Well written and well reasoned. Pincus covers several important self-defense concepts and isn't afraid to defend the concepts he's developed over the years. Some of those have defied the standard orthodoxy of combat shooting.

The book itself is expensive, but beautiful with high quality photos and paper. The binding of mine is giving way, though. Pages will be falling out soon.

I give it a 4 star because of the some poor editing that led me to cringe at times. One example is where he describes his Valhalla Training Center shoot house as being enclosed in a "steal box". It's rare, but notable given his overall clarity of writing and otherwise professional presentation of the book. An editor should have caught this.

This is not an instructional book for shooting. It's more of an overview. Still, well done overall and worth reading.
