The world has changed...and not for the better.
As the 21st century nears its midpoint, the world has become a far different place. Nearly three decades earlier, a time-travel experiment on the island of Alcatraz went terribly awry. Instead of opening a portal to the past, it opened an entrance to another world, one filled by deadly creatures that previously had only populated humankind’s legends and nightmares. Through the portal came ogres, cyclops, dragons, werewolves and vampires, to name just a few.
Cities fortunate enough to survive the onslaught have become walled fortresses. Along with the monsters came a mystifying plague—for ten years after the tragedy, no children were born anywhere on earth. Then, on the tenth anniversary of what has come to be known as The Incident, a baby girl is born in San Diego. On each of the next six days, another child is born. By virtue of their birth, the seven become known as the Miracles.

Each Miracle develops a magical power; each one except Leah, the first born. When Leah is seventeen, she receives an ominous message from the other world. The Miracles must journey to Alcatraz and stop what is going to happen on the next anniversary of The Incident, a day which just happens to be Leah’s eighteenth birthday. Otherwise, the world as they know it will cease to exist.

There are just a few problems with that. Alcatraz lies five hundred very dangerous miles away, and there are no more cars, trains or planes to get them there. Even worse, the message doesn’t tell Leah what is going to happen, or how to stop it. And she still doesn’t possess a Power of her own.
Filled with danger and bravery, magic and monsters, companionship and loss, Anomaly will keep you glued to its pages until the final, pulse-pounding sentence.

On Alcatraz, Scientists are trying to open a black hole to time travel. What could go wrong?!!
Instead it is a portal to another world filled with things of nightmares. They come through quickly and deadly. The world will never be the same.
Cities, well those that survived have become walled fortresses, no electricity no gas, water has become pure again. Except now the cities have to deal with Anomalies that is a black hole appearing and crushing and killing those near enough. The bright part of all this is the 7. 7 Miracles the first in 10 years to be born after that fateful day. 6 have powers awesome powers. The first born Leah is 17 yr. old and still no powers. We follow Leah and her best friend Radar as they meet some unexpected friends in the bay of San Diego. The 7 must travel to Alcatraz to stop the destruction of their world. Sounds good but all the monsters live out behind the walls and it is 500 miles. Leah still doesn't understand why or how come she has no powers but with her Dad, Friends and Military all heading to Alcatraz so that the 7 can save this world. Will Leah find her powers? A Journey of Epic Proportions is about to commence and what a journey it will be. Lions Tigers and Bears, (Oh My)! If that was all that was out there no problem!

I love Scott Prussings work! He is an Author that will draw you in and never let you come up for air... you can't you would have to put the story down!! I was so drawn in I stayed up late and read to the end, then wanted more! This series has a chance to be on of those YA/Adult Dystopia Books that will talked about and maybe even a movie made of this Series. I see word of mouth and bloggers begging Scott for more in this series! So well written, very descriptive, captures imagination of any reader.
I so very highly recommend this book. YA/Adult Paranormal Dystopia Epic Adventure!
Hint Hint on next book!!

Anomaly is unlike any paranormal book I've read. The story involves a group of teens, known as the Miracles, and nightmarish creatures from another world. The Miracles have to race against time to save the world, while many different creatures and circumstances hold them back. This is one heck of a page turner! I had to stop at 92%, I just didn't want it to end!
I can only hope that Scott writes more about these amazing characters.. This is not a cliff hanger book... I just want more!!

The story begins within a lab in Alcatraz...
A scientific project that has taken years can finally be tested but it goes horribly wrong and their experiment creates a portal to another world, a world full of monsters such as dragons, werewolves, vampires, medusas... and these monsters can't wait to cross through these portals and prey on the defenceless humans.

A few decades later the world is nothing like it once was, millions of people have died and technology can't be used because it attracts the anomaly that creates portals.
Humans now live in a few walled cities and monsters roam the rest of the world.

Leah and her 6 friends, called the Miracles, receive a message from the other world... they have to go back to Alcatraz in order to save their planet... but it's a very dangerous journey!

I loved this book! It's a mix of YA dystopian and supernatural with lot's of suspence and great charachters.

The miracles

A very interesting read. A group of teenagers must venture around the country to get to the place where the incident occurred many years before, in order to save what's left's of their world. They have to fight creatures that come through portals from another world. But someone is watching out for them and sending help. If the next book merges with the Blue Fire Series, I winner if the 'she' might be Leesa. Only one way to find out. If I go!

Amazing!!!

This was the first book reading after I completed the entire Blue Fire Saga Series. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant, but this book did NOT disappoint. I couldn’t put the book down!! It kept me on the edge the whole time! It was awesome to get this full story, after reading Timeless. I have to admit I’m quite sad for our journeys to be over with this group!! Well done Mr. Prussing!!

I really, really wanted to like this book more. The plot was there, but could have been developed so much more. The same with the characters. I also felt that the ending seemed to be rushed.
However, I will say that I spent 7 years in California, and the author did justice to the scenery descriptions. I felt like I was right there.

Scott Prussing has got in my mind once again. I still can't stop thinking about this book. This is a must read!!! I loved the characters and the adventure in this story. I will absolutely be the first in line for the next book.

I read all types of books.  Usually a story like Anomaly is not my first choice, but since I really do like what Scott Prussing can write I told him I would give it chance.
Anomaly plays on what could have happened December 21, 2012, but in the world of Anomaly, the scientists figured out that they had the wrong year for the end of the world.  On December 21, 2021 the world as they knew it changed.
In the District of San Diego seven children were born after the Incident.  They were dubbed Miracles, born 10 years after the Incident and each with a power to help with the anomalies that are occurring.
Leah and Radar were born a day a part. They are also best friends.  Before Radar had to use her power, Leah and Radar were heading down to the beach.  On that particular day Leah and Radar encounter mermaids that have been sent through an anomaly.  They are there to gather all the Miracles to be sent on a mission to help save their world.
Anomaly is a great sci-fi fiction read.  I hated to have to put it down at times.  The characters are all well developed. I have a soft spot any author that includes my hometown in a book too. The  ending was a pretty good cliffhanger too.  I really hope that Scott doesn't end the story where he did. Each one of the Miracles would have a great story on how they can save the world.

OMGosh, where to start? Scott Prussing has done it again. I could literally go on and on. LOL

He has created a very psychologically thrilling, suspenseful, mysterious, well-written and easy to follow post-apocalyptic, fantastical and sci-fi world filled with things that go bump in the night, as as well as some that will make one's heart skip a beat just imaging the picturesque and detailed scenes.

I love the fact that the story is located in my home state of California. Most of the localities mentioned are ones I am familiar with as well as a few I actually lived in, especially towards the end.

The characters are so diverse, creative, personable, believable, and likable. Each was clearly presented in such a way I became invested in their outcomes when something went awry. Very Good Scott Prussing!

I highly recommend this to all sci-fi, fantasy readers out there.

While I thoroughly enjoyed this book I didn't give it the full five stars because in certain parts I felt there was some untapped potential for some wonderful and/or insightful story development and was disappointed at the authors choice to just spend a page or two telling the reader how the charters where walking just like they did the day before. Also I would have LOVED at least a peek or two inside Kai's heads. It's great that he seems to always be smiling at Leah but I wanted to know he was seeing when he looked at her or anyone else. All that being said I find that even though I not only stayed up till the wee hours of the morning reading because I couldn't put the book down, a few days after I finished reading it I'm still thinking about the story, charters and world the Mr.Prussing has created and I look forward to the next book and will most likely reread this one in the mean time.

Wow.... a very unique read indeed! I had a difficult time putting it! a tale of Miracles and mermaids and special powers, but Mr. Prussing you have done it again. I have found it to be a wonderful novel that pulls you in with just right amount of twists and turns

The downside of your book..As always, you left room for another sequel..no HEA here, so don't go looking for one folks, because I'm sure that he's got something up his sleeve.

I would have given this book a 5 star rating had it not been for a few grammar errors and it being a cliffhanger!

By all means I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a wonderful paranormal book with a lot of action and adventure. Very awesomely wicked.

So, this is not my normal genre at all, but I wanted to read it because I love Scott's books and as always I fell in love. This was amazing. The characters were different and I loved them. Kai was a favorite of mine as well ;) It kept me on my toes wondering what would happen and when. The writing made me feel with the characters. It had lots of action and so many good things about it. I loved this and am curious to see if we see more from these characters in the future.

Unique, impactful, and memorable, Scott Prussing once again proves that he can write the hell out of YA. I desperately needed something different and this fit the bill perfectly. I'm looking forward to more from the Miracles and their allies from There.
