Can people change in the land of the Sand? Two men who met in the dunes over the lost city of Danvar have to find out if there can ever be such a thing as friendship, honor, and sacrifice in a world full of sand divers, pirates, brigands, and thieves... and if there can ever be a life outside the world of the sand.Dunes Over Danvar 3: Sand Hawk, is the third and final short story in the Dunes Over Danvar series to be set in New York Times Bestselling Author Hugh Howey's world of SAND, and is written and published with the permission of Hugh Howey.
If you enjoyed reading Hugh Howey’s Sand, this book is for you. Dunes over Danvar is a wonderful read. I absolutely loved this book. Before diving into this final part, I reread parts one and two. It’s exciting and a bit humorous, with a wonderful ending. There is also a great mix of characters, the Poet, my favorite,is fascinating.
Following the boots of Mr Howey's Sand, Michael has told his own tale of what life can be like in such a place. A life of poverty and dispare can be overcome by humility, compassion and maybe redemption. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Solid conclusion to a series that was very well written and based in the world of Hugh Howey's 'Sand'. I wasn't surprised by the ending ( I wanted Peary to go further than he did), but it fit the story well. Great read!
A great finish to a great spinoff series. It may be Hugh Howeys world but Michael Bunkers characters are brilliant in it. A very good ending to the trilogy
