Pearson, Alpha of the Bound and Bonded Pack, had always wanted to find his mate. But as an Alpha he had always assumed the man he would be paired with would be a submissive. But when Dante appears in his office hoping to be accepted into the pack, he is anything but the submissive Pearson had believed was his Fated lover. Dante has a past of his own, and while he didn't try to hide it from his Fated Mate, he should have known it was going to cause problems. If Dante's pride didn't stop this mating from happening, then events outside of the Bound and Bonded pack just might. Getting the promise of a HEA was going to be a lot more difficult for these two men, than it should have been. This book is about male gay wolf shifters. Although set in a BDSM club there are no actual scenes of BDSM in this particular title. However there are scenes of M/M sex. If this is not something you are into then this book is not for you.
Lisa Oliver had been writing non-fiction books for years when visions of half dressed, buff men started invading her dreams. Unable to resist the lure of her stories, Lisa decided to switch to fiction books, and now stories about her men clamor to get out from under her fingertips. When Lisa is not writing, she is usually reading with a cup of tea always at hand. Her grown children and grandchildren sometimes try and pry her away from the computer and have found that the best way to do it, is to promise her chocolate. Lisa will do anything for chocolate. Sequel to Don't Touch Bound and Bonded 1 featuring the same club and werewolf pack, with the pack's alpha as an MC. A not quite cliffhanger in that it has series plot arc continuance, but it mentions that book 3 with two different protagonists should be out August 2014.
Alright, I know it's fluff and I like it but I've never entirely understood these paranormal books where the characters have run off to escape tormented pasts and build a great gay utopia, where only gay men can join. Because what about gay women? What about nice heterosexual wolves who are fine with homosexual wolves? Where do so many gay wolves come from to create such large packs? Why do they all have to be into BDSM? Is it the wolf thing? What if the woman wolf was dominant, and do they still do the BDSM thing in all the other packs? It's like those series where the entire family turns out to be gay (looking at you Joyee Flynn and Stormy Glenn), it always jolts me slightly out of the story because there are too many unlikelihoods in these scenarios (because turning into wolves and having magic and drinking blood are so common and believable!). But I do love these types of books nonetheless. So yes, I'll be looking for book 3 when it's released. And yes, it's worth a read.
My Review: I really enjoyed this book. It pairs up two Alpha shifters who both also happen to be Dom's...not exactly what one would expect for a natural mating. But it works for Dante and Pearson and it works really well.
Pearson is the Alpha of this entirely gay male pack...and some homophobic jerks have decided to target the pack. Even though Dante ranks lower than Pearson...it's not by much and it's awesome at how strong of a team these two Alphas together make. I also really really enjoyed the fact that neither of them naturally bottom. That little twist made it so sexy when one of them wanted and needed to be the bottom...complete submission...gah...like I said, so sexy.
I like shifter stories. I love male/male romances. And I adore two seriously Alpha males who want nothing more than to love and protect the love of their life. This book nailed all three of those aspects and I really, really enjoyed it.
The threat to the pack isn't resolved in this book though...it's getting picked up in the next book or two of the series...but those two get away from exclusive wolf shifters, so I'm not sure if I plan to read them or not. It will depend on how my mood swings. But this installment was well worth my time. I recommend it.
Pearson is the pack Alpha. While interviewing potential new clients for Bound and Bonded he smells his fated mate in the room. Dante is a Dom looking for a new pack, a new home, and a new job. While waiting to be interviewed he realizes the Alpha is his fated mate.
Between Dante being blamed for an unfair kill by his old pack, new dangers to Pearson's pack, and a betrayal by a pack member things are not going to be so easy for them. Add on top of that a monumentally bad decision on Pearson's part where Dante is concerned and there might not be a mating.
Like all books in this series it was a great story. However the angst level of it was quite a bit lower than in the other books. Which was a real shame. The book is in both MC's POV. I added it to my absolute favorites list.
This is quite the entertaining series but I have to say my only problem with it is: for a shifter book you never get to see the wolf show itself. The author talks about the inner wolf but that's the closest you really get. Just saying, if you are writing a shifter book it would be nice to see or read about the wolf coming out. :-(
Another sexy sequel by Lisa Oliver! The Bound and Bonded series has it all; Wolves, Passion, Treacherous Traitors, and Love. I loved the connection and the dominance battle between Pack Alpha, Pearson and the new Dom wolf in the Pack, Dante. Not only are they fighting a battle internally with their individual wolves, a problem threatens their Pack, and neither of them are willing to risk their club, their livelihood or each other. I’m looking forward to the next book in the Bound and Bonded series to see the outcomes of the danger to the pack as well as more steamy, scenes of passion! A+ Oliver!
Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. Read and reviewed by Shannon for Alpha Book Club
This one leaves part of an ongoing story line totally hanging. I now have to read the third book... The story of the pack is getting more interesting so, I'm sticking with it for now.
This book, like the first, has major formatting issues.
2+ stars. The title is misleading because there is no BDSM. Too short and ends with a cliffhanger. Pearson doesn't clear his mate Dante's unfair kill charge. Nice to see two alphas bottom for each other. Too bad we don't get to see them scene together.
I was very relieved that this story, unlike the first in the series, all interactions are clearly fully consensual, which is as important to me in a story a romanic story as it is in real life. The story, furthermore, is quite enjoyable, with some of the most interesting and spunky characters that Lisa has written, and that's certainly saying something. The only issue I have with this one, that forced me to knock down my rating considerably, was the constant and heavy use of terms of endearment. I understand from other stories in her shifterverse that love happens very quickly between mates, but Lisa is usually far better about describing it in varying and more expressive terms. Too much use of "gazed longingly at the man who would be his forever," too much "plundering" of mouths, too much "love of my life" without any internal thoughts shared about how fast they were falling, too much sickly sweet discussions about feelings without any idea how they got there. I literally read romance because people talk about their feelings and fall in love... but this one wasn't done gracefully.
2/5. Great fun to read, but my head hurts from rolling my eyes too often. Sorry Lisa! I'll 100% be reading the next one, because I know she can do SO much better.
This is the story of Pearson the Alpha of the pack meeting his mate, another alpha wolf named Dante. Fortunately Dante has no interest in being the Alpha of a pack himself but it is quite a job to figure out how to be Alpha Mate and figuring out their roles and their relationship is the main story. The pack finds out that outside forces are planning to attack them in hopes of taking over. This is not settled in this book and it will be covered in the next book in the series. Still an enjoyable read and you will want to continue the series.
I actually really didn't like this series. Every book was a novella. They were very under developed. But as series progressed the stories them selves were just awful. The first couple were ok but by the time we got to the vampire and then the Omega. Books the inconsistencies were just frustrating. Why these strong subs were allowing themselves to be abused n scarred by humans is beyond me? The stories just sucked. The constant abuse to explain it then they are mated n boom fixed. The fact they were novellas, rushed, seemed so farfetched.
Book Two in the Bound and Bonded series, I liked it but not as much as Book One. Nice to see Steele and Levi again, as well as the pack leader Pearson, who finally finds his mate. No BDSM here but plenty of sexual encounters. An OK read.
Another good short story from the gay wolf shifter pack Lisa Oliver has written. These books are easy to read with great storylines and so far they’ve had a happy ending with finding the true mates.
Continuing the story of the Bound and Bonded pack, this time we get Pearson, the Alpha, as he finds his mate. He meets his mate as he is interviewing six new potential pack/club members, not knowing which of the six is his mate. Happily it’s the one he wanted, tall, dark, handsome and an alpha as well. Not a pack Alpha, but with an alpha personality. Pearson may be a Dom, and like to beat a twinky ass, but what he really wants in a mate is a true match. Unfortunately he makes a dick move and chases off his mate.
Dante had some issues in his home pack and was forced to leave. He ends up in Pearson’s territory, discovering a gay pack with a serious tendency toward BDSM. This seems like a great opportunity, and Dante applies for membership. The problem is he is out of money, living in a dump and has baggage. He’s happy to find his mate, but then Pearson betrays their tentative relationship and Dante, the proud man that he is, leaves. Steel and Levi from the last book step up and help sort things out.
So my complaint about the first book being short and shallow, is not true with this book! It’s a bit longer and has waaaay more plot and depth. Dante has drama in his past that comes out, and there is an interloper in the Bound and Bonded pack that causes some serious drama. Much more plot and drama, and less sex in this one. I liked it much better. The writing is improved as well, still not great but definitely better. I almost feel like there needs to be a good run through with a red pen by an editor to clean up a few issues. I saw a few repeated words and such. Not enough to pull me out of the story, but it could be better.
I really liked Pearson and Dante, I liked the building sexual tension between them, then the explosive release when it comes. And comes again! I liked that they were both alpha, and I liked that they both topped. They have a great connection, and the building drama around them added nicely to their story. Well done!
On to the next book.

I waited for this book to come out after I read the first one Don't Touch. I loved it! I loved how vulnerable both MC's could be towards each other. Pearson was loving and understanding towards Dante and when he messed up royally he did what he had to do to fix it. There is also a twist in this book you would not have seen coming! I loved it! The only thing I disliked was the cliff hanger because now I have to wait for the next book to come out, so that I can read what will happen next! Well played Lisa, well played!
This is the second book in her Bound and Bonded series. It had a definite story and well described characters. I really enjoyed it. If you liked any of her other works this is a must read. It is about Pearson, the pack Alpha and Master Dom of the Bound and Bonded club. He finds his mate and as expected things do not go smoothly. The supporting story is about a threat to the pack. We get a happy ending but the story will continue in the next book.
A short book about Dante and Pearson. Its number 2 of 5 and although you did not have to have read book 1 ( it features a different pairing) this story flows through to book 3. Pearson and his mate Dante are on the trail of the mysterious Favo, who is trying to incite a riot and take over the wholly gay pack. An interesting read and I will certainly be continuing on with the series.
3.5 enjoyable stars for a BDSM-themed book applying the "instant mate" trope and applying it to two Doms, an entertaining exploration of how two men accustomed to being in charge work out their unbreakable attraction to each other.
Pearson the Pack Alpha and owner of Bound and Bonded, he is a Dom. Dante is his fated mated who is a Dom aswell. Quick read. No full on BDSM in the book. Great read. Storyline is on going. Well written and entertaining.
This was a nice addition to this series.. Liked Dante and Pearson.. Also with this book u get to see a nice plot develop.. Looking forward to the next book ....
The second book in Bound and Bonded series was a bit better. Sure sex scenes were unattractive and bland. Nonetheless the main storyline is staring to get somewhere.
