Dulcie Bloom was trying to find work when she had an accident and ended up in Sugarville Grove. Her car was totaled. She ended up fainting when she arrived at the mechanic shop where it was towed by a nice older gentleman. They called the doctor, West Lawerence. He checks her out and seems to think it’s because she hasn’t eaten in a while. Dulcie is trying to save money so she can support her younger sister and give her a home. The two girls has had a rough life with their father after the death of their mother. She tells them she’s looking for work and West feels like he can take her to the family farm and get her some help. Something tells him that’s what he should do. West offers her to watch his four year old daughter, Elizabeth. As they spend time together, Elizabeth gets attached to Dulcie, who Elizabeth calls Dulcie a princess. West seems to find her attractive. Maybe it’s because he hasn’t been in a relationship since his wife left him to raise their daughter alone. He knows he too old for Dulcie. Dulcie feels safe with West and knows she can trust him. Or can she? She does have a crush on him. Will a secret ruin any chance to have a better life on the ranch with a family? She and her sister never had anything like that before. Maybe she’s just kidding herself. The characters are wonderful. Dulcie and West both deserve a second chance. Can the two move forward with a future? What will happen with Dulcie’s sister? Will she see her sister again? I couldn’t put the book down. I was rooting for all of them. Worth the read. Clara Pines makes you feel like you’re right there with the characters. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily
Sweet Home (Sugarville Grove Book 5) By: Clara Pines
5 Stars
A snowy fairytale. That's what I felt like I was reading with this book. When Dulcie crashes on the outskirts of Sugarville Grove, she gets more than what she bargained for. Looking for just a job, she ends up at the Lawrence farm. With West. The town doctor.
West can tell Dulcie has been through something. He has the strong urge to help her. When she comes into his and his daughter's life, she ends up helping them more.
I absolutely adored this story. From the moment Dulcie, quite literally, crashes into Sugarville Grove, magic is in the making. A small town with charm and magic in bulk, Sugarville Grove is just the place for healing. This little town and the characters have completely won my heart. I love it all. The bits of drama, the SNOW, the romance. This book brings the feel and magic of Christmas all year long.
This is the 5th book in the Sugarville Grove series and is one that tugs at your heart in multiple ways. It doesn’t matter if you are reading this book when it is over 80 degrees outside, you are whisked away to this small town in the north east, filled with love, laughter, snow and romance.
Dulcie Bloom’s grandfather had told her and her sister tales about going from small town to small town working to make a decent living and now decades later she was trying to find out if it was still true. She was desperately trying to save enough money up and find a decent place for her and her sister. What she wasn’t expecting though was for the car to crash, her to be rescued by a kindly tow truck driver and then to be rescued again by the town doctor. This town seemed to have this magical power to help those in need through love and kindness, Dulcie’s only hope is that a few things she is hiding never comes out until she can tell people what why. The only problem is she is falling for the town doctor and by the look of it he is might feel the same.
West Lawrence believes in helping others and his way of giving back to the town he was raised in is by being the local doctor. When he helps out a damsel in distress he can’t deny that he has an attraction to her and his daughter has fallen in love with her. But is the story she telling the truth or is there something else going on behind the scenes. The one thing he doesn’t want to go through is another broken heart.
Thanks to the author and 1852 Media for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion
Looking for a sweet romance with the setting of Christmas in the perfect small town? Then this is your story! Dulcie is looking to make lots of money fast, but when she winds up totaling her car short of her final destination she is determined to make the best of a bad situation. Fortunately she found herself in good hands, from the tow truck driver to the mechanic and finally a handsome doctor who makes house calls. West rushes over to the auto shop when he gets a call about a young lady who was in a car accident. Realizing that she had no injuries but most likely has skipped a few meals his heart goes out to her. He offers her a solution, a place to stay and a job at the farm once she is up to it. Then his sitter has a family emergency and his daughter is enjoying time spent with Dulcie. A win! Win or is it? Love the mystery that surrounds Dulcie and her total focus in saving her little sister. This can be read as a standalone but I suggest read the series, it’s very enjoyable. Thank you to the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. #SweetHome

West is raising a four year old daughter (Elizabeth) alone since his exwife walked out on both of them. Dulcie is invited too stay in the guest room at West’s house until she can pull her life together. Dulcie and Elizabeth are an instant match and love each other instantly. West’s heart melts as he connects with Dulcie also. They each have a past they are trying to work through. This another real life story to hold our attention!
I was so happy to be back in the beautiful small town of Sugarville Grove enchanted by Christmas spirit all over the town and glittering snow. It was like being in a magical fairy tale with the wonderful people who stand by their own as the tight knitted community works. Dulcie Bloom and West Lawrence’s literally a crash story feels like they were meant to meet. Different backgrounds and different upbringing but the most common thing that makes them a perfect fit is the warmest big heart and wanting to help people every way they can. Add to all that a delightful and seriously wise four years old little girl Elizabeth and the story becomes even more magical. I adored this sweet heartwarming Christmas romance and I suggest it to anyone who loves Christmas any day of the year.
As with all of the books in this series, this was a lovely story with interesting and relatable characters.

5 Star Review Sweet Home (Sugarville Grove #3) by Clara Pines
It was wonderful to be back in Sugarville Grove for single dad West Lawrence and the woman who brings light into his life, Dulcie’s story.
Meeting Dulcie makes West question whether his four year old daughter Elizabeth needs a mother and realise that he is lonely.
As they got to know one another you could see how much Dulcie wanted to stay, she finally felt as though she had found a home.
Could Dulcie bring light into their life and give them what they didn’t know they were missing or will they be torn apart when her past catches up with her?
Dulcie is new to Sugarville Grove. She had a moose encounter and lost control of her car. A quick rescue, a chance meeting with West who is the local doctor and a job as his nanny when he feels she is at loose ends and needs a safe place to land. As Dulcie and Elizabeth become closer, West also realizes he is developing feelings for Dulcie. Elizabeth calls Dulcie her princess. When her past catches up to her and doubts arise will West trust in his heart and feelings. Sugarville Grove residents and the Lawrence family weave a magical Christmas for Dulcie, West, Elizabeth and her sister. A great addition to this series. 5+ stars.
Sweet addition to the Sugarville Grove series by Clara Pines. West and Elizabeth get their second chance at family with Dulcie. Dulcie is heading to Vermont to try to make enough money to get her sister to come live with her. On the way she has has an accident and is rescued by West who’s a single dad and the town doctor. The attraction is there for both of them but timing and circumstances seem to always get in the way. Things from the past cause conflict. I received this as an ARC reader and am leaving my unbiased review.
Sugarville Grove is becoming one of my favorite places to visit. Dulcie and West have a really fun meet cute. And quickly find themselves falling. Each trying really hard not to fall for the other. I loved that when trouble comes their way they communicate and fix it. These stories have heart and heartache and healing and happiness all in a lovely holiday setting. This book is a great way to spend a few hours regardless of what time of year it is.
A sweet story about a girl named Dulce who finds herself stranded in Sugargrove after her car breaks down. Wear the local doctor is asked to come check on her at the local garage where a local repair person found her on the side of the road. I found this story in the series to be sweet and the connections that the characters make with each other and West’s daughter one that seem realistic. Another great story in the Sugargrove series where you want to see the characters have a happy ending. Sarah
If there was one word to sum up the Sugarville Grove Series, it is HOPE.
Hope for those that think they have lost their way - not just in love but in life. Ma'am, Clara Pines, you have made an ART (which all authors are artists) in these books (you and Tess!)
I feel like an overwhelming pull for my "Sweet Home." The narrators make you feel the warmth and depth that this story holds, all the while making their own journeys. Making home feel even sweeter.
Sweet Home by Clara Pines is such a sweet and uplifting story. Finding herself stranded in Sugarville Grove as she was passing through, Dulcie suddenly found unconditional acceptance and help when she least expected it. This is a great story of community, family, and love!
What happens when you spide on ice and wreck your car? You just might meet the love of your life. Dulcie has never had good luck. Her mom died, and her dad was just a terrible parent. She basically raised her younger sister after their mom died. West is the beloved town doctor who comes to her rescue after she faints getting out of the tow truck after her car gets wrecked. Sometimes, all you need is a little luck, a cute doctor with a small child, and a Christmas Miracle.

Dulcie is traveling thru town when her car crashes and she is forced to stay while her car is checked out. West is called to ensure that Dulcie has not suffered and life threatening injuries. He surely didn’t expect sparks to fly. Or to bring a stranger into his daughter’s live. But, things happen. You won’t want to miss this love story. Enjoy!!
The residents of Sugarville Grove once again show their true spirit. The Lawrence family embraces young Dulce Bloom when she is trended in town after wrecking her car. Dulcie is young lady with a secret agenda of saving her little sister from a loveless life with a neglectful father.
Single father, and town doctor West is immediately taken with her “Princess” like nature. Realizing Dulcie needs food, he takes her home. The Lawrence family immediately surrounds Dulcie with love, support and acceptance, proving family is about the way people treat each other
Will Dulcie’s past catch up with her? What does the future hold for West and Dulciie? Can Dulcie fulfill her promise to be reunited with her sister?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. THis review is my honest opinion.
It was lovely being back in Sugarville Grove and spending time with the Lawrence family. These books always make me smile as they all have a feel good story and the most wonderful characters and Dulcie, West and Elizabeth were all so warm and caring. This is a beautiful series and it gives you a real sense of family. Can’t wait to read more. Five stars all the way.
West comes from a loving and supportive family. Dulcie’s family-the exact opposite. They meet and the roller coaster ride begins. Attraction, secrets, hurts and surprises from the past bring out lots of feels. Can they say “Everything is new for us now”?
This sweet and wonderful romance was moving and emotional. I loved Dulcie and West. They made my heart turn into a pile of pure mush. West's daughter Elizabeth was a real cutie, and this book was just a true delight.
Better than any movie! She draws pictures with her words and the characters come to life. I never tire of reading her books. You'll love the story in this one!
