Bethany and Levinia Miller have always been rival sisters. When they discover a handsome Englischer barely conscious on the bank of Willow Creek, rivalry comes out in its ugliest form as they argue over who will get to care for him. Despite knowing their father would never approve of their actions, they decide to stow away the Englischer in the loft above their barn. While they compete for his attention, it becomes evident that the Englischer has a few secrets of his own. While Nate recovers, he finds himself getting lost in the care of these two young Amish women, leaving him wondering if he might want to stay. But when another woman shows up looking for him, things become more complicated than any of them could have possibly anticipated.
Amish Brides of Willow Creek: Sibling Rivalry: Willow Creek Novella: Book One By: Samantha Jillian Bayarr
I think I have read about every book Samantha has written. Jacob's Daughter series was like a number one series to me. In reading Amish Brides of Willow Creek this series is going to go to the top. I love the characters. Each one is well written and a character you are going to love or dislike but love in the end. Just like in our lives story of two sisters Bethany and Levinia who always wants what the other has. The two come upon a man laying on the edge of Willow creek. Not knowing if he is alive or dead. Levinia wants to check him out but Bethany wants to run to get their father. Levinia gets her to help to help him and put him in the barn to care for him. Nate begins to have feelings for one of these sisters. Which sister is it? Who's heart will he win? Wait there is a unexpected woman shows up looking for him? What does she have to do with Nate? Well all I can say is get this book and find out the answers to all these questions and more. I give this book 5 stars. Looking forward to book 2 Second Chances.
This is a great book. The way Levinia s father treats her after her twin brother dies is awful. Levinia and Nates story is amazing and beautiful. Miriam is really a evil person. You won't be able to stop reading this book.
by Samantha Bayarr in her Amish Brides of Willow Creek series. I enjoyed this story immensely. The story flowed along at a good pace and kept me turning the pages. There are a couple small mysteries throughout this story and how they unfold will probably surprise you.
I enjoyed the characters of Lavinia and Bethany. There is some sibling rivalry taking place between the two girls but not enough to tear them apart. These two young ladies show just how sisters should stick together. The character I didn't care for was Miriam. She was devious and mean spirited.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached by anyone to post a favorable review. I have rated this book with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. I look forward to the next installment of this series.
Congratulations to Samantha Bayarr for releasing this fantastic story for her readers to enjoy.
4 stars I purchased the Amish Sibling box set by Sandra Becker 4/8/2017 and this review was given freely. This is a collection of four short stories centered around the siblings Martha, John, Sarah and Sarah's brother in law Paul. Each snippet covers the time of initial meeting, a struggle with a life choice which may not be accepted by their community, and then marriage. Each story is brief, written with the modern English flavor of the Amish language and provides you different glimpses into the Amish culture.
Is the hurt man English or Amish? Lavinia and her sister find him. Lavinia tends to him and they take him back to their house. Being the oldest and tending to her younger sister, Lavinia has missed out out going to singings and meeting Amish men. The death of her twin brother, haunts her. She has mostly tended to business since his death. This mystery man is handsome and she finds herself falling for him. When another woman comes fighting for this man, will Lavinia have any chance with him?
A sweet story of sisters growing up and learning from each other. They were able to grow and help each other reach. I liked how different they were, but how they learned to bring out the best in each other.
Once again, Samantha Jillian Bayarr delivers with a gripping, heart wrenching saga of jealousy, heart ache, humor, anger, love & forgiveness in the rawest form. Two Amish sisters and sibling rivalry of the worst kind, the same man! As plain ol’ Levina vies with her beautiful sister, Bethany, for Nate’s attention, like a whirlwind, Miriam appears, shattering Levina’s life, once again. As Levina suffers through travesty and more heartache than she can possibly bear, does she have the strength to hold on to her dreams of love and life with a family of her own? Will her faith to wait on GOD’s timing, knowing he will bring her the desires of her heart, be enough? True to previous writings, Bayarr’s Novella is a good clean read, great for any age.
Samantha has definitely delivered another wonderful book series.
This book is sibling rivalry at its finest. Levinia is the older sister that tries to hold the family together and take care of things around the house. Bethany is the younger sort of bratty sister that always wants to have her way and never wants to work for anything. When a stranger comes into their lives it brings yet something else for the sisters to rival over.
Just when you think everything is going to work out for the best for one or both of the sisters, another stranger comes to town. I love all of the characters in the book. Don't think your opinion of the characters at the first of the book can't change, because by the end you may just be shocked!!!
I enjoyed this story and have started on the second book in the series. At first when a phone issue came up at the beginning of the story, I had to pause and research the Amish community because from what I remembered they didn't have phones. However, the research shows lots of changes have crept in across the board of Amish communities over the years, so with my new understanding, I was able to continue with the book and just enjoy the story.
Another great clean, Christian romance book by this author. My favorite characters in this book was Levinia and Nate. Brought together because of an accident, they knew they were in love. But could a stranger change all their plans for the future?
Really enjoyed the characters and I'm looking forward to the sequels. Another good book by Samantha Jillian Bayard. I always enjoy her wholesome books. She always proves that a good book can be written without sex and violence.
Although the book got a bit of a slow start, it picked up considerably once the "other woman" entered the picture. I appreciated the effort by the author to show growth in both the sister and the father, although the father's felt a bit rushed to be complete. Overall, it was an enjoyable story, and I will likely purchase the other three books in this series.
