This book is Out of Print, and in early 2020 will be included in the publication, The Envelope, And The Rest Of Valentine's Dreams, by G. N. Price.  This is about a man from Mars, something which he suspected for a long time.  And now to complicate matters, Valentine Odey, which is pronounced O Day, if you needed to know that, has become part of a manuscript.  In there, he's asked by a very pretty girl to do something which is never clearly explained to him.  He finds himself on all sorts of stages and examined in all sorts of ways, possibly to give him confidence that he's the right person for the job, which is apparently to save the world.  More than once he misses his little office at Nike, where he is quite comfortable looking for solutions to company problems in his collection of mysteries and poetry and treatises about philosophical differences which he's stacked up all around him.  Now he finds himself stacked up, with a very pretty girl and big odds, and if there is any solution, mysterious or poetic, that's going to come up in this case it will have to come out of him.
