Stacey Logan was born and raised in Country Victoria, Australia.

She has written plays, poems, articles, reviews and far too many dinner orders as she made her living as a waitress until she ran out of excuses for not doing what her heart truly desired; writing books.

Despite being a qualified Editor and Proofreader, Stacey is guilty of accomplishing things in a non-linear fashion. Her debut novel BOOTCAMP: Daughter of the Lakota, was intended to be a stand-alone book, but she soon realized it was part of a trilogy. The prequel (Shadow of Hope) and a sequel (Heart of a Nation) followed within a year.

Her next project was of far greater scope. She began working on The Dragonbone Legacy as a teenager and again, true to her inability to begin at the beginning, she started writing the last book first, again with the foolish notion it would be a stand-alone. Going back to the beginning, she discovered the range of stories that needed to be told to make her “one” novel come to life and so the Legacy was born. Currently finishing off the Second series within the collection, she is looking forward to producing many more works in this world of magic, adventure and, oh yeah, dragons.

Set in the wake of a destructive world war, a strong and determined young woman is drawn into a journey of self discovery; mind, body and spirit.
This is a great book! Full of original ideas (no wizards or vampires anywhere), the world Stacey Logan has created is scarily believable, but it captures the excitement of being a completely new world.
A great work of fiction and imagination, filled with gritty characters and enough plot twists and action to keep the reader hooked till the very end. This is a great story, brilliantly told by an excellent writer. If you are a fan of good books, you'll love reading BOOTCAMP: Daughter of the Lakota.

I loved the story! Seeing as I have never read a military story, I was unsure how I would like it, but it was great! I also liked the intertwined native american stories/visions. I didn't like that the characters were sometimes referred to by their first names and then other times, by their last names. It really hard to keep the characters straight in the beginning. I also didn't like that the were inside the thoughts of everyone at the end instead of the story being told by just one perspective. It was a little messy keeping track of everyone in the end.

While this book started out to be a bit disappointing with the main character Bryony mostly thinking about having sex. It did a turn-a-round from an "It was OK" to "I really liked it" story.

It was a good coming of age story with a very light brush of Native American Shamanism thrown in, in a post apocalyptic world.

While the next book to come out in this trilogy, will be a prequel. I am looking forward a bit to the sequel to this book.

Thanks for the good story Stacey.

Excellent book!! It deserves a 10 star but we can only go up to 5. I loved the action, mystery, characters and plot of the story. It was an easy read book and one of those books that is HARD to put down! From the first page until the last it was full of adventure! I'm not usually one for series but I can't wait until the 2nd book comes out, Shadow of Hope. Thank you Stacey Logan for an excellent book! And thank you Goodreads for another awesome FREE giveaway!!
