Stephanie Teale is new in school. As a legally blind albino, she is used to stares and being teased. She quickly becomes friends with Nathan Ewen, the preacher’s son. Stephanie also makes the track team and is one of the fastest runners. Overall, I enjoyed the story probably because I work with special needs students and am a cross country coach and runner. This book is probably the book I like best in the series (though I haven’t read the 3rd book Out of Hiding).

It is a really good book for 12-14 years old. It has some funny, sad and spiritual elements in it. It is also great if you want a quick and enjoyable read!!

Snow was somewhat predictable, but still enjoyable. Farnes presentation of the gospel is excellent as she allows Stephanie to question the gospel without it controlling the story. Nathan and his family were very believable and I found myself able to relate to the characters well. I will look forward to recommending this one to my students.

Didn't like this one as much as Rivers of Judah.
