Despair, sadness, misery are Allah's creations. Only Allah can remove His creations. Allah creates happiness, only Allah can give it to whomever He wants.
.
I love everything about this book. The language is simple. The price is cheap. The elaboration is short for each step to attain happiness. Some of the sentences pierced into my heart that made me reflect and relate it with my life experiences.
.
Even though it only has 98 pages and can be finished in one sitting, it took me 3 days to finish. Each chapter made me think. I spent a lot of time thinking, relating and finding ways how to practice it in daily life.
.
I love how this book made me feel like I need other three notebooks to fully utilize '30 ways to attain happiness'. The first notebook is used to write reflections. The second notebook is actually my 2021 journal which I'll use to practice one tip per day. The third notebook is to list unknown words used (yea I still have one book specifically for vocabulary like we did in school)
.
I love how this book using the Quran to derive the tips. It made me go upstairs, get my Quran and highlight the verses used. Reading it is like reading al-Quran and really understand the verses.
.
Since today is 18th February. I decided to practice the 18th way to attain happiness. Thus, I noted it in the journal.

Beautifully written, a good advice for us who always wonder and ask about our existence and how to achieve happiness.

Happiness, what I understand from my perspective in reading and Islam, is happiness in our religion comes with calmness.

The reminder written in the book is to educate ourselves on how to stay calm and see the world beyond our minds. There are so many hikmah and ibrah, even the small things that happen to us are something we should be grateful for to stay sane.

As I go deeper into the books, this book is also can be a starter pack to help ourselves from depression but in a prophetic way. I love how this book tells us that simple things yet necessary for us to do but instead of seeing and doing it without engaging it with our religion, we see and do it in Islamic ways.

But there are certain things I disagree with our writer when it comes to mental health, treating mental health should be the same as physical health. Avoiding prejudice and skepticism towards our Muslim friends who are fighting for their mental well-being is needed for us. It is good for us to be frugal with the stance of mental health and iman.

To read this book is to open our hearts and minds, and acknowledge the points that were mentioned in the book for us to become good Muslims.

The one who does good does not miss its reward. And the rule between Allah and mankind is not eliminated.

I have finished reading this a week ago. The book is very thin I would say. But I love the chapters that were being discussed by the author.

Some of the chapters I would say redundant but if you see it from another point of view, repeating something similar few times actually helps us a lot in remembering right.

4🌟 read for me. For more details on the book review you may check it out in my IG @kakellereads ❤️

This is my first book from Arabic translation.
Ever since I went Umrah with my family last month, I decided I wanted to read more of Islamic books and then I went to the bookstore in the mall across Al-Haram and picked up this copy.

I love how every chapter in this book is completed with a verse from Quran. The exact proof how Quran has it all - even every little thing needed for our daily life.

This was a light and easy, (approx.) 1-hour read... filled with great messages with references to the Holy Quran (which is great. References I feel are always important when it comes to writing a religious/spiritual book). However, it has to be said that my reading was slightly marred by the constant misprints by the Malaysian publisher of this book! Hopefully, it was sorted in the newer editions.

The book was simple yet contained very sound advices to be a good and pious Muslims. This was translated from Arabic so some parts of the sentences, the words used were confusing and did not seem to reach the actual meanings. Other than this in general some advises & virtues were already known among Muslims.

It's a thin book that you can finish reading in 1 day. It gives us tips on how to be happy in Islam way. The book is good for people who are depressed, reminding us what we should avoid or do in order to achieve happiness, and also giving us practical ways of attaining the happiness.
