Mixed feelings about this book.

although it was a ok book to read I don't like the fact that it was too similar to the movie called the bodyguard with whitney houston and kevin costner.

My Review of Her Italian Protector by Rosa Foxx. My first book by this author.

This is Mary and Gianni’s story. The story is told only in Mary’s prospective. The story starts off very slow for me until the couple meet, then the story takes off. Again I love that the couple share their true feelings for each other and their attraction is instant.

The fly in the ointment throughout the whole story for me was Mary’s best friend Becca. She is so negative and she did not want Mary and Gianni to be together from the beginning. I absolutely disliked her with a passion and I definitely wanted to give her a good slapping! There a twist in the end with regard to her friend.

I enjoyed the story, it is a short read. I would recommend this story.

Pause on the one-click...

I'm glad I purchased the book when it was $0.99. I would have been upset if I paid full price. Almost all events happen in about a week. The guy falls in love almost immediately and though he is hired to be a bodyguard, he is portrayed as more of a boyfriend. The one character I found to be likable turned out to be the villain. Again, I would wait until the book is on sale again to purchase.
