This book was not what I expected - it was more than a pleasant surprise! It was not a page turner, as I could only read a couple of pages and then have to pause and reflect. I was fascinated as I would see how the world has changed since 1930 (pre Great Depression, pre World War 2), and yet man's condition has remained the same ("If we look in we shall be discouraged, if we look around we shall be distracted, but if we look up we shall have peace."). Jones maintains that Pentecost, receiving and living in the Holy Spirit, must be at the center of the Christian life if we are to live victoriously. I highly recommend this excellent book!
