Discoveries with no answers. With Zane still on the mend and possible answers awaiting on the planet Hytha, Aaron and crew head to the home only Zane and Lalia remember. Nervous to encounter the two people who may be his parents, Aaron traverses the planet with Bat and the royal sisters, checking in on possible origins of his past while giving Zane time to recover.
What he finds may hold answers to who he is and his connection to his new family. It’s a perfect distraction, if Yvonne’s kindness and affection weren’t still so inexplicable.
Encounter is the tenth episode in the action-packed space opera series In Dying Starlight. Featuring a grumpy sarcastic cyborg, a talking badger, plenty of space travel, a cast of oddball characters, and a bit of romance, In Dying Starlight is perfect for fans of Star Wars, Firefly, and Blade Runner.

This was another slow relaxing read with the characters still recovering from what happens in Pursuit. Aaron is still working through his emotions for Yvonne and now gets to meet Zane and Lailas parents. Which may be his parents. Lot of confusing emotions but good growth on Aaron's part. Not much action but I think that's just because of the last two books ramping up the intensity.

The worldbuilding is great, the characters are interesting and believable, and the story is entertaining. Aaron is a wonderful narrator, and his "crew" is fun. Bat is awesome. I look forward to these books every month and highly recommend the series.
We get to see more of Aaron’s emotional scars and why he reacts the way he does while also exploring his roots and where he came from. Some parts were painful while others were cute!
Love the series, I see that she has a book set out. If I was just starting to read this series, then I would buy the set. As each book is only a little over 100 pages long.
