Her Nanny always told her to follow her dreams, which is how she got into writing. That and her characters were nagging to have their stories told. If you can't find H.S. behind the keyboard making magic, you will find her chasing her daughters around the house. If not that then curled in her big red comfy chair reading. She loves alpha-males who are almost ass holes, but still have a sweet spot for their woman. She has loved the entire journey to where she is now and couldn't thank y'all enough!

Although this could be read as a stand alone (the Author revisits characters and events from the first book in this series), I highly recommend reading “The Lucky Bullet” first. That being said, lets start things off by saying that this book picks up right where The Lucky Bullet ended. I was wondering about that “exchange” at the bar…
Sloane, new receptionist for the guys, has a lot of secrets she’s keeping. But the one thing she can’t seem to keep secret is her feelings for Ryan. Ryan knows exactly what he wants, Sloane, and isn’t afraid to go for her, but deep down, he knows she’s hiding something.
While Sloane and Ryan slowly work on their relationship, both of their pasts start to rear their heads and secrets become exposed. Psst…Sloane’s secrets are more interesting than Ryan’s, but his play an important role in the story. I enjoyed reading about the love story, but found more interest in Sloane’s secret past and how it “intertwined” with the old and new characters.
Unfortunately, this is all you’re gonna get from me considering I would be spoiling the crap out of the story if I wrote more…so just go read it for yourself, it’s totally worth it.
Although I expect to see twists in the story (BTW, they were good), I wasn’t prepared for the Author’s “sense of humor” twist. I have to admit that I’ve NEVER seen that before and actually laughed out loud! Wickedly Awesome!!!!

This book is absolutely amazing. I was so lucky to beta read it and did not want to put it down. I was laughing, I was sitting on the edge of my seat with my heart beating out of my chest and, I was crying. This is a rollercoaster ride that has left me wanting more. The twists and turns left me breathless. I highly recommend this book. If you like a mix between action/adventure, romance, and thrillers then this is the book for you!

H.S Strickland does a wonderful job of captivating you with her amazing way of writing. She kept me intrigued with her story of suspense and love. I couldn't put the book down. I love the characters and their passion for love, lust, and work.I Highly recommend this read if you're seeking a thrilling, sexy and entertaining escape =) Five stars All the way!

The Missing Pieces by H.S. Strickland is the second book in the Intertwined Series, but it can be read as a standalone. Personally, I have not read the first book, but now that I've read the second, I'm ITCHING to get my hands on it!!! I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. GO GO GO read this book...you won't be disappointed
Love wasn't in Sloanes cards, She wasn't the type of girl to get butterflies; she didn't have time for those types of feelings. She moved too much, and never stayed in one place; her job demanded too much from her. But Ryan has been trying to go out with her for three months. And deep inside, Sloane wanted it to go somewhere, she wished that she could be that girl for Ryan,
The moment they shared their first kiss on the dance floor, I knew that we were in for a treat...that Sloane was not going to be able to hold back what she wants to feel for Ryan. I had a feeling there was going to be a lot of internal battles in Sloanes head, ones that were going to question where her life had been going... a struggle between what she wants and what her job requires of her. Was this a connection? Lust? Whatever the fuck it was, it was going to get her in a fuck-ton of trouble...because it was pretty hott. Their sex scenes reminded me of that Juvenille song ;)
Ryan is determined that Sloane wants him, that shes scared..and hes not backing down.
"This is not over Sloane. I am not done with you," he growled in my ear."
When he slips into her cab after leaving the bar, they make their way to his house..for more questions and shots. Which leads to a passionate and lustful kiss, Sloane was allowing herself this pleasure, for one night. Ryan intended on finding out why Sloane was avoiding him and putting up walls. Ryan is determined to get Sloane out of her shell.
Sloane is hiding a secret...a secret job..and now, her assignment is to close to him...to go against everything shes known for the past 16 years. The Missing Pieces is the second instalment from the Intertwined Seduction series, by H.S. Strickland. Although Ray and Mace are not the main focus of this story, they are in fact both an important piece to this captivating puzzle of an amazing story by the author.
The Missing Pieces tells the story this time around of Sloane, who we met towards the end of The Lucky Bullet, and Ryan, Maces' work colleague and best friend. At first thought, Sloane appears to be an 'average' character. Despite being feisty, independent, and tougher than most of the guys you read about. Sloane harbours a massive secret within her. A secret so big it could tear the world of those around her apart.
Sloane and Ryan work together. Their chemistry is electric, and no matter how hard she tries to avoid the inevitable with him, it's seems like there's a massive magnet is pulling his positive towards her negative.
Giving too much away will only spoil the pure genius of the story for you. I want to keep you guessing and on the edges of your seats like I was. It's powerful, intriguing, and will leave it's mark on your everyday thought.
With the first book, The Lucky Bullet, I felt that it wasn't as well written as it could have been. The flow wasn't that smooth, and the fast paced relationship between Ray and Mace wasn't that believable for me. But, by god did H.S get this story right! It was utterly captivating all the way from the start, right through to the final full-stop. It flowed like a dream, and was beautifully written keeping me sucked in all of the way through.
I really honestly can not wait for the next instalment by H.S. Strickland. This was one read I highly recommend, and righty deserves the full five stars I have happily rated it.
Well done H.S...one superb, suspense filled story :)

So I can't even believe I'm saying this but I think or rather I know, that I truly love this book better than Lucky Bullet.. I had a hard time believing that but after I got done reading it was the God's honest truth... This book definitely packs a punch!! I would also encourage you to read The Lucky Bullet before this one just to get up on speed on the whole gang plus some of the back story.
So I must say I love Sloane, she was determined yet spunky. She had to show all the boys that could hang with them. She also has a sweet side to her. She's also hiding a HUGE secret from everyone she loves. I'm not gonna give any spoilers away, you need to read the book to find out. Her job basically is to get close to Ryan, so that she find the bad guy who took her family away.
Ryan, hasn't always had the great life. He was raised by a drug addicted mother and was determined to make something out of his life. He did but struggled along the way especially a certain crazy ex girlfriend who won't leave him alone. Anyway, after one drunken night with Sloane, he can't get her off his mind. She basically ignores him until she gets the order. He thinks she finally comes to her senses but she has other plans.. When the s**t hits the fan everyone joins together to take out the bad guy and protect on of their own. Sloane eventually tells her HUGE secret; some are hurt, some are beyond happy but some need time to come around... This book has everything I love in a book.. strong determined bad a** female character mixed with a equally male character who only wants to protect and love her. Oh and it has some serious messed up characters who only want money.. Action packed thrill ride mixed with some super hot lovin romance, can't go wrong with that!! You can't go wrong with reading the two of these books, HS Strickland knows how to write a an action packed thrill ride full of characters you will fall in love with!

H.S. Strickland delivers a fantastic follow-up with her second book in the Intertwined Seduction Series, The Missing Pieces. Ryan and Sloane are two characters that have pasts and secrets. While they use that as a way to keep their lives as uncomplicated as possible when it comes to relationships, their rules are put to the test when they come together. What transpires is a story that has you intrigued from beginning to end. Sloane life is one big secret that when you find out what it is, it leaves you saying oh my gosh. Ryan deals with his pain but Sloan has the ability to change him. The story of these two is a definitely a must read. Will Sloane and Ryan be able to overcome their pasts? You will need to read The Missing Pieces to find out.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this installment of the Intertwined Seduction series. Ms. Strickland sucked me in right from the beginning with a kick ass heroin, Sloane. She is feisty and is on a special assignment which requires her to do two things that she finds difficult, keep her past at arms length while avoiding a relationship with her very attractive co-worker Ryan.
She believes she can keep her distance from Ryan by pushing him away but when she gets an order from her BOSS to get closer to him in order for her to complete her mission, Sloane faced with a very her true feelings for him. Can she complete her mission without getting her or worst yet, hurting those she has grown to care about?
Ryan doesn't really do relationships but when he meets Sloane something inside of him suddenly shifts. He can't put his finger on what it is about her that drives him completely mad but one thing is for sure... he is determined to figure her out and claim her for his own despite the walls she tries to put up.
This story was very well put together. It draws you in and keeps you at the edge of your seat. Though it is apart of the series, I believe this book could be read alone and should be read by every romantic suspense lover.

The Missing Pieces weaves the web of suspense, secrets, and romance. You get to meet a kick a$$ heroine and a swoony worthy guy. We meet Sloane who is working for Jones Security but in reality it is an undercover job. Ryan works at Jones security and is a cocky guy who hides his pain and doesn't do relationships. Follow Sloane and Ryan as they learn to love as their pasts come back to haunt them.
I loved that this story was so much more than a romance book. Both Sloane and Ryan have dangerous jobs and pasts. It was intriguing to learn the secret of Sloane's past. It kept you turning the pages with all of the suspense. Who doesn't love a women who can brandish a gun.
Ms. Strickland did a great job of developing all of the characters including the secondary ones. I did not read the first book in this series but did not feel that hindered me from understanding what was going on in this book. However I will certainly be looking up H.S. Strickland's other books.
If you want a dose of romance with the thrill of action and suspense then this is the book for you.

OMFG... Where do i even start with this review? Probably best to say that although it's a full story, it would be best to read The Lucky Bullet first so that you can get a better feel for this book, and the characters.
Ryan is an ex marine and works at part of the Jones Security team. After his ex girlfriend broke his heart, he has walls built and won't let any other woman in... Until Sloane!!!
Sloane works the reception at Jones Security, but she is hiding secrets!!!
I hate giving away spoils in my reviews so i won't go to deep into the story, but this whole book contains secrets that unfold a little more with each page that's turned. The plot twist for this book has been done perfectly and with so much passion that you will feel the emotion through the pages as the characters are feeling them... Fantastic!!!
If i could give this book more than 5 stars, i definately would! I couldn't put it down once i started and Ms Strickland has knocked me on my ass with this story... She even had me sobbing when the truth came out, so be warned... Keep tissues handy!!!

Ok, I am really digging this new author. I really, really liked The Lucky Bullet but I absolutely loved The Missing Pieces. You can see the author has really grown in her writing from her first book to the next one.
In The Missing Pieces the author captured my attention from the get go and never let go. It was so easy to get caught up in the story and so hard to put down. There was plenty of mystery, intrigue, humor, and passion. I love the fact that we got glimpses into Mace and Ray’s lives as well.
Ryan and Sloane’s story was very well written. I felt so bad for Sloane and the life fate had given her. She truly was a remarkable and strong woman. And Ryan (sigh) I so wish I had a man like him. He was patient with Sloane when he needed to be and domineering when he felt that was what Sloane needed.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Don't get me wrong I highly enjoyed The Lucky Bullet, but The Missing Pieces has exceeded my expectations! The chemistry with Sloane and Ryan is off the charts! Just like The Lucky Bullet, I was sucked in from the first few pages.

I have to say I wish I read the book one 1st but received a copy of this one. So I do recommend reading in order but I did get the gist of it fine without reading book one.
For not reading book one I have to say I loved reading this one. Couldn't put down. Sloane is an awesome character overall. I have to say lots of missing pieces is for sure and some secrets are revealed while some seem to still need to be discovered.
I have to recommend this book and look forward to book 3 while I pick up book 1, lol. I like to have books in order ;)

Great read!
Missing Pieces is Ryan and Sloane's story and is book 2 in the Intertwined Seduction series. I seriously recommend you read The Lucky Bullet first as they are connected and you get to know some of the other main characters. This gripped me from the beginning and the characters really pull you in. I really felt for both Ryan and Sloane and felt the frustrations and the pain that they did. Again the bond the group share is amazing and I look forward to more from the band of alpha brothers and the women in their lives.

I had a feeling after reading The Lucky Bullet, that Ryan was going to have his own book. Here it is! I really enjoyed reading this book. I had a feeling from the start on what was going to transpire, but still was at the edge of my seat! Love and lies-basically what is in the book, which will have you spinning your head on what's going to happen, and why! Plus, you'll get to see what happens next for Mace and Ray! Nanny is always a plus!

Sloane has a huge secret, several actually, and Ryan has a rough past. They come together in full-force and the chemistry is awesome! It's sexy and swoony and perfect. Between the complex characters, steamy sex, massive plot twist, this book was beautiful!
