received it as a prize in some competition in 5th grade in school. Loved all the 4 stories. Favorite were the ones with the blind kid and the rhinoceros poaching. Very well written and capturing. I reread it several times after.
A very interesting and good read and boy! was I surprised to read this... I read this book quite a while back and just thought about it recently, and hence adding it to goodreads... I still think about the stories in this book to this very day... The stories in this book are really well written; even comparable to the top notch authors in the present... A very good read if you are looking for a mystery book...
As someone else had written as well, the characters are quite 2-dimensional. The plots don't have much to them either. Maybe in 2003 when children's literature wasn't so accessible, they would have been great stories. But not in 2025 when there's so much available.
Adventure stories by Arup Kumar Dutta Genre: Novel Rating: 5/5
A Compilation of stories, this book contains wonderful novels such as The Kaziranga Trail, Trouble at Kolongijan, The Blind Witness, and Smack. All of the novels here talk about how a group of children helped foil bad men’s plans and got them arrested.
