Rate this book
Some of us are born planners. Some of us are not. But, the truth is that some things require a plan. If you’re going on vacation you don’t just get in the car and drive. You have a destination picked out and a plan to get there. The plan might include what route you’ll take, how many miles you’ll drive each day, where you’ll get gas, and where you’ll stop and rest. Getting to your destination is your goal and how you’ll get there is your Action Plan. Setting goals can help you accomplish whatever you set out to do.

In this book you’ll find step-by-step instructions on how to set SMART goals and create your personal Action Plan. You’ll be in charge of setting your own goals. You’ll be the one figuring out what you need to do and setting a time frame for doing it. But, there will be plenty of concrete examples to help you along the way. You can stop dreaming and start doing today.

About the author

Annette Richmond

Annette Richmond is the founder of Black Dog Marketing Strategies and a content marketing consultant who loves helping others share their expertise through video. Based in the metro NYC area, she's just a train ride away from Broadway, where she's been lucky enough to see Denzel Washington perform twice.

Annette's passion for storytelling began early – she was that kid reading under the covers with a flashlight. This love grew as she explored writing, moviemaking, and even worked as a producer and on-air talent for her college news magazine. She holds a BA in English with a writing concentration and a minor in media studies from Sacred Heart University, as well as an MA in psychology from Fairfield University.

For the past decade, Annette has been immersed in the world of content marketing. She discovered that sharing content on social media, particularly LinkedIn, was a fantastic way to connect with potential clients, referral partners, and collaborators. This led her to start her own LinkedIn Live broadcast, "Smarter Career and Business Moves," and fall in love with video creation.

As more colleagues sought her help, Annette realized how much she enjoyed teaching others. That's when Black Dog Marketing Strategies was born. Now, she combines her background in communications and psychology to help executives, consultants, and entrepreneurs excel in their content marketing efforts.

Annette specializes in video marketing strategies, understanding firsthand the discomfort many feel about being on camera. She's learned – and now teaches others – that the value of the message far outweighs any perceived imperfections in delivery. Her mission is to help B2B professionals overcome their hesitations and harness the power of video content in their business strategies.

When she's not working, you'll likely find Annette watching movies and spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Katie and Emma. In fact, Katie and Emma make frequent appearances in Annette's social media content, leading them to believe they're budding influencers. It's this love for her 4-legged kids that inspired Annette to name her company Black Dog Marketing Strategies.

Annette believes in the power of curiosity, willingness to try new things, and persistence – traits she admires in dogs and strives to emulate in her professional life. She brings this energy to her work, helping clients grab that metaphorical bone and create amazing content that resonates with their audience.
