★★★★ 1/2! Forbidden Attraction, book 1 of 3. To rebound dumped & heartbroken college student agrees to a sexual fling with her sexy & enigmatic Professor!

“Damn. Looks like I am going to be your teacher on a whole different level. Let the depravity begin,” he smiles.”

Books in The Forbidden trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: Forbidden Attraction
Book 2: Forbidden Love
Book 3: Untitled

Forbidden Attraction (book 1) opens up to USC college student Siobhan Gallagher, Shiv being dumped by her boyfriend of 5 years. To make matters worse he admits to cheating and quickly attaches himself to someone new plus he speaks freely about their boring sex life. Shiv is heartbroken, embarrassed and self-conscious.

Their painful break up is observed by their new wealthy, enigmatic and beyond sexy Professor Grayson Michaels. Shiv cannot help but be smitten by his classic good looks and imposing presence. But due to school’s strict non-fraternization policy her attraction is indeed forbidden….

Away from school Shiv keeps running into Professor Michaels as she socializes his step sister. From the onset Professor Michaels gives her mixed signals; by parading beautiful women in front of her while letting her know he lusting after her. And he makes no apologies for his non-committal and kinky ways nor for guarding his secrets. Imagine Shiv surprise when first he proposes an exclusive clandestine weekend affair.

“I can be your rebound guy, but that’s it.”

And so their nothing-short-of tempestuous affair begins; A rollercoaster, even before it commences, with set-backs, confusion, secrets, villains, lies, deceit and shockers much thanks to the complex Professor Michaels, his mysterious past and women vying for his heart…

“Be warned that I like complete control. When you cross my threshold Friday evening, you are mine to do what I please.”

 photo FA1HxBSbysb_zpscf799595.gif

Eight words to describe Professors Grayson Michaels: Enigmatic, jaded, blunt, charismatic, dominant, elusive, possessive and non-committal.

 photo FA1hexBSbysb_zpse54467d8.gif

Seven words to describe Siobhan Gallagher, Shiv: Sweet, naïve, loyal, insecure, indecisive, sensitive and broken .

Forbidden Attraction is fast paced keeping you on your toes. My only wish would have been for Grayson to be a few years older. Not surprisingly it ends much like it reads – tumultuously! Not a cliffhanger per se, rather at a time when you want to keep on reading. Needless to say I am very much looking forward to book 2, Forbidden Love for the continuation of their story!

Larger-than-life hero! Forbidden and enticing plot! Mind-blowing sex scenes! Excellent debut by S.R. Watson!

“He is raw and gritty with sex, but at the same time he gives me unparalleled pleasure.”

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!!*

description

Forbidden Attraction kind of fell into some typical clichés of this genre and NA reads. But, it still was a sensual and entertaining read. I guess, you could sum this story up as: girl (Siobhan) is in a long-term relationship with guy and thinks that he’s the love of her life. Guy cheats on girl, girl is heartbroken while guy is off parading with his “slore.” And then girl by luck of fate catches the eye of college professor (and he for her) and he propositions her for a relationship of sex only and nothing more. But of course, some drama occurs as the girl finds herself falling for her professor and then his old flame shows her evil face and causes trouble.

My thoughts: Forbidden Attraction is like your normal taboo romances where usually one partner is off-limits except in this one, both are: professors and their students cannot be involved. Well, this book covers both points.

With Siobhan and Professor Michaels hitting forbidden territory, it's only matter before the shoe drops and everything comes pouring out and not in a good way.

It's kind of a countdown to when everybody's going to find out about them and what will be the future for these two lovers? Are they meant to be or not?

I mean, with Professor Michaels coming off initially as “Don’t expect anything else from me, it’s just sex”, you can only expect that of course that it is not going to be the case with Siobhan.

It's obvious that even with his shady and sketchy exterior that this facade of his is beginning to crack and he's starting to feel something for Siobhan. But, with his ex and his secrets threatening to tear them apart, it’s just a matter of when sh*# hits the fan and where all the pieces fall.

description

I am now curious as to where the author is going to take book two as Siobhan and her Professor Michael’s relationship, if you can call it that, is now at a standstill and a turning point. I can’t wait to see what comes next! The ending nearly killed me! Aahh!! *cries*

This book..... I tried, I wanted to, but I couldn't! I was really excited to read this book. I love the teacher/student forbidden love dilemma but this book makes me never want to read this particular genre ever again!

Where do I begin; the heroine Siobhan. She was an annoying, weepy, incredibly insecure and just dumb. She follows her boyfriend to college only to get dumped. She totally falls apart and all you keep reading about constantly is her crying about something trivial. She keeps making "drunk" passes @ her professor and when he rebuffs her she falls completely apart....Again! There's one thing I cant stand and that's a weak bitch which Siobhan clearly is.

Then there is Professor Michaels. I hated him too. He didn't come off as sexy, confident or enticing @ all. He came off like a creepy old perv who sleeps with his pretty, naïve and/or gullible female students. That spells "past your prime" LOSER to me!

Also, I just didn't feel a fire or a connection between Siobhan and the professor and I felt no connection to them as the reader. I didn't care about them and I really wanted to.

Next on my "Why I hate this book" list is the writing. The writing is extremely simplistic, rushed and oh so predictable. When I read a book I want/expect the author to paint a picture for me that's detailed enough for me to feel like I'm there with the characters, experiencing the story with them. This book did no such thing. A good book should be an entertaining escape for the reader. This book made me want to escape and find another book to read. I actually dreaded the idea of having to finish this book. I absolutely HATE not finishing a book once I begin to read it, but life is too short and I didn't feel like wasting anymore time.

Most importantly: Sex. I love me some sex in my books!! I gotta have it and it better be good (just like in real life, LOL!!!). Make it hot, raw, kinky and frequent! Sometimes I only continue to read some books because I know some hot steamy sex is coming my way. Not the case with this book. Oh no! Since I only got to page 82, the one and only sex scene I read was brief and disappointing. After that there was no way I was going to continue to torture myself by turning another page! The sex scene was completely rushed and lacked any kind of heat. How dreadful!

Lastly, Professor Michaels turns out to be wealthy. How original. How predictable. Oh my God this has been done to death! The old story of the wealthy older man who teaches the "virginal" younger character how to give and receive sexual pleasure. I'm so over this. ***Newsflash*** WE NEED A NEW TYPE OF HERO!!!!!!I'm so tired of this same old story. Do all us readers a favor and put this tired cliché of a love story out of its misery!

To conclude my review: yes, I hated this book, but I don't think the author is untalented or unable to write a good book. I just think the storytelling could've been much better than this. Much better. There was nothing fresh, unique or exciting about this story. Would I give this author another chance? Probably not, but I'm just one person and thank God for that because if I ran the world this book would be.....let's just say there would be one less book wasting space on the book shelf. Happy Reading

This is a kind of FSOG meets Gabriel's Inferno....(which happen to be two of my fave books). But those books are better than this one. Young college student falls for her professor..so they agree to an "arrangement" . However, as in most of these cases, the student tends to fall in love very, very quickly. There is drama, heart break, and some pretty good sex. The dialogue is a bit cheesy at times, but I'm going to over look that. This does end in a cliffhanger. I will be moving on to book 2

Sibohan is starting her senior year. She's got an amazing best friend, Jordan and a boyfriend of 5 years, Liam. But what a piece of shit. He cheats. They break up. Tells herself to focus on studies. Guess who the teacher is? Exactly. Mr. Grayson Michaels

He's everything from. Hot. Sexy. Brooding. Domineering. Handsome. And what not.

It's lust at first sight for Shiv. The lust was mutual. But still he's the hot professor ONLY [Psst..Just for a while. Lol.]

Shiv goes out to a friend's place. And to my own guilty pleasures, Grayson was her new friend brother.

The lust between them is very much evident. It was dripping down my kindle.

Few encounters and none can deny the urge to act upon the lust. They enter into an arrangement. Knowing very well the relationship is forbidden.

description

The hero is a professor. He's filthy rich. Did I mention a playboy too?

Of course. I loved it. What's not to love. The guy was like a dream come true. Wet dream kind of.

description

Grayson managed to give me goose bumps at like every page. The forbidden element was very different here than the other books I've read about the same sort of forbidden relationships. There relationship was not exactly romantically based. Grayson wanted her. Shiv wanted him. But with no strings attached. Their relationship was mostly forbidden in Grayson's mind.

I wanted more insight on Grayson's mind. But I guess that was the part of the mystery here.

But as they say, A person is not exactly as what we see them to be?Right.

There are still some mysteries that are bothering me. But I guess I will have to wait.

I really loved this book.I will desperately waiting for the next book. S.R. Watson did an amazing job. I want the next book now. SERIOUSLY

This book contains a lot of explicit sexual scenes so this book may not be for everyone. Siobhan(Shiv) was starting her senior year at college. She lives with her best friend, Jordan in her condo. Shiv has been dating Liam and been his girlfriend for five years. All three of them went off to college so they could all be together. Shiv thinks Liam has been acting strange for two weeks. He wants to meet her for tea and when they meet he blares out that he slept with someone else. Shiv is crushed and she runs out of the shop and gets a cab home. Jordan lets her brude for a few days but thats it. In Shiv's one class she has with Liam their new professor is a very handsome man. His name is Greyson Michaels and she makes eye contact with him as well as most of the girls in the class. After Liam breaks up with Shiv he starts parading his new girl in her face at class. She is so upset one day and runs into Greyson and he drops all his papers. As they are picking them up he whispers in her ear don't let him know your upset and see you cry. After that day she runs into him a few times. He lets her know he is interested in her but just for bed time fun nothing else. They have to keep it a secret so he doesn't lose his job. They start a weekend only relationship of sex only. She promises herself she will not lose her heart but the longer it goes on the more invested she gets. She keeps running into his ex and she always says they are still together. This is an unusual story and it is very interesting but it doesn't end with this book there is still so much more to find out. you will not be able to put this one down

I was given this for an honest review.. I have to say I was absolutely surprised by this book. Honestly I do not always enjoy the Teacher/student romances. But this was hot, sexy, and panty melting like you would not even believe.
This is the story of Grayson and Sibohan. Sive had moved away from home to follow her boyfriend Liam to the college of his choice. All went very smoothly for a couple years until Liam deciedes the Sive is holding him back and of course cheats on her and breaks up with her. She is forced to figure it all out without him. Then she meets Grayson and instant freaking hot attraction. Only problem is that He is her teacher.

This was one of those books that I had a real hard time putting down. Once I was engrossed in the story I DID NOT want to leave it. This book is AMAZING and I simply cannot wait for the next one...

Absolutely Amazing!!!

So Shiv got on my nerves a few time. To me she was weak and let people get to her to fast. I guess to naive. Liam was just an asshole and selfish. Grayson or should I say Professor was just hmmm HOT and SEXY!! lol if you like HOT Alpha man then Grayson is your guy. I really enjoy this book and I'm desperately be waiting for the next book.

Intrigued and wanting to read more....sexiness and a mystery wrapped into one. I want a look inside Grayson's mind (a Grayson POV would be terrific). Guess I have to wait until November to find out what is around the corner for these two.

Forbidden Attraction by S.R. Watson

description

So the story of Shiv senior year goes like this...her boyfriend of five year dump her and dump her and also stars a new hooks up with a classmate of her, so this make her miserable until she meets Grayson, her professor/friends brother, they are attracted to each other but he dosnt do the flowers and heart, so he offers her a arrangent, the are exclusive but NO LOVE. So they start a " just sex relationship " , but like all books off this kind we know She falls inlove with him. Then theres Vanessa (HATE THAT BITCH), she is the girlfriend/ex/friend/crazy-bitch that knows a HUGE secret that dosnt let Grayson be able to love someone...bla bla bla they end the relationship BAD.

" Im going to own all your firsts with the exception of you virginity" - Grayson That was H.O.T.

The book was awsome, I really want the next one, cant wait to see what happend to Shiv and Grayson!

Next book is out in NOVEMBER 16.

I would have liked this a lot better if Siobhan wasn't so annoying. Grayson was honest about what he wanted and she had a hard time accepting it. We later find out the truth about his life and boy I really hope Vanessa gets what she deserves. With that ending I'm glad to know that I have the next book already. I just hope that Siobhan grows up and stops being immature.

THERE ARE SOME STRONG SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW.

I strongly dislike writing negative reviews but this had to be done. (Please do not be offended by this review).

I don't understand why I pushed myself through this one - stubbornness perhaps? I almost DNF'd it at 23%.

I honestly feel as if I am missing something. There are so many high ratings for this and I wonder, how? It is literally a mimic of 50 Shades of Grey in a vaguely different setting - I don't even understand how this qualifies as "student/teacher", when it barely seems to matter to either of them; particular the overly obsessive, controlling male (who, of course, had a 'tragic event' that altered his behaviour - no abusive story is complete without that), who seems to think that his job is just an add on as something to do. It makes it more exciting when the teacher cares about their job and seems passionate about it - in this instance, it seems like a throwaway plot device. I feel like I'm just reading a regular old romance novel here; without the teacher student twist (which I love - I adore T/S novels). So right off the bat, it loses some of its much needed excitement. There is no tenseness created from the fact that the character is attached to his job. In fact, I think he couldn't care less about it. Right from the off, it's dry.

The main characters are absolute saps. "Shiv" says how she is different to every other girl multiple times throughout the novel, but she certainly isn't anything extraordinary. In fact, she differs in no way to other people around her. One trope I cannot stand is the special snowflake "I'm so different" trope. And, unfortunately, this novel embodied the majority of the things I cannot stand. This is just one of the many. Shiv annoyed me endlessly; she has no backbone, she's annoyingly indecisive, she's too attached to her drink, and oh god if I read one more statement about how "her body isn't like the other girls'" I may scream! (also, the money aspect is played up too much, too. She isn't the only college girl with money worries. NOT a special snowflake!)

The villainous female has been done many a time and she was no different to any other I've read - jealous ex girlfriend who saunters around and explains why, oh why, the male is so twisted. It's always thanks to a traumatic experience. This was done poorly. Been there, done that. (E.L James, is it you under a pseudonym?) The villainous jealous girl was hardly a woman of depth. She was so 2D and see through.

This is honestly a direct copy of 50 Shades. I don't know which came first, but the resemblance is uncanny. I think that's what deterred me from liking this book so much in the first place; it feels like I'm reading about Christian and Ana opposed to Shiv and Grayson. S&G are the exact same as C&A, so...

The characters are dull, have no background stories, there is no development (character or plot development), the storyline is incredibly predictable (even the car crash - I mean, come on?!), the plot has no movement, you can predict even the next sentence... Grayson giving in and saying "I can bend my rules for you" was pathetic, her falling in love was so obvious, Liam being a sap was also incredibly irritating... It was all just so... Meh.

The only good factor was that the writing was decent; I'll give the author a pat on the back for that!

I truly do hate writing such negative reviews but this book has truly irked me. I feel like I have read 50SOG for the second time and I'm honestly pained. Alas, I apologise for the thoroughly negative review and, if you pick up the book, I sincerely hope you enjoy it. :)

Siobhan Gallagher thought she had it all. She was so wrong. The first step in her loss of control and her life was when she walked into her first class of the semester and spotted her professor, who just happened to be one of the most gorgeous men she had ever seen.
Professor Michaels, he is every girls dream. He is sexy, knows how to treat a lady and is a billionaire. He is also a well known playboy that makes it a habit to not keep a girl around for more than one or two nights. He had no idea what he was in for when Siobhan walked into his class.
The next piece of the puzzle of her loss of control is when Siobhan’s long term boyfriend, of 5 years, breaks up with her because he has been screwing other girls on campus. This devastates Siobhan, sending her into an inward depression. Her longtime friend, Jordan, and roommate, makes it her mission to help her friend move on. This leads to the beginning of the forbidden attraction between Siobhan and Professor Michaels when their paths cross again at Bailey’s party, unbeknownst to Siobhan, Professor Michaels (Grayson) is Bailey’s brother.
Even though they both know it is wrong neither one can deny the attraction and need to be with one another. This leads to a very steamy proposition and a relationship that throws all rules out the window.
The connection that is seen between Siobhan and Grayson is steamy, hot and extremely sensual. They do well at keeping the arrangements under wraps, until the ‘Evil’ Vanessa makes it her mission to keep them apart.
This book has the forbidden love, friendship, mystery, heartbreak, tragedy, an evil jealous woman, and the potential for happiness or complete heartbreak for the people involved. This book kept me on my toes; the turns that occurred in Siobhan’s life were definitely not your typical college student. But she did have a very interesting first semester to her last year of college. At times I did want to tell her to suck it up and stop with the tears, but it also made her an endearing character in the book. I defiantly was rooting for the forbidden attraction and I was not prepared for the cliffhanger at the end. It is going to be a long wait to find out what is in store next for Grayson and Siobhan, her friends and the ‘evil’ Vanessa.

Reading the blurb, I thought did was going to be a fun read and did expect a lot of "been there, done that".

The series about Siobhan Gallagher, a student attending professor Grayson classes. There is an immediate attraction and they come to a no-strings-sex agreement, that has to remain a secret at all cost.
Being dumped by Liam, her childhood sweetheart, Siobhan overhears his new girlfriend that Liam “said his ex-girlfriend was only into missionary” she agrees and embarks on the hottest sex with Grayson.

While all the ingredients were present to make this one hell of a taboo story, I got bored and starting skipping. And yes, there was sex, hot sex but it was way too much and so OTT.

But the thing that annoyed me the most was the mistakes, this book needs a thorough editing!!

Wow! This was not what I expected yet, it was everything I hoped for. To start off I do want to say this book is not for everyone but it is for NA readers. I have read several books that are like this one. Though none are written the way Watson has written this tale of forbidden romance. This read has all the drama of a "Forbidden Attraction" and it is perfect. So many over do the drama or don't do enough and it is very hard to relate to. I found this the perfect combination and very relate-able. Sexy and steamy, full of all the great things we all love in NA. And not to mention a very sexy billionaire professor, who can resist that? Grayson and Siobhan pull you in with their forbidden romance, and have you hoping it ends in love and not heartbreak. This is a book you pick up and don't put down until you stop. One that leaves you begging for more at the end and wondering what comes next. I love that even though books like these are very predictable, Watson did a beautiful job leaving you guessing. I cannot wait for more. I got so lost in this and now I am really needing the next book. Like I can not wait a second longer, needing. (Hint, hint) The cliffhanger is killing me and will you too. This is a must read and a very good one at that. Beautiful in it's forbidden ways.

Got an ARC in exchange for review and I am so very happy that I did!!!
I loved it and was left begging for more. A must read for me.

This was a great novel. It is the forbidden love story of Grayson and Siobhan. This is an interesting and great, but it could have been better. I thought the story was great and I thought it was a great student-teacher romance.

Grayson Michaels is the teacher that makes an agreement with Siobhan. He is the bad boy teacher with green eyes. He is charming, passionate and sexy as hell. I think he is a kind and decent man who has a broken past.

Siobhan is his student. She went to the same school as her boyfriend. However, she was dumped by him before they graduated. She then went into an agreement with Grayson. They have great chemistry, and it shows with all of the sexy scenes.

The ending is bittersweet. I hope book 2 brings Grayson and Siobhan closer than in this book. Can't wait to read Forbidden Love, and I hope this series gets better and better. Overall, an interesting read.

Really great story. Great page turner.

This is a story written about a taboo subject..teacher/student. Siobhans heart is broken when her boyfriend admits he's cheated on her. Then Professor Micheal catches her eye. Their story is a rollercoster ride of passion & hot sexy scenes. Can't say much more about story without spoiling it. I will say I couldn't guess what's gonna happen next.

Really enjoyed this book. It was a gripping read. Will say I did rant about the ending. Hope we don't have too long to wait for book two:)

I loved Shiv. I relate to her so much.
The story starts off a little slow but it actually works to set things up. In walks Grayson. He is there to help her get over Liam. It is a no strings attached sex relationship. But sometimes the heart wants what it wants.
Loved the story! There were so many side stories going on and it all flowed together to make this one awesome story. I can not wait to read what is next. Who is her stalker? Does she punch Vanessa (because I would)? Is there a future for her and Grayson?

Not for me
She cries too much!! It pissed me off. Grayson suffers a very serious mood swing, one minute he is all close off and stuff, the next he's tickling her and laughing.
Didn't find the characters very believable neither their "relationship" .The protagonist (Shiv) is weak and too insecure- beyond normal break up insecurity- Grayson is too dominating, didn't think it was very matchable. I couldn't finish the book although the book was well written, well except for the characters.

Hmm I'm on the fence about this book.I love a forbidden storyline but I felt like I was kinda reading 50 shades all over again. From the I don't do romance to wine transferring to the mouth I was like whaat. That being said, the story wasn't that bad & I would probably get book 2 just to see how shivon & grayson story ends.

I can't believe this is her first book ,it was very good & very well written. I must say I hated Vanessa with a passion someone needs to stab her repeatedly ! Grayson was hot , I loved him , Shiv was a little bit annoying she was too clingy & jealous . I can not wait for the next one !

This was not a good book. It was more like a fanfiction based off of 50 Shades of Gray. It was poorly edited and contained unrelatable characters. It needed a lot more work before getting published. I won't be tuning in for the rest of the series.

Even though this book reminded me of a few others (in terms of themes/clichés) I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would have liked some more character development, but it was a good read all the same. I will be reading the next one.
4 stars from me.
