Peter Galligan doesn't know a thing about women -- his ex-wife says so. But one day, he lucks into two blind dates. Each of the women is beautiful. But each seems to be hiding something. Before Pete knows what is happening, he's running for his life. Running from Mafia thugs who could break him in two; running from Federal agents who seem to want to lock him up forever. Both sides want something from him, but he hasn't a clue what that something is.


And the two blind dates? Pete suspects that if he doesn't figure out what they're hiding, he'll be dead before too long . . .

About the author

Geoff Loftus is the author of the Jack Tyrrell novels: The Devil's Vacation, Purgatory, Turn From Evil, Casual Slaughters, Fracture of the Soul, No Traveler Returns, Dangerous Purpose, The Last Thing, Dark Mirage, and Murderous Spirit. His upcoming Jack Tyrrell thriller is Repentance. He has also written the thrillers: The Dark Saint, Engaged to Kill, and Double Blind.

He was the 2010 Keynote Speaker at the Eisenhower Legacy Dinner at the Eisenhower Presidential Museum and Library. He has been gainfully employed in business journalism and corporate communications for more than a quarter-century. Working both freelance and on staff, he has worked for Condé Nast, Deloitte Consulting, Fairchild Publications and News Corp., as well as non-profit organizations such as The Conference Board and the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals.

Like many writers, Geoff once dreamed of writing the great American novel but gave that up in an attempt to write the great American screenplay. The closest he came to that lofty achievement was writing Hero in the Family with John Drimmer for The Wonderful World of Disney. He has been a member of the Writers Guild of America, East for more than thirty years.

He lives in Scarsdale, New York with his wife, Margy.

Awesome novel. I loved the way this book hooked me from the beginning. So full of action, some suspense and even thrills. I absolutely love Peter with his sense of humor. The characters are very good. I really got caught up with every thing that was going on. I didn't know what would happen next. The story was well written. A definite add to your tbr list. Recommended!!

Since I wrote Double Blind, I think it's pretty darn entertaining. Sexy, violent, funny, with a twist-and-turn plot that involves beautiful women, Mafiosi, Federal agents and attorneys, and New York City. Great book to read while you travel or hit the beach.

A fast-paced, gripping, can't-put-down read. The hero is a little heroic, a little geeky; the women are strong, mysterious, and beautiful. When they all come together, big things happen. All in all a terrific combination.

This mystery was a perfect holiday read. The opening chapter sucked me in and kept me turning the pages. Once in, the premise was original and the protagonist was likable. Author Geoff Loftus has a good ear for dialog and a good sense of action. I hope to see more from this author.
