Just when Romero thought he'd conquered his anger issues...

Now that Izzy has earned her credentials to teach at a college level, Romero is doing his best to be supportive. Even after she informs him she won't be teaching.

She'll be assisting a professor—a recently divorced professor whom she'll work with side by side.

Isabel loves being home with her kids, but she's ready to get back to her career—back to a world where she can enjoy some in-depth political conversations with someone who really gets it. The brilliant Political Science professor she's assigned to assist seems to be the perfect fit.

But when those conversations get a little personal, Isabel isn't sure if she's just being silly or if the professor is sending insidiously veiled messages.

Romero's knack for picking up on her unease only complicates things, especially because Isabel also has a big Christmas surprise for him. With suspicions awakened, Romero's interpretation of Isabel's sneakiness stirs that dormant rage he hasn't had to deal with in years, and emotions become furiously Tangled.

“She’s your wife. She loves you. She’d never cheat. She said she’ll belong to you for eternity.”

G&J:
First off we have to say we love Elizabeth Reyes. Her writing is flawless and her characters brilliantly written with such depth and we fall in love every time. The Moreno Brothers was our first series by this Author which we began reading back in 2011 and we still have fond memories of all the characters and the series as a whole. We’ve always had a real soft spot especially for Romero and his book was probably our favourite in this series. So, to say we were excited for Tangled was an understatement as we would be back with our bad tempered gorgeous alpha male and his sweet and head strong Izzy.

Tangled started off great; we were loving being back with the Moreno crew and catching up with our favourite couple. It felt like coming home to a big family we’d sorely missed. So it’s gutting to say that as the book went on we became more and more frustrated and felt increasingly dejected.

Despite the flawless writing and being back with Romero we just didn’t enjoy this novella. There wasn’t really much of a story to speak of. It felt like two hours reading about one misunderstanding and one strangely kept secret which everyone knew about pretty much except the one who deserved to know the most. It felt somewhat odd and we have to admit to feeling frustrated.

Izzy told us of an uncomfortable flirty relationship with her Employer Elliot of which we saw no real hard evidence of but were forced to accept and believe without experiencing it with her. This was not the Izzy we remembered. Romero was almost treated like a second rate person and albeit with sweet and good intentions it felt really uncomfortable as Elliot knew the big secret despite being the main instigator and crux of the misunderstanding. Was it hormones? Well, whatever it was it felt quite uncomfortable.

Romero our jealous possessive guy was the one saving grace; he was no different to what we remembered though he had softened his edges somewhat. He’s a brilliant character and we still love him dearly. He loves and protects his family and the scenes with his kids were lovely and heartfelt. We felt so sorry for him in this story as he was kept in the dark and made to look like a bit of a fool in our opinion. Perhaps the balance was off? Who knows?

Sadly; for us, this is one of those occasions where we just don’t understand the intention behind a book. There was no real new story to tell. Rather; it was a circumstance and it felt forced. Such a bloody shame and we feel heart-broken over this as we love this Author and her characters. We know we will probably be in the minority on how we felt about this story but sadly Tangled just didn’t work for us. What we’ll take from it is the love of the Moreno clan and our happy re-visit with Romero.

Ok, now I'm confused. Did I age so much since the last time I read about Romero and Izzy or did Ms Reyes dropped the ball?
See, I distinctively remember loving caveman Romero and sweet, shy Izzy but now I just see a jerk who won't let his wife work and a pushover who lets him.
I just couldn't get into it, which makes me sad because I really liked them in the first place.
Even Manny and Max where obnoxious, and I loved them!!!
I just don't know what happened here.
And if I had to read one more time how perfect Izzy was even though he didn't trust her I would seriously throw my precious kindle and crash it on the wall.
Not good people. Not good at all.
*sigh*

4 1/2 stars, whats not to like Romero...... need I say more, no I thought not. Really I could end my review there and it would make sense to anyone and everyone who read Romero (book5). When Izzy decided to go back to work Romero wasn't very happy, he really wanted another baby but because it made her happy he agreed. When He found out Izzy was working for a young divorced man it was even harder to not say anything but he didn't.

Working is perfect, and though Izzy doesn't have as much time as before she is really happy. Then her boss starts making comment that to some would be nothing, to her she wonders if he has other meanings. When something unexpected but very happy happens her friends convince her to make it a Christmas surprise, and she knows that this is the perfect thing for Romero. But soon her secret makes Romero wonder what is really going on and her boss is the top of his mind as to the reason. Now Izzy will have to keep her surprise while she also comes to grips with her boss and his intentions and Romero her possessive but loving husband.

I loved this book, it was a great Christmas book and more importantly a great novella about where Izzy and Romero have been. Romero's family is once again a great and funny addition to this story and the kids added a cute something extra. Izzy and Romero are again one of the best couples and I enjoyed every second of this book. The Moreno series is one of those series that is just right plain and simple.

Tangled was a very cute and amusing Christmas novella. Romero is one of my favorite characters in the Morenos Brothers series. Now that he's married with kids he's come a long way in controlling his hot-headed tendencies.

Izzy is excited about going back to work. Romero isn't crazy about the idea but he wants to be supportive. He's especially not crazy about Izzy working for a handsome, newly-divorced professor who seems to admire Izzy just a little too much.

But it's Christmas time so Izzy's secrets and little white lies she's known for around the holidays combined with Romero' s shit-stirring uncles, Manny and Max, make Romero jump to conclusions many, many times. Luckily his Izzy knows how to handle him.

I didn't like how many times Romero referred to Izzy as perfect. That puts some high expectations on her shoulders. Which we also had to witness by the amount of slack Izzy was NOT afforded. It felt like everyone was watching for a wrong move. I guess that's how it is with big families though. Everyone is in your business.

But, overall, it was a fun holiday read. I enjoyed it.

Eeeeep!!

It felt so good to reunite with some of my favorite characters for the holiday season. I have been a fan of Elizabeth Reyes for a few years now, and every time one of her book comes out, it's a SQUEE fest at my house! I'm happy, my husband is happy (not because he reads the books, but because I'm not around to bust his chops ... lol!) and most of all I get to fall in love with new characters or reconnect with the ones that have already stolen my heart.

Romero, Romero, Romero .... He's a real FIREBALL! Yup! Our papasote is not only a hot tamale, but he's super intense as well! When I first read his story, which is the forth book in The Moreno Brothers series, I was pleasantly surprised by him. I started to connect with him in the previous books and by the time he got his own story I felt like I understood him more. Romero is DIFFERENT! And, that's what I absolutely love about him! He's far from being perfect, but that's what makes him the unique and memorable character that he is. I was so happy to learn that we were going to check-in with Romero and Izzy. They have a special place in my heart and I could not wait to get some much needed RomIzzy updates!

A few years have passed since Romero and Izzy got married and they have two beautiful children. Izzy has been taking care of the kids and her teaching career has been on hold. Now that the kids are older, she takes a step towards her teaching career. As the days go by, Romero can't shake the feeling that Izzy is hiding something. What sets his blood on is how close she got to Professor Banderas. Will he be able to deal with this unexpected situation or will his old temper come back and take control of him?

I absolutely loved this novella! I am so proud of the way Romero and Izzy resolved this whole ''Izzy going back to work" situation. Romero's not really happy about it, but Izzy is his life and he wants to see her smile be happy. He would do anything for her and he grew so much from the hot tempered person that he was when I first met him. The communication between a couple is very important. We could see that a few lies, even if they were told with no bad intention could cause a lot of trouble for a couple. What I liked the most about this novella is that it's so easy to relate to what Izzy and Romero went through. It does not mean because we have found ''The One'' that everything will be easy peasy in the future. They had to overcome some obstacles that neither of them expected, but they did it TOGETHER, which is the most important thing.

I had a blast reading Tangled! I was so happy to reunite with The Morenos and my heart absolutely melted for one of Elizabeth Reyes' alphas. I won't tell you which one, but you will totally swoon just like I did when you read a specific mall scene between Izzy and Mr. Swoon. Gah!!!!! I wish all of Elizabeth Reyes' characters would get their own novella!! I can't get enough of them and of her beautiful and unforgettable stories!

I give, Tangled, by Elizabeth Reyes 4.5 fun, fast-paced, sexy stars!

>Book Review – Tangled

>I am an independent reviewer. This is a Moreno brothers’ novella and ends in an HEA. I haven’t read any of the Moreno brothers’ series, but was able to follow the story without any problem.

>Romero is a former hothead, now married to the love of his life, Izzy. Together they have 2 young children. Romero forces himself to keep his temper in check using the love he has for his family as his coping tool. His crazy uncles provide a lot of the comedy in the story, especially their inability to whisper.

>Izzy returns to the work force, causing some jealousy in Romero, who fights to control himself. The problem is, there really is a problem and his anger is justified. The subtlety of the advances Izzy’s new boss uses are extremely realistic. Not really knowing if her boss is really implying things or if she is imagining everything, Izzy is uncomfortable. I have been in a similar situation and know how Izzy feels.

>I love the Alpha protectiveness of Romero and seeing such a flowed man overcome with love for his family. I definitely want to read this series so I can see more of these characters. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this story 5 stars.

I decided to read this bc I was a fan of Romero and Izzy. It was nice to see them as adults and parents. However, this story had the same problems that all the stories Elizabeth Reyes writes have and that is that it is bogged down in minutia. It was so annoying that every word and gesture was the focal point of the conflict. There are lengthy explanations about what someone was doing and saying and no real story. I felt like this could have been a shorter story. Plus, Izzy decides to go back to work but then weeks later decides she is fine staying at home. I was disappointed that with her education she just wanted to be a stay at home mom. This did not sound like the Izzy I thought I knew.

Riding the Wave

As usual Romero is as handsome, possessive, dominant and still wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to his beautiful wife Izzy. All though Isabel, has managed to tame the beast within, their lives have taken a new turn. Isabelle is ready to take on a new challenge and it driving Romero crazy to the point of unleashing all the inner demons he has managed to cage up for the sake of his family.

Fantastic as usual. No matter how much we trust someone, if they are constantly being sneaky we will doubt that trust. No one comes out and announces they are not trust worthy. I think this novella was awesome. It touched on that truth. Izzy and Romero are as always fantastic. Love it, and as with anything Elizabeth Reyes writes a must read.

Idk how I feel about this!
He didn’t trust his wife enough to be around her single co-worker.
All of his focus was on cheating,
Is she talking to him?
Laughing at his jokes?
Working with him in the class?
Why did she pick a new perfume?
Is she dreaming about him?
Wtf!
She’s working and she’s happy be supportive!
Even if the guy is flirting with her she can handle it!
Give her some credit!

Lindy's Thoughts:

The Moreno Series, by Elizabeth Reyes, is what got me back in to reading, and to this day, I love it as much as when I first discovered this memorable and favorite cast of characters. Whenever I get the opportunity to read a book by Ms. Reyes, I immediately drop whatever I am reading, because I know that it will be an excellent read. She delivers the cream of the crop when it comes to romantic, sexy, and fun stories!

In Tangled, we get a Christmas Novella featuring the very hot-tempered and uber scrumptious apha, Romero. His wife Izzy, has decided to return back to work, so that she can utilize her graduate degree in Political Science, and do what she's dreamed of; delivering college lectures! Romero and Izzy have a wonderful life and beautiful family. Their two children, six year old Mandy, and four year old Romeo, are the apple of both of their eyes. Romero wants to have more children and have his wife stay home raising them, whereas, Izzy's been leaning toward being done having children and returning to the workforce for good.

Romero has matured a lot, and learned how to control his notorious temper in the several years that him and Izzy have been married. However, his temper, restraint, and sense of security is tested when he becomes suspicious of the professor's motives that Izzy is working for. Can Romero trust Izzy or does he have something to really worry about?

Tangled was a real page-turning treat! I loved seeing how Romero and Izzy have evolved as individuals and a couple over the years. Their children were adorable, and Romero's uncles were hilarious as usual. Although they stirred up more trouble than necessary! I loved getting glimpses of Angel, Alex, Sal, Val, Brandon, and Gina! Can I say that I fell a little more in love with Brandon, even though this was Romero's book? He's such a sweet, loving, and amazing husband! All of the quality time that Izzy and Romero spend with the Moreno's make this story all the more wonderful to read!

My Rating:

Romero and Izzy still have that beautiful, and passionate love affair going on that they had at the very beginning. They may be married with kids, but their relationship still has the romantic and tender moments, as well as heated and sexy moments! I give, Tangled, by Elizabeth Reyes, 4 Spicy Jealousy, Sexy Smirk, Passionate Love Filled Stars!!!

Tangled by Elizabeth Reyes
A Moreno Brother’s Holiday Novella
Romero and Izzy have been married for some time now. Their daughter is in school full time and young Romeo is heading to pre-k. And Izzy...she’s heading back to the work world. She has earned a few degrees along the way and can now teach at the university. Okay, so she’ll be working as an assistant with the recently divorced professor, but it’s a great opportunity.

Romero has learned to control his temper through the years, extremely well. Not once has Mandy or Romeo seen their dad behave as a raging madman. But he is getting close to that point right now. His Izzy is acting strangely and he does not like the professor guy at all.

What fun to revisit with the Moreno’s and friends once again. Romero’s uncles are obnoxious as always, maybe worse. Manny is not helping Romero hold his temper by putting ideas in his head that Izzy is acting suspiciously. Can Romero make it without losing control and ending up in jail for the holidays? You’ll have to read Tangled to find out.

I love Romero and his caveman ways but I just couldn't get into this book. I even tried to read it on two different occasions.

I guess its just the topic of cheating, or the wiff of the possibility of it, that just doesn't resonate with me.

i understand Ms. Reyes wanting to milk the series of all its worth but in my opinion she should have left the series how she originally wrote it. I hated Angel's and Sarah's secod book, it was so useless with all the insecurities resurfacing. It was like taking 100 steps back. Same thing is happening with Val and Alex's additional book. I've started it twice now to just stop reading a couple of chapters in.

These additional books have been, in my opinion a wasted effort. If she wanted to extend the series her time could have been better spent by writting books about the next generetion of Moreno's and Romero's. That I would run to the store to buy.

Nothing really stood out in this novella, but I enjoyed reading it. Romero and Izzy as a couple: more trust and communication & less jumping to conclusions. From my understanding, Romero has always been a hot tempered, jealous individual. So for Izzy to even try to surprise him while he's already a little upset about her boss, was just adding fuel to the fire. Izzy herself acted clueless half the time. I love the family love shown throughout, but Manny and Max need to know when to shut up and let married people do what they do.

How did I get all that from this novella? Well, instead of a straight narrative, we have the author telling what's going on and not showing. In between the scarce conversations, the characters just takes us through the motions and it really irked me. I was so glad to finish this one.

Not a bad read, but I feel this is just an unnecessary short story and it felt like not much effort was put into it.

I loved Tangled! Getting more Romero was a great early Christmas present! I've missed his short temper and dirty mouth. Now that several years have gone by and their kids are in school, Isabel has the chance to go back to work. You know her working with a man would cause issues for Romero, no matter what. This story was very entertaining. I love being in his head, especially while he tries to calm himself down. He has grown up over the years, but he is still a hot head at his core. I am glad he hadn't changed that much. One of the best parts of reading about these two again is getting more Max and Manny. They are the best characters! So funny and endearing! I always laugh when they are in the scene. Tangled was a heartwarming story with lots of laughs, Romero drama and plenty of HEAs!! Loved it!

Tangled and fun!

Absolutely loved reading about Romero & Izzy's lives several years after their marriage. Now with kids, and of course Romero's uncles Manny & Max are back and still making me laugh. Sneak peek of course in on some of the Moreno's as well as Izzy's sister Gina & her husband Brandon. So even with the story surrounding Izzy going back to work and a Christmas surprise for Romero, we still got to check out some old favorites. I actually think this could be read as a stand alone Christmas story, but it will probably make you want to go back and check out how some of them met and got together. I think Elizabeth Reyes did a great job on this one!

Romero, Izzy and kids

Very well written. Romero is still intense, so when Izzy gets a college internship working with a divorced man he starts to wonder if something is going on when Izzy seems to be keeping things from him. ER has a very keen mind while weaving her stories together. Things fall into place effortlessly.

A waste of time

After reading this book, I asked myself what is the point of this story. I would say it is more like a soap opera. I also didn't like how syrupy it was at times. I did not enjoy it and I will not be reading any more books by this author.
