Prague: Artel Style

Rate this book
This is not your standard guide to Prague. Rather, it aims to fill an important niche in the existing tour book market. Beginning with insights drawn from her 14 years living in Prague, Feldman spent a year personally visiting hotels, boutiques and restaurants as research for the book. The result is an unconventional insider's guide to the best Prague has to offer from the perspective of a self-professed shopping expert. ('Look, everyone has a skill set; apparently mine includes locating, and spending money, on fabulous finds,' she intones in the book's introduction.) Written in a conversational, first-person style, Prague: Artel Style includes ideas for uniquely Czech items to buy, and offers practical tips not often found in traditional guidebooks from off-the-beaten-path dining destinations to which rooms to ask for at hotels. Complemented by vintage images and Bethca didn t know facts, the book embodies quirky (but chic) Artel style. Most recently, the book was recognized by the 12th annual Independent Publisher Awards with a gold medal in the organization s Travel Guidebook category.
