Told from dual points of view, Elle and J must figure out how to bring down an MC, steer clear of flying bullets in Missouri and south of the border, all the while making sure Fernie is out of the line of fire. Elle's love for J is tested, as is her belief that she will ever find "normal" with the man she loves.

J is determined to make things right so he can give Elle the "normal" life she deserves. He just has to stay alive to make it happen. With his own personal sun by his side, he knows nothing is impossible. That is, until the bullets are redirected from his head to Elle's.

I held my hand up, showing him the ring he’d put on me. “This is us,” I told him. It was more than a ring. Well, to me it was more. “I promise to love you ‘til the day I die.”

"Us, baby. This is us. I'll love you 'til the sun ceases to shine."

Emily is a Midwestern Gal, but could be anywhere as you read this. She gypsy's the country, as well as south of the border. Adventure feeds her soul, and offers great writing material. She loves kids and working with kids, but can only handle caring for four-legged furry friends. A crazy dog has trained Emily to be her partner in life. Vices include Swedish Fish, ignoring chores in favor of reading, and caring too much for people in her life. She chose to write this bio in third person as she is an Aries, and found writing in first person ended up with her writing an excessively long life story. Aries like to talk about themselves. It is something Emily is working on being more mindful of.

Review
Well this was a day I thought would never come….the ending to Elle and J’s story.  Finally, so many questions are answered, loose ends are tied up and the future can finally be seen through all the fog and distractions.

US also goes into further detail about Fernie, Isabel, Chris, Dig, Link, Cash and Son.  We see multiple POV’s mainly Elle and J but snuck in there is also Chris and Fernie. This book delves more into the life of J and his dealings with the MC and taking back what is rightfully his.

"When it’s you and me, the ice on my heart melts,
and it becomes yours.
You own my heart, my love… me.
I’m in this with you now, and I’ll die for you,
just like you will me.
I can’t lose you again.
A life without you isn’t an option.”

Through the year, we have seen so many emotions blossoming between these two lovers and finally it seems like they know exactly what they want – no more questions, no more second guessing.  We see a more sensitive side with J in US – where he worries about his past and if Elle will accept him for who he was.

So many feelings were brought out while reading this…suspense, love, hate, loyalty, devastation, humor, sadness and happiness.  Ms Eck has a way of writing that is “in your face”…. her books aren’t fluffy or sugar-coated.  Her heroines are strong willed, stubborn, and real.  They aren’t millionaires or perfect but instead they are the girl who could be walking down the street or the short order cook at your favorite restaurant.

"Choose me to spend your life with.
Choose me to love.
Choose me to be the man you let love you until you take your last breath,
because I will. I’ll love you the rest of our lives on earth,
and then some. I’ll protect you, now and forever, come what may.
Just—choose me.”

“I choose you, my darling Bear.”

These are the reasons why I love all books by Ms. Eck!  I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.  I’m thinking we haven’t seen the end of the MC or our characters.

Re-Cap
Elle escapes her captives and now J and her must hide in Mexico with Fernie.  They need to stay on the down low and out of sight of whoever is trying to hurt J by taking Elle.  This gives them time to reaffirm their love and talk about what the future holds for them.

In my arms, I took her suffering, and engulfed her with my love.
For this woman, I'd endure infinite amounts of agony so she could unravel in the safety of my arms.

They need to wait it out until Burns can be taken care of and the MC brought back from dangerous hands.

It doesn’t matter where they hide because for some reason trouble keeps popping up during the most unexpected times putting both J and Elle in danger.

Wrap-Up
On one hand I’m sad to see these two characters go – through this trilogy they have grown on me and have a special place in my heart.  But the on the other hand – it’s great to see what the future may hold for these characters.

Elle and J have been through so much already, but they still have more left before they can really start their lives together. The plan to kill Burns and get back the MC is set and now it's time for things to finally come to a head. Elle and J have had their hardshipd, and they will have more, but they've learned that they are nothing if their not together.

Elle has and always will be a tough ass, but she's been living for years inside her own head, living life but not really living it. Now she's realixing there's more to life, and she's willing to do what it takes for her man, her friends, and "her" kids.

J just wants it all to end. He's tired and while he wants Elle he doesn't want her to be subjected to his life. He's forgets sometimes just how tough she is though, but she's always there to smack him upside the head and remind them.

They both have their times of crazy, but through it all they've learned that being there for each other is the only way they want to live. They bring balance to each other, and are there for each other no matter what. Their story has had it's ups and downs, but in the end they found each other.

Well this book ends J and Elle’s story but I believe there are more books to come for the other characters.

I must say Emily Eck does know how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat. I feel she started off in book one, a bit rocky. It was a bit too wordy and slow burning.

However, I think the series got better with each book. I cared about Elle and I hoped J could sort out his troubles and that they both could have a HEA.

I’ve read this series in two days because all the books had been released and they kept my interest. However, I don’t usually like serials as there’s always a cliffhanger and always a big delay between books.

I would definitely read more from Ms Eck.

This is the final book about J and Elle, and I couldn’t wait to see how it all works out for these 2. They have been through many highs and lows and I feel the book ended the way that is should have.

We start this book with insight into what happened to Elle and Chris, we get the back story to them becoming friends. This comes because of a nightmare that Elle has in which she flashes back to that night. This happens because of how book 2 ends. The kidnapping that took place brings the emotions out for her. We get to watch as J consoles and comforts her. They finally decide to stop star fishing and tell each other the things they feel rather than hide them.

Elle and J are fighting for their lives, even if they weren’t aware of it to start off with. The kidnapping is just the beginning and they need to fight to stay alive. We read about what they are willing to do for each other and what they are willing to go through in order to make sure that they have a future together. J is feeling the weight of all this, he feels that he is responsible for Elle’s life change, he feels it is his fault that she is by his side and not alone and safe. But he just can’t give her up.

We get Fernie in this story as well as some other characters that are thrown in. we have J’s MC Brothers and we have new girl Isabel. We also get a chapter from Chris. It’s amazing to get to read from these pov’s as well as J and Elle’s. We feel the guilt that Elle has because of Fernie in this book. She feels that he is being out into this danger with them, when he shouldn’t have been involved.

We get to see the softer sides of both Elle and J which is fantastic to read, I love when they both open up to each other and tell it how it is. Elle finally talks openly about her feelings for J, “You own my heart, my love…me. Im in this with you now, and I’ll die for you, just like you would for me. I can’t lose you again. A life without you isn’t an option.”

I loved this book, and I felt the way it ended was perfect for them. They got their home. I look forward to reading more of Emily Eck’s work. Well done on another brilliant read.

“Us, baby. This is us. I’ll love you ‘til the sun ceases to shine. I’ll keep telling you until you believe me.”

Elle & J are trying to solve how to bring down head of an MC. Are they safer in Mexico or Missouri? Will he be able to keep her safe and give her a normal life? Will Elle’s glowing sunshine be enough to help lead J into happiness?

Will Elle be able to maintain safety for one of her most beloved cubs? Fernie is brought back into the picture. Will he be able to step up and be a man or is he truly one of Elle’s cubs that she “mothers?”

I really liked Us and was sad to say that this was the end to L&J’s story. I gave it 4 stars because yes I got my HEA but only partially. I wanted to know more at the end and I’m guessing that will lead into the next book that leads into Chris’ story. I love how the story goes back and forth from Elle and J each telling their version of what’s going on. It lets you get into both their heads to know what each one is thinking and their perception of their environment. I don’t want to give away name and characters to give spoilers, but I wanted to mention that some of Elle’s favorite books are mentioned in this book. I personally have not read Kristen Ashley’s Dream Man series, but after the comments about that series, I must read it, plus my cousin is a huge fan.

A perfect ending for a series!
This story has brought hot scenes, a sexy bad boy biker, Danger, romance and most of all a love that would start a war!
J and Elle light up the pages of this book and bring you to a conclusion that leaves you sated and happy. All the characters that you loved in the first books are there helping them along in this latest situation they find them selves in. We have revelations into Elle's past and glimpse of a beautiful future. The determination they have for a future where they can live normal is obsessive and heart warming. They would each die for the other or die protecting the other. I loved it! Amazingly written and totally engrossing you wont be able to put this book down.

Loved it!

Having read the first two books and fallen in love with Elle + J I had to see how their story would end. Love the writing style of Emily and the characters! Will recommend to everyone I know as they are a modern day Bonnie + Clyde, if they were ultimately good that is!

This will not be the final book in the series, but it will wrap up Elle & J's story. The other books will focus on other characters from the L&J series--Chris, José, and Fernie & Genesis.
