“I was a prisoner, a number, a toy. She was the queen, a name, and a tool.”

Kaylan

Kaylan Bennett is supposed to be dead—a ghost, erased from Squad Two’s records. Now, she plays a dangerous game, pretending loyalty to a captor she despises. But as her connection to Logan deepens, her facade begins to crack, and her heart becomes her greatest vulnerability.

What can I say? Logan Carlton, I love you even more and I didn’t know if that was even possible 🥹

freaking loved this one. Tbh I waited hopefully and Bakul fucking delivered. It was well written and action paced like the previous one. Full of action with overwhelming emotions.

the storyline between Logan and Kaylan was very different from Book 1 and it was refreshing although it hurt to read because of the topic. But the characters are so well written and deep. Even with funny moments in times of total chaos. I loved every conversation about them two and with the Squad members . The whole atmosphere of this series is just chefs kiss 😘

Logan, just a cute and selfharming character because of his feelings and the pang of guilt everytime he breath.

Kaylan, who sacrifices herself but is so damn strong in every way.

They both are like fated mates bond by trauma. But their love for each other is so much more.

This was my first ever ARC read!
Alpha six squad has my heart! Logan's death in the first book will make you want to read the second book! The journey of Logan and Kaylan (who are surprisingly not dead) was just amazing! I loved how they escaped from their captivity, how they overcomed their traumatic experience, how they forgived each other and how they put a stop to the antagonist. I didn't just love the main characters but every other characters as well! Even though Kaylan and Logan went through their own share of hell, they beautifully grew as individuals through the book and did not loose hope! Also Bakul Sharma has beautifully depicted the friendship of the whole squad and has given a lot of importance to mental health right from the beginning of the story, which I absolutely loved! Safe to say, I will be reading the third book and every other book that gets released in this series and urge you guys to do so too!! Anything with strong male and female characters, tight knit friendship, found family and some action is one of my favorite plot lines to read and safe to say this didn't disappoint me!

"Some scars are invisible—but they still bleed.”
Bakul Sharma’s Bound by Thorns is not just a dark romance—it's an emotionally shattering journey through pain, healing, and the desperate yearning to be believed.❤️

At the heart of the story is Kaylan, a character so vividly written that her suffering felt like my own. There’s a particular part in the novel—where she is sexually harassed—that broke me completely. I cried the entire night after reading it. Not just because of the brutality of what happened, but because of the aftermath… the loneliness, the disbelief she faced, and the silence that screamed louder than any accusation. Bakul Sharma didn’t just write a scene—she carved it into the soul of the reader.😭😭

And yet, what made this story unforgettable was the slow but powerful emotional arc between Kaylan and Logan. When Logan begins to finally trust her again, I had to put the book down, tears still fresh in my eyes. That one moment felt like breathing again after drowning for chapters. His shift from cold distance to protective warmth is what true character redemption should look like.❤️❤️

A haunting, heartbreaking, and ultimately healing dark romance.

I love this book so much ❤️❤️❤️

This book broke me and healed me at the same time. I absolutely love, love, love this book! I have read it twice now—once as a beta reader and now as an ARC reader—and every single emotion I felt the first time came rushing back just as intensely.

Logan and Kaylan have my heart, especially Kaylan. She was incredibly strong and brave despite everything she went through. She endured so much pain, yet she always had the best interests of everyone at heart—especially Logan. Her resilience and kindness made me admire her even more. And then there’s Logan… Oh god! I lost count of the number of times I wanted to punch or even strangle him. I know he suffered a lot, and I do sympathize with him, but the things he said to Kaylan over and over again made me so mad! I wanted to shake some sense into him. That being said, I loved seeing him grovel, though I honestly wish Kaylan had made him grovel even more. She is far too sweet and forgiving—I wouldn't have let him off that easily. But despite everything, I adore them both. Nothing and no one could ever make me hate either of them.

Aside from Logan and Kaylan’s story, I absolutely loved seeing Leora and Zarek again, along with the entire squad. Their presence added so much depth to the story, and it felt like reuniting with old friends. I can’t wait to read everyone else’s books, especially Sebastian’s—his story is the one I’m most excited for!

If you love military romance with an intense enemies-to-lovers dynamic, emotional depth, and the perfect blend of angst and redemption, then you absolutely need to read this book. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this one!

The second book in the Squad Six series and let me say this I loved it so much like I was so sad by the ending of the first one but this book made me so happy by the end of it. I loved Logan's character in the first book alot that I was excited when I started the book. I love the chemistry between Logan and Kaylan. I absolutely adored Kaylan so much, she was such a strong character that even after being through so much she had never break down once and helped Logan to survive in the start of the book. Also the way he was possessive for her 😩. I loved how they both came along in the whole. The character development, the writing it made me addicted so much that I was sad when it came to an end. I literally wanted to cry at some point during Kaylan's Pov in the beginning I mean she had endured so much and whereas Logan in the beginning I wanted to hit him so badly even though he was hurt but I wanted to give him some brains to see what was happening in front him. She was literally helping him but still he hurted her so badly 😭. Even after all this I love this guy so much.

if you love reading book with tropes like found family, enemies to lovers, grovelling, strong FMC, Touch her and die then this is the book for you.

Also this is interconnected series you need to read the first book.

OMG! If I have to describe this book in one sentence it would be - it breaks your heart into pieces and then piece it all together back again and heal you as the book proceeds. 🤌🏻😩

This book made me feel a rainbow of emotions throughout from the very dark one's to the very bright one's and that's the beauty of this book! 😭❤️‍🩹

The plot was slaying throughout, the characters arc in this book is so well thought-off and overall the book is so well structured that it keeps you hooked from the very start till the very end. 🙇🏻‍♀️

I can also assure you'll read one of the best FOUND FAMILY trope in this book & series overall. 🥺

WHAT made my mouth fall to the freaking floor was the goddamn TWIST!!! I didn't see that coming!!!😳

After that twist, this book series just became so much more captivating & interesting that I'm so deeply invested! I can't freaking wait for the next book! 🤌🏻

I don't know why but i feel this book just healed just a small part of me unknowingly and that just makes my experience of reading this so much more special. 🥺❤️‍🩹

I would like to thank Bakul for providing me the opportunity to ARC read this beautiful book! ❤️

This is the second installment of the Squad Six series. It is NOT a standalone, so to truly enjoy the story, you’ll have to read Bound by Valor before.

This book is much darker than the first one of the series. It reminded me of Hunting Adeline. Some triggers include on-page SA and on-page physical torture. Please keep this in mind before you read this book. Your mental health matters🤍

That being said, wow! What a book! The author handled these dark themes well and had me in tears on multiple occasions. My heart was aching for both our leads🥲

I love how the relationship between the leads develop, making it feel very real. Healing isn’t a straight path, which is well written and explored in this book.

It’s not heavy on spice, which feels appropriate given the storyline, but what we got was perfect and I loved every single second of it!🫠

The story is fast paced without feeling rushed, which also applies to the first book of the series.

I highly recommend this series for anyone that’s looking for a fast paced dark military romance that doesn’t require much knowledge of combat lingo to still keep up.

Okay, full disclosure: I’m the author, so yes, I’m absolutely biased. 😅 But I just have to say it—I’m so in love with this book.

Logan stole my heart while I was writing Bound by Valor. I couldn’t shake his pain, his trauma. I knew I couldn’t leave him without hope, without love, without Kaylan. She was everything he needed—someone just as broken, just as fierce, and just as deserving of redemption.

This book isn’t just their story; it’s a journey of survival, trust, and healing. I poured my soul into giving Logan the ending he deserved and watching him face his trauma head-on.

And honestly? I love Bound by Thorns a tiny bit more than Bound by Valor. (But don’t tell Zarek and Leora. 😉) Maybe that’s the curse of being an author—you fall harder for every story you write.

If you’ve read it, I hope Logan and Kaylan’s story moved you as much as it moved me. Thank you for taking this journey with them, and with me. 💖

“That’s twenty-one, Ghost.”

Ok Logan’s and Kaylan’s story - my fave so far! I absolutely loved them - their story will break and heal your heart. I teared up at multiple points of this book and I’m not even sorry for it. This story definitely revolves more around healing from trauma over action, but also setting up the story for the next book, which I honestly didn’t mind as it allowed you to gain a deeper connection to the characters. The found family trope is done so well in these books and I absolutely love it. The suspense and heartbreak that the last like 50ish pages is no joke - I literally threw this book. I’m so keen to see where this series goes and where each character ends up.

“Let’s heal together, Chaos.”

Okay, I can finally breathe. Logan is ALIVE and I am so damn grateful. 😭🖤

From the moment I saw him in Bound by Valor, he was my favorite. There was no way I wanted him to stay dead. But Bound by Thorns isn’t just about survival—it’s about facing your demons, breaking before you heal, and learning to trust when the world has only given you reasons not to.

Logan’s journey was brutal, emotional, and everything I wanted for him. And Kaylan? A force of her own. Together, they wrecked me in the best way possible.

If you love enemies-to-lovers, groveling, and touch her and die energy, this one’s for you. 🔥💀

I'm sorry, Zarek and Leora, but Logan and Kaylan are my favorites now! This book was much more emotional than the first one in the series. There were waves and waves of tension, angst and despair. I felt everything along with the characters. Logan was so broken, angry and confused. And Kaylan...she was so strong. She kept on fighting and in the end, Logan chose to fight alongside her. It was a beautiful, emotional journey. I can't wait to read Kabir and Amelia's story next!

This is the second book in the series, and I highly recommend reading Bound by Valor first to truly appreciate the journey. That being said — this book was an incredible read.

The writing is captivating, and the characters are beautifully layered and realistic. Both the main characters have gone through so much trauma, but instead of letting it break them, they rise and fight back. I especially loved Kaylan, the female lead. She’s strong, resilient, and full of heart. Even after all she’s been through, she keeps going, and that kind of strength is inspiring.

Logan, the male lead, was just as compelling. He’s not perfect — he has his flaws and makes mistakes, but his growth throughout the story is powerful. His loyalty, his protective nature, and the way he tries to make things right really stood out to me.

The story is full of emotional depth — grief, healing, and raw vulnerability. The romance is intense, the character development is strong, and the plot keeps you engaged the whole way through. This book delivered everything I hoped for and more. A solid 4.5 stars from me.

I love Logan
In fact, I've loved him since the first book.
It's like they say, it's always dark when the sunshine side character gets their own book.

Since Logan was generally a fun, jolly person, the amount of angst in this book really got to me
I did cry
