This book picks up action, character development, history, and loads of anticipation for the next book in the series. Truly like this series and recommend reading the series in publication order. I’m late in putting down my reviews (just finished Book 4- Devotion) and am now confident of my review reliability. You truly need to read this series! There are characters I love, hate, love-to-hate, and those that I literally cheer. Great author imagination with perfectly placed characters in each geographical location. I am a fan!
I am really enjoying this series! It does take a little while to get into action outside of getting busy but it certainly makes me want to move right into the next book! Looking forward to book 3. And I’m really into Darius…I so want more of that!!
The FMC is a cheater. Plain and simple. I don't actually mind the cheating, but she's a liar. I can't stand that aspect. The "team" that was so concerned about trust and having no secrets, is riddled with them. It makes the first book seem ridiculous in hindsight. I forgave a lot of holes in book one, and character traits and dynamics that I wasn't quite sure about. Book two threw everything from book one out the window. It's quite terrible. The characters are 90% aggressive all the time. There are always fights and jealousies. I'm giving up. Lame and ridiculous.
